I bought this several weeks ago. I have used it several times on the course. Fits in my pocket, easy to read, great features, and the battery is still almost full. I had an older approach, and I replaced it with this. I did n't want a watch, and did n't want a handheld, so this is perfect.

I bought this for my wife. She likes that it attaches to her golf push cart and is easy to read the big numbers and is fairly accurate. This is the second approach I have bought and the first battery gave out after 10 years.

Love it! Works as advertised! Just as good or better than expected too! My friends have a much more expensive range finder and the distances measured by both are within 2 - 3 yards of each other. Mine is much less expensive and easier to use as well! Love it!

I use my Garmin Forerunner 965 every day and provides great data on running, sleeping, and general well being. My Garmin Forerunner 965 holds its charge for around twenty days so there is never any stress to find a charger. I 'd recommend this product for beginners or experts. When paired with the Garmin Connect app the Garmin Forerunner 965 provides personalized training recommendations. For example when running it will give you a daily recommendation and even a path that it will direct you to follow.

I previously had a Forerunner 745 for ~5yrs. The Forerunner 965 has been an awesome replacement& upgrade! I 'm 5' 5 '' 125lb and the watchface is n't too big - though I would n't want to go any bigger. The battery life has been excellent! I have mostly used the run, trail run, treadmill, ski and backcountry ski activities so far. No issues to report. If I were to add a function, I would love a little flashlight like the Fenix has.

Vivoactive 4 dies and I am in the Garmin family with Devices so the 265 was a logical choice. The additional measurements are great, HRV, training readiness, and sleep metrics. I am still learning the device and what the data is telling me.

The watch does everything I need in a fitness tracker. It gives accurate readings and works for several days on a single charge. It integrates with Strava easily. My only complaint is that it seems to struggle with recording sleep data accurately, but even that is comparable to other smart watches.

obviously, as will most Garmin items, this watch comes with lots of bells and whistles already turned on. After setting the watch up to they way you want it, it's even better. Got the watch about 2 weeks ago. Ran some training and finished a marathon already. Love this thing, and I had a Fenix 5 prior to this that lasted me 6 years and multiple marathons.

My Forerunner 45 was no longer holding its charge through a full marathon, so I updated to the Forerunner 55. It has everything I need to train at an affordable price. You can get more bells and whistles in a higher grade, pricier model, but if you do n't need it, this garmin will do fine: I have it set up to give heart rate, current pace, distance, overall pace, and in lap distance and in lap pace. I have to look at options to see if there is an elevation ascent widget I can add in. My next marathon has more climbing profile than my typical marathon, so I 'm trying to train to specific uphill needs.

[ Bought this last month. First of, MJ was great in replacing the first unit I received, which had clearly been used( likely prior buyer had returned it after wearing it). The unit I received as replacement has been phenomenal. Very user - friendly, awesome battery life, and what is impressing me so far is that Coros is very actively improving its features. Just this week they started rolling out turn - by turn navigation. While music functionality is somewhat limited right now( only storage of MP3s on the watch itself I have no doubt this will keep getting better as well. But even if not this watch will serve me very well for running, cycling, swimming, indoor rowing, and many other things for years to come.

[ i did my homework before i bought the Coros Apex 2 watch, so i thought i knew what to expect when it arrived a few weeks ago. i expected the battery life to be longer than most watches that this compares to. i expected that the Apex 2 would have all the features i needed as an avid mountain biker. this watch is more than that. the watch is lighter and more compact than i thought it would be. i am not sure how they are able to provide the functions and battery life in a smaller lighter package. i definitely have no regrets with this watch and i look forward to all the adventures that i will take it on with me.
$449.00
Highly recommend! ... Highly recommend ... The battery life is amazing - - I only have to charge it once every two weeks, and I usually use it every day for activities that are 1 - 2 hours

[ Great watch. It ’s not too big. It ’s comfortable to wear to sleep. Creating routes on it is easy, though the map is a little hard to see. I ’ ve had it for a couple weeks and I like all the data it provides with regard to quantifying exercise volume, recovery, and optimal levels of activity. As a personal trainer training for several athletic pursuits, it ’s helping me track my recovery. It ’s inspiring me to take my sleep more seriously. I ’ m still learning how to use some of the advanced features. I no longer carry my phone hooked up to my HRM when I exercise. Anyway.. lots of positive changes to my life after finally biting the bullet and getting a smart watch. I am now curious if I could have tolerated the bulkiness( in addition to the higher price tag) of the higher end model. But no regrets. Get this watch.

[ I absolutely love this watch! The battery life is amazing - - I only have to charge it once every two weeks, and I usually use it every day for activities that are 1 - 2 hours long. The GPS has worked great, though I have n't tested it out on routes that might have reduced signal. There is no 'mountain bike' activity, though the regular 'ride' activity works perfectly fine for mountain bike rides. I really like that you can customize the watch face for each activity. Overall, great watch! Highly recommend!

[ I bought this watch a month ago to upgrade from the coros Apex 1. I ’ m a budding ultra runner prepping for my 3rd 100 miler and first 100m in the mountains. Main reasons for upgrade was increased battery life and satellite coverage strength The watch is def an upgrade from the apex 1. Big things I love are the more detailed sleep data( light sleep, deep sleep, rem sleep) vs apex 1 only tracking light sleep and deep sleep Also the satellite coverage is a lot stronger Aesthetically I love the smaller face as I have smaller wrists

Only used my helix 9 four times so far. The cursor sometimes jumps 3 or 4 contour when trying to follow the contour, then sometimes indexes smoothly about 1/2 contour line at a time the way it should. Today I checked the water temperature and my Helix said it was 188 degrees and changing rapidly in the range of 195 to 175 degrees!!! I 'd been on the water for about 3 hours. It eventually fixed itself and read 46. 7 degrees which was probably correct! Not too happy so far, we 'll see!?!?

In the last year I switched electronic brands and chose to put all Humminbirds in my boat. Personally I like the visibility of the screens better. It is easier for me to recognize fish when using down and side imaging. Without a doubt the screen is a huge improvement compared to the other brand I used to use.

I purchased these models for the ease of operation and for the superb side scan. Side Scanning has changed my fishing! The Helix 7 with GPS, Mega down imaging, and Mega side imaging has been a phenomenal addition to my kayak fishing. I no longer feel like I am fishing blindly in the winter when the fish go deep. The `` Mega '' provides extremely detailed views of submerged structure, bottom composition, vegetation, and identify fish well beyond what I imagined possible with this unit. The included Humminbird Basemaps have helped me navigate some of the larger lakes, and the autochart live feature has enabled me to create my own maps of the smaller local lakes I fish. Installation was pretty straightforward. The Helix 7 user interface is friendly. There are numerous videos on YouTube to help you install the Helix 7, navigate the menus and I interpret the maps.

If you want a watch that can track any activity and has a battery last for weeks look no further. This watch does it all, with accurate GPS tracking and long battery life it is perfect for my uses. I mainly use it for running and cycling and its amazing. While this has all the bells and whistles it is definetley meant for the more serious consumer. It may be too much for the beginner with the price.
5
Jeremy S
The battery life is great on it, using this watch for all around activities but tracking your runs are great, I love that the screen is pretty much unbreakable and that the bezel doesn ’ t catch too much light causing glare. Very simple to use out the box, and recommended to set it up on the app for a quicker and easier set up. Don ’ t think about buying it. Just buy it. Did my research and the cheapest place I found it was on here.

This watch has everything you could want, however the basics are really tough to access. The default setup is basically option overload. Fantastic multisport/multipurpose watch. I went from a 7 y/o Garmin Instinct to the Fenix 7S Pro Sapphire Solar Edition. What made me take the leap was the multisport/adventure racing features and the solar component, in addition, it helped it was on sale for like 30% off:). I 've been an outdoor sports and racing person( water, mountains, adventure, IM, etc) for over 30 years. In addition to professional coaching for over 25 yrs. I like things simple, so I stuck with my Instinct until the lure of the Fenix could not be denied. It has been the best decision, the number of features that you can actually use are amazing. It is not a hard watch to learn, you just need to take the time to look into each sub and sub sub and sub sub sub category but again, it gives you a lot of insights of data that you can actually use.

I bought this watch couple weeks ago upgrading from a Fenix 6X pro sapphire. I was a little bit concerned about it being too bright at night and the battery life due to The AMOLED screen, but after a few weeks of wearing it, all my concerns are gone. Though the battery life is Shorter, I still get about six days from a full charge. The screen is amazing and so much placing into the eye. My original thought was to get the 8 but for the price difference, I decided to go with this one. Honestly, I could not justify the price difference and this has all the features that I need as I am not a diver… I use it for tracking HRV, heart rate, VO2 Max, sleep and performance mainly in running, swimming and biking byt do other sports… Garmin always knocks it out of the park for me.

This is my third Garmin watch and probably my eighth Garmin product, I purchased it to replace a fenix 5 that had finally died. Definitely an upgrade, tons of new features and apps in a familiar and user friendly design. There are a bunch of YouTube videos out there that give in depth overviews and compare the fenix 7X to other watches in Garmins lineup, I would encourage anyone interested to watch them. Even if the Fenix 7X pro is n't what you are looking for, Garmin probably makes a watch that is.

[ Extremely useful for such a minimalist design with a robust battery life. Lightweight, low profile yet it has an incredible battery life with pinpoint GNSS accuracy delivered by a chipset that supports dual band satellite fixes. The Coros app by far is the best making route building and reviewing post work metrics easier than ever. Additionally, app doubles as either an interactive topo map during activities like hiking or trail running, but on indoor activities like spinning or treadmill running the app becomes real - time stat screen that is customizable by the user. The generation of Coros watches: Pace 3 and Pace Pro really deliver substantive features that are insightful to improving and refrains from producing questionable gimmicks like “ wellness ” metrics that have never been validated by a third party or university researchers. Plus Coros( and Apple) are probably the only company( ies) that are delivering routine updates& upgrades to their previous gen devices so you are not constantly compelled to buy the latest generation. Plus Coros releases model of a series every 3 years.

While I 've only had three opportunities to fish with this locator since I 've purchased it, it seems to perform very well. I particularly like the clarity of the screens and the split screen option. The clarity on the flasher screen is so much better than a traditional flasher unit. It does have great separation capabilities. The lure charge function is really handy. Especially after my buddy dropped his lure charging flash light down the hole! I also like the automatic transducer angle selection of the unit. I must admit I would like an even wider transducer angle for shallow water applications. I do still have much to learn about this product. To that end, I do wish a detailed operations manual was included. I am looking forward to discovering its full capabilities and applications. So far this product meets my expectations( which are high) for a Humminbird product.

Stones in my shoes
There is no doubt that the edge 840 is feature packed but it is unnecessarily complicated to set up and too prescriptive in terms of defaulting to workouts and performance rather than having those as a choice. Yes there are useful features but basic data should be there out of the box with anything else a matter of choice.

The watch is so packed with features it is diffuse to know if I am fully utilizing it. This is my first Garmin and a multi year Apple Watch user. Solely battery capacity makes this watch superior. I have been wearing for 3 weeks. Haven ’ t really used the maps much, which was my primary reason for getting this model. Probably could have gone with the Instinct 2 or 3. Seems like functionality is the mostly the same, minus mapping. But again I am still learning the watch.

After 9 years of having Fitbit I switched over to Garmin and very happy I did it. The interface is so much better( I can actually read all my notifications), so many watch face options. I have my workout watch face, casual/chill face, and “ fancy ” face for dates and nice events. I kind of wish I could put those on a schedule( hint hint garmin). It has more algorithms( data insights). I love the microphone/speaker feature and also in LOVE with the battery life. It was definitely more expensive than my Fitbit charges which did make me nervous but I ’ m very happy with the purchase. The next test is longevity and checking out more apps with it. Hopefully I ’ ll get 3 or more years out of it!

I gifted this smart timepiece to myself after returning the purchase of GOOGLE Pixel 3 for defects unexpectedly. I never had a smartwatch, fit but or any type of tech watch because I always believed a `` watch is a watch '' lol... however, March 2025, GARMIN made me a believer. The easy set up, the advanced health and fitness tracking with a user - friendly design and long battery life. I appreciate its accurate heart rate tracking, particularly during strength training, and its ability to monitor various metrics like sleep stages and blood oxygen. The Venu 3 also offers a good balance of smartwatch features, including notifications, calls, and text messaging.

I have had two Fitbit smart watches and the sensors on the bottom fell off and they just did not have the features that the Garmin has. What an incredible smart watch and my spouse has an Apple smart watch and there is absolutely no comparison between the other two brands. This smart watch is awesome!

Got the Venu 3 a few weeks ago, then was hearing things about the vivoactive 6. Returned the venu 3 to get the vivoactive 6 since it was cheaper and they had very similar features, and did not like it. The battery on the vivoactive 6 wouldn ’ t last a full day and some of the features were missing on the actual watch. Ended up returning that and getting the venu 3 again, I love it so much literally has everything you need in a watch when it comes to everyday wear plus fitness& health tracking and battery life is amazing compared to my Apple watch. I have a small wrist but chose the venu 3 instead of 3s, it fits perfectly and I love the bigger watch face.

I ’ ve used the Garmin Epyx 2nd Gen for two years, and when mine had an issue, Garmin replaced it — no questions asked. But more importantly, this watch isn ’ t just smart — it ’s built for real - life survival. Unlike the Apple Watch, which dies after a day or so, the Epyx 2 Gen lasts 16 days — with GPS on. That alone puts it in a class of its own. If you ever get lost, your phone and tablet will die fast — but this watch keeps going. That ’s more than convenience — that ’s a lifeline. It ’s got everything you 'd expect from a high - end smartwatch — heart rate, altimeter, compass, sunrise/sunset times, text and call notifications( answerable via earbuds), and yes, music control. But these features aren ’ t what makes it special. What makes it special is that it ’s reliable. It doesn ’ t quit when you need it the most. This isn ’ t a toy or a fashion piece. It ’s a serious tool for people who live active, unpredictable lives. The Epyx 2 isn ’ t just another watch. It ’s peace of mind — on your wrist.

I 've only had this watch for a few weeks, so I have n't had a chance to really test it, but so far, I am very pleased with it. I plan to use this watch to record bicycle trips instead of my older Edge 820. The Epix has profiles for a number of different activities. My main interests are walking/hiking, kayaking, and cycling. My older Garmin Vivoactive 4 did not have a specific kayaking activity; I found this mildly annoying. Now I do n't have this problem since the Epix has a specific kayaking activity.

My 1030 plus decided took on water on a wet ride and had to be replaced. I got the Edge 1040 thinking it would be very similar and did not expect much difference. I was pleasantly surprised at the improvements in the unit. First thing I noticed were the icons on the data screens that make it easier to find things like elevation, grade, gears, and next turn direction( see first two screen shots). Probably the best improvement is in the Climb Pro screen( screen shot 3). Climbs are automatically detected based on the road you are riding( previously climbs just showed up on preloaded routes). The climb pro screen now shows you the map along with the graph. Includes the grade you are currently at and remaining distance, grade and altitude gain left in the climb. Nice feature! I like how the meter pairs with Di2 shifters as seen on the last screen shot.

I 've had my Garmin Egde 1040 for awhile now. I love the touch features. It has great battery life, it connects easily to all my sensors and uploads quickly to Garmin Connect and all my other apps. The screen is also the perfect size for viewing a map.

Does everything it says, big updraft of features compared to prior computer.

I upgraded from an older Edge 830, which is still great computer, but needed something easier to read when out riding with my daughter. We just moved to Tennessee and am completely unfamiliar with the trail system here and rely on the maps to keep us from getting lost. It has way more matrix built in than needed, but felt in the long run of things, would be the right choice. Yes, it was expensive than I wanted to spend, but so far am happy with the choice.

I bought the 1040 a few weeks ago when my 1030 finally gave out after 5. 5 years of almost daily use. Sure the 1030 had its share of glitches. It would sometimes seize and stop recording during rides, requiring a reboot each time. I had to leave it on the charger all night, every night, otherwise it would randomly turn itself on and discharge the battery by morning. But when it worked I was happy with it so I decided to stay with Garmin where I ’ ve been for many years with multiple devices. So far the 1040 has been great. The display and touchscreen are noticeably improved. I ’ m still discovering some of the functionality changes and how to operate them. However, I primarily use the basics and this 1040 is excelling with that. I ’ ve always been impressed with Garmin batteries on all my devices. And since this new 1040 stays off at night as it should, I can get at least three or four rides in on one charge. Looks like I ’ ll be saving on my electricity bill! The on/off button is more responsive and the device powers up quickly. I like that the device shuts itself off shortly after I download a ride to Connect. If I want to go back into the 1040 it ’s no big deal because it powers right up. Another noticeable difference from my 1030 is that rides download so much faster to the Connect app. I don ’ t need a bunch of bells and whistles, although the 1040 has plenty. I simply want my bike computers to work. So far this 1040 is doing just that.

Great watch with a great battery life. Seems to be accurate with distance tracking. Good for hiking, running, hunting, or even tracking your sleep. Just a good all around. Have yet to dislike a Garmin product.

I bought this watch as an upgrade from a Vivioactive 3. I was a little intimidated by all of the features, but after a few days of working with it, I fell in love with it. I like the `` good morning '' feature which gives me notes about my sleep and other data. It's light and not huge like the Fenix watches, which is important to me. It gives me all of the data I could ever want or need. The display is bright and very readable. If you are an avid 5k, 10k Saturday jogger who likes to listen to music while they exercise, this watch is for you

I bought the Garmin forerunner 165 music because of my frustration with the major “ fruit ” brand I ’ ve been wearing having terrible battery life! I couldn ’ t even get through my last marathon with it!! So frustrating! Once I made the switch to my Garmin forerunner 165 music I have gone a week in between charging and that ’s running while listening to music! Since switching I ’ ve also came to really like the other features as well. Like sleep scores and others.

Went with the deeper instead of other fish finders because it is so easy to use for kayak and shore fishing. It is lightweight and portable. I do n't need to run wires or add another screen. Awesome motor!
This is the 2nd force motor I ’ ve owned and I think this latest one( bought in 2024) has an even quieter steering motor than the 1st( bought in 2020). It ’s also such an improvement over a competitor ’s auto stow/deploy motor whose spot lock would ‘ give up ’ occasionally after trying to continuously over correct the steering in one direction and getting wrapped up in its power cabling, instead of turning the motor back 360 degrees in the opposite direction to correct itself. The Force never loses itself with gps lock, especially when swimming away from the boat with a decent wind that pushes the boat away from you when you thought the motor was holding the boat! It ’s also much more powerful than this auto stow/deploy motor I had, by a good 20% I estimate. Overall a great motor! Only complaint is I wish the livescope cabling could be ‘ built - in ’ to the motor shaft.

I purchased this locator in May of this year. It was easy to install and worked out of the box. I installed a cut off switch between the battery cable and the positive line to make sure the GPS was not drawing power when not in use. This is the first Lowrance unit I owned that I did n't have to constantly make adjustments to get good readings. I can turn it on and concentrate on catching fish.

We started out pretty slow. Darn thing was in store demo mode. Could n't get it out of this mode. Your single page instructions were n't very thorough as to dealing with this situation, and several other necessary tactics to operate this thing. Went to the net, to Lowrance academy. com. That website covers most everything to do with this model locater. With the websites help I figured quite a bit more on how to use this machine... Now to use this locater and chart is a real pleasure. All the charts are so detailed. The adjustments are pretty simple.( now) Looking forward to using it up on our Canadian trips.... FRED

This review is for the Hook reveal 5 splitshot with Inland maps. I love this unit so far! I just used it to fish for jumbo perch on open water. If you forgot to tap the club you can edit after the fact on the app. I haven ’ t quite figured out the pin location setting on course but that is also editable after the round. Overall a great value.
