I was playing mizuno blades for 20 years and switched to these last year and am amazed at the feel, dispersion and length. Great job ping!! Love these irons.

5 Bodacious
Went and had a custom fitting at 2nd Swing in Minnetonka three weeks ago. These irons were not even on my radar, Drew Bosely, my fitter put these in my hand after swinging the G430 and i530 irons. The trackman confirmed what I felt and saw, the dispersion and accuracy was phenomenal. Played my 1st round with them yesterday and they are as advertised, was pin high with all of my shots at the greens and their stopping power is amazing. If you are in the market for new sticks, try these out and wo n't be disappointed. I 'm a bogey golfer and have no doubt this will help me bring my average score down to the low to mid 80s.

5 Bill from NC
8 HCP with iron play being a strength of my game. Paired with Nippon Modus3 Tour 120 S. A quick shoutout to Wilson ’s custom shop for doing such a nice job, and with so many options. As for the clubs, feel is fantastic and control is on par with other top current CBs such as ZXi7. Good strikes will be met with a solid and satisfying thud, and the ball feels fast of the face, but not uncontrolled. Easy to launch and easy to spin. Forgiveness is shockingly good. Assuming you ’ re not hitting it off the hosel or ungrooved toe, and are somewhere between the 2nd and 6- 7th grooves, you can expect distance to be within ~5 yards of your ideal strike even on the most egregious of misses( as defined for a reasonably competent player). Turf interaction is comfortable and predictable. Overall, a real nice club and one that I anticipate I ’ ll have in my bag for a while.

I bought the 5- UW set this year, moving away from a set of Callaways( which I loved). What made me switch was the design, feel, and performance of the irons. The ball jumped off the face and felt very solid at contact. I noticed a slight increase in distance, and they felt a little more forgiving. I opted for the stiff graphite shaft to accommodate my higher swing speed. Definitely recommend the G730s.

Having aged a bit since I purchased my last set of clubs, I decided it was time to make a change. I recently experienced a rental set of TaylorMade irons and was very pleased with the results. I decided to reach out to TaylorMade, via chat on their website to discuss which model would best fit my game, and they suggested the QI irons. This was definitely a good decision! I am hitting my new QI irons straighter, which of course is resulting in longer more accurate shots. It has gained me a renewed confidence in my game and I 'm very happy that I have made the decision to upgrade to these irons.

The XB irons provide an excellent transition for players seeking to move beyond traditional players' irons, as the distance differences compared to my Cobra King Tour irons are not extreme. Additionally, I appreciate that Wilson designed these irons to be easily integrated into a combo set with the CBs and blades. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

My friends were impressed and will probably purchase these irons themselves. The sweet sound and high lofts were I was able to see them at work. I highly recommend them.

5 LWSS
I played Mizuno 921 Forged for two years and loved their feel and workability. But as I have aged, my game has slipped and I wasn ’ t catching that smaller sweet spot from 160 in. Switched to the G430s with regular Alta shafts and Shazam the iron game is back. It took some trial and error with the PW through 58 but the yardage results are tight and satisfying.

I tried the paradigm smoke irons and I just could not hit them consistently. So I traded them in, which is a fantastic feature of Callaway, on the new Apex I 300. Oh my goodness, what a tremendous upgrade this was for me. These forged irons in a game improvement iron are indescribable perfect in every respect. They are long, and most of all they are incredibly accurate. I applaud the efforts of Callaway to find an iron suitable for my swing. They can do the same for you. Love my new Apex irons!!!!

5 Doc74
Just ordered the Ai300 irons with LA 45 shafts. The ball speed, height, forgiveness, spin, and distance were incredible. I also tested the Ai200 irons which were close but not as good for me as the Ai300. The feel was also awesome. I am a senior player with physical limitations and slow swing speed but they really worked for me. I have tried all the other major brands this year and the Ai300s worked best.

5 Trey
These clubs are so good! I ’ m a 12 handicap and shoot anywhere from 84- 90 depending on course. First time using these I shot a 79 and I give all credit to the clubs. I thinned so many shots but they still launched!

5 JayDV
There have been 3 game changing irons in my golfing journey. Ping Eye2s, the 1994 Callaway Big Berthas and now the Callaway AI300s. Perfect amount of offset and topline that breeds confidence. You 're not going to work the ball from left to right( for righties) but you can flight the balk.. even for us amateurs. What really sets this set from others is the superior weighting and feel. My set is 2° up and a half inch over standard length. Distance and launch angles were perfect. Traded in T350s for the set.

5 2011blaster
I got fitted for these back in May after recovering from a back injury. I was n't hitting my Mizuno 223 as well after the injury, needed something easier to hit at a slower swing speed. Over a couple of months I 've found the Elyte X are just friendly clubs to hit. Using Denali graphite shafts, and the feel is surprisingly good for a hollow club. Despite the strong lofts, they launch nicely and hold greens well which is what surprises me the most. My only complaints are that they are chunky behind the ball, but that may be reassuring to a higher handicapper. Genuinely happy with these clubs! I 'm itching to go back to Mizuno, but not because these are

5 Kristian19
Purchased this 5i to go with the 6- AW set I bought. These irons are great and forgiving. Was able to order it customized with the grips I use.

5 cal63
I typically do n't leave reviews, so if I 'm doing this then it must be for something special. I 'm a senior, 63 yo with a pretty good game still- 7- iron is about 145- 150 and driver is around 225. I 've had a hard time finding clubs that fit me- either the regular flex is a tad to heavy, or the senior flex is just not right due to either the flex or weight, and sometime I feel the larger heads do n't suit my game, but on the other hand I want all the help and forgiveness I can get. I want my irons to go far, travel straight, be lightweight, comfortable and easy to swing, and I want them to be consistent. Good looking is nice, but performance is the most important thing to me, I 'll sacrifice pretty much anything as long as the clubs do what I want them to. Not to imply these are not good looking- I think they look great, but better yet the performance is off the charts for me. I have the 55g Denali 5. 0 light flex shafts and they 're absolutely perfect for me. I can really swing these pretty hard and go after the ball with no worries, but they do n't feel too stiff either( unlike the Aldila Ascent 50g senior flex shafts which are like boards!) When you make pure contact there's like a `` crunch '' and then you feel the ball compress and look up in admiration and wonder `` did I just hit that? '' These things go really high, and really far. I 've had turf interaction trouble in the past with larger oversized heads on SGI irons, but not so with the Elyte X irons- in fact for the first time ever I feel I can really hit down on the ball without fear of digging or hitting it fat, the ball just gets up. I 'm usually a picker of the ball, but not so with these- hit down and it will go up! I 'm loving these clubs a lot- most actual game improving set I 've ever bought- they are really making a significant difference in my game and it's a lot more fun!

5 Jimmy jam
I bought these clubs a few weeks ago! Had Callaway paradym x irons! They are a at least a club and a half longer! Hitting my irons high and pure! Installed a graphite light weight shaft and as a senior golfer, I really appreciate they extra distance!

5 BirdHunter22
Absolutely incredible set of irons! When it comes to golf clubs I ’ m definitely a major gear head lol and this may be the perfect set of game improvement irons and that ’s not something I say lightly. Looks: this is a subjective category but you ’ d be very hard pressed to find a cleaner looking set of game improvement irons. Titleist really nailed the entire T series line this year with a uniform design throughout all the models. Just a clean looking iron that is the perfect shape. Moderate top line and sole thickness and not a huge clunky head that looks like a toaster on a stick. Moderate offset that is definitely playable. I was a little worried seeing these irons online in reviews but I guess the camera really does add 10 lbs lol. These irons look great! Performance: As forgiving as any GI set out there and I ’ ve tried them all 925 Hot Metals, G440s, Elyte, etc. Great trajectory and the proper shaft will make them really perform even better when matched to your swing. I got them with the Nippon 750GH Neo in stiff flex and I get great feel, height and stopping power. These irons are so forgiving I put the 5 iron back in my bag. Sound/Feel: This is another subjective category and each person will like different things. It seems a lot of online reviews have this set as not have the softest feel. Something I ’ ve found in all hollow body designs is that the ball you play can greatly affect this metric. If you pair this with a left dash or pinnacle lol you will definitely get a less than soft sound off the face. However if you use a tour soft, super soft etc it will be great. This is something you have to figure out for yourself and not listen to the online reviews. Price: Yes, they are definitely on the high side, there is no doubt about that but I truly believe you will have this set for years so that will even out over time. I decided to pull the trigger on these after testing a lot of irons. I was very close to getting the Mizuno JPX 925 Hot Metals but I just could not get over the looks( personal preference) even though they performed and sounded great as well. Just a bit too clunky and the cavity back design was just not great. As always you have to find what works best for you. This is just my 2 cents.

Bought these irons back in May of 2025 and let me tell you what…. These are the best irons I have ever played with. I had the same set of Titleist irons given to me from the Pro Tour instructor back in 2012 and the difference between those club and these new Taylormade ’s is unreal. I gained about 10- 15 yards per club. Love the blade style look and how light they are and the flush hozzle with the club head is a go to for me. Highly recommend these clubs if you have been playing for some time and have a lower handicap!

5 Dave Woolley

5 D.Hamby
These irons are incredible. They feel so nice when you stroke em pure. They have an okay amount of workability and they are fairly forgiving, I ’ ve had the 2023 P790, and this years P790s. I ’ m not a super low handicap. I score mid 80s consistently. But still very capable of a really bad round( high 90). With that being said I hit these 770s so much better than the “ bigger more forgiving 790s ”. With that being said, if you ’ re in between the two, go with these. You ’ ll learn to hit em, they give great feedback, and you will honestly become a better ball striker through trial and error.

These clubs are set up where I am hitting my irons the distances I did 20 years ago. Lower loft helps but I have confidence in every strike. Game changer for me.

These Irons are a cheat code for straighter ball flight and trajectory control. I historically hit the ball really high and was inconsistently making contact and blocking the ball right. With these Irons I take dead aim and the ball lands where I want it to. Adapting to the added length and aiming at the target vs “ playing ” my miss is going great and I have a ton of confidence when I set up over the ball!

Frequently Asked Questions For Individual Irons

Individual irons are single golf clubs designed for specific distances and shot types, allowing players to customize their bag according to their preferences. Unlike iron sets, which typically include multiple clubs ranging from short to long irons, individual irons can be selected based on a golfer's unique playing style and needs. This flexibility can enhance performance on the course by providing tailored options for various situations.

Individual irons are often made from a variety of materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and sometimes even advanced composites. Stainless steel is popular for its durability and resistance to rust, while carbon steel is favored for its softer feel and workability. The choice of material can significantly affect the club's performance, feel, and overall playability.

Selecting the right individual iron involves considering your skill level, swing speed, and playing style. Beginners may benefit from more forgiving designs that offer greater distance and accuracy, while advanced players might prefer clubs that allow for more control and shot shaping. It's also helpful to test different models to find the one that feels best in your hands.

Comfort and feel in individual irons are influenced by factors such as grip size, shaft flex, and clubhead design. A proper grip size ensures better control, while the right shaft flex can enhance swing dynamics. Additionally, the design of the clubhead can affect how the club interacts with the ball and turf, impacting overall comfort during play.

Yes, individual irons can be used in various weather conditions, but performance may vary based on the materials and design features. For example, clubs with a more forgiving face may perform better in wet conditions, while those designed for precision might excel in dry weather. It's important to consider how different conditions can affect your game and choose irons that suit your typical playing environment.

Using individual irons allows golfers to select clubs that are optimized for specific shots, enhancing accuracy and control. For example, a player might choose a shorter iron for approach shots to the green or a longer iron for tee shots on par 3s. This targeted approach can lead to improved performance and lower scores by ensuring that the right tool is used for each situation on the course.
