Bought it for the man of the house who does weekender hikes with family in summer it has great amount of pockets to store all his chargers and stuff. When it ’s fully packed it ’s not too heavy. And is a great starter pack.

Mack’s Dad
This is a great pack, very light and versatile. Comes with a nice rain cover that packs easily into the front pocket. The gray color is very cool and keeps the contents of the pack cool on hot sunny trails. I really liked the main front zipper to access what I needed quickly from the pack.

This is such a cool camping/hiking backpack, it has more pockets than I 'd know what to do with. There is a little pocket at the bottom that holds a waterproof cover. It can be easily folded back up to fit inside. There are sturdy metal rods, with a heavy duty mesh piece on the back. It will definitely hold up when hiking. I like that the main compartment can unzip to fit a sleeping bag or other bulky items. I have n't used it yet for hiking but it will be great for our next camping trip!

The bag is adequately sized for all hikes and most short camping trips. Despite its relatively small size, it boasts a number of impressive features. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. Some other useful features are the emergency whistle on the chest strap, the included strap management bungees( so those leftover strap ends after adjustment are n't hanging everywhere), and the water bottle pockets on the sides. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5. Met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody who is a frequent camper or hiker.

Excellent travel backpack for a weekend or as a supplemental bag to a roller. Comfortable when wearing and super useful holding straps for when held to the side or on other bag. The pocket configuration is great and there is no wasted space. Some other bags( Aer SF) have more pockets but filling one pocket takes up space in another, this is not the case with the Base Camp Travel Pack

I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

[ This is a cool backpack. I like the slash resistant bottom for thwarting would- be thrives. The green interior helps when searching for stuff inside. Lots of pockets, sturdy zippers, solid straps. I would rather a metal ring where the backpack starps clip to instead of the canvas loop, but hey, so far it's holding. I may just throw my own on there... This does n't have to be a ladies only bag. Mine works as a backpack and a messenger bag. I can put all sorts of stuff in it, though I typically keep my glasses, Chromebook, wallet, keys, phone, and associated tech stuff in it. Anyway, who really cares. It works well.

Cables, mouse, gaming controller for the laptop in the front main compartment along with space for a notebook. The 2 smaller front pockets, the one on top fits a back up battery and charger for my phone. and the bottom front pocket fits my thermometer, screwdriver, food thermometer, 3 pens, permanent marker, wallet with the small mesh pocket for a small ibuprofen and some other meds i might need. needless to say, i am ready for anything at any time, weather im going to work for the day. or a weekend business trip. Traveler 1167
[ Bought this for a trip, needing something large for a longer stay( a few months). I thought I might pack a larger one enough to be over weight. Nope. This one is nice- the material is a good heavy fabric, and shows some stains when tossed around by luggage handlers, but no tears or other damage. The frame and wheels are solid- they roll really nicely. The handle is fairly sturdy- no extra play where there should not be any. The button is no longer there to release the handle, it ’s a bowed piece of plastic, so squeezing it to deploy the handle is a little more difficult. It ’s nice that it won ’ t come open unintentionally, but it may be a bit difficult to deploy the handle if you have grip issues( arthritis, as an example). Reviews that mention it can tip over if packed with heavy stuff near the top are correct- make sure to pack heavier things near the wheels. Internal organization is good- the two long side pockets and a few zippered pouches in the cover. There is not a separate organization pocket like on the backpack only version, which is fine. Carrying like a backpack is decent enough for me- but it ’s really a rolling bag first, with the option for the straps. The little hidden strap to lash another bag to this one is a nice feature, or, use the handle since it extends far enough on the 60L to go through straps on another bag. The main zipper is a nice large YKK type, which I prefer to the smaller one that is on the 46L backpack version. Can stuff it full, and lash things down with the straps, or use the straps on the outside to temporarily lash something to the bag when wheeling it around. I like that the padded sides have enough protection without being a hard bag that might crack or split- definitely protects things inside the bag. Easy to spot on a luggage carousel, everyone seems to like those hard bags, so it stands out. There is no dedicated laptop sleeve area, or a second outside pocket on the lid( like the 46L non wheeled sojourn would have, as an example). Carry a padded sleeve and put it inside when you want to carry the bag around, or use a second bag for that. Overall- if you want a good roller bag that is a little smaller than the max checked luggage size, and need something a little larger than a carry on- this one is a solid choice.

Traveling S.
We are traveling to Europe next fall for several months. We ordered our new wheeled backpacks now because we wanted to try them out so that we know we made the right decision. We have recently retired, 60+, healthy and will be traveling to multiple locations via train, plane and foot. After multiple reviews of different companies, we both decided on different Osprey products. I chose the Osprey Sojourn 60L Wheeled travel backpack. My husband chose the Osprey Farpoint 65L Wheeled Backpack. We both like our wheeled backpacks for different reasons. Concerning the Sojourn, I love the adjustable straps, the density of the fabric, the zippers that have a loop for safety, the inside straps for compression, mesh pockets and how large it is. The only drawback is it weighs a little more than the Farpoint and does not have enough exterior pockets to throw additional items in such as small purchases, maps etc. You need to open the large interior zipper to do this. The Farpoint, is lighter to carry, has so many more exterior pockets for a simple insert of purchases, maps etc. We understand, this gives easier access, but there are options for locks to be added. The fabric is not as dense and heavy as the Sojourn and is lighter to carry. Filling up both bags is easy and hold about the same amount of items in the large interior space. The wheels on both products are different, but appear heavy duty. If you are looking for a durable rolling suitcase that has multiple straps in the interior of the suitcase with adjustable straps for backpacking, nice rolling wheels, large interior space, the Sojourn is the answer. If you are wanting to save$ but get a great bag with lots of accessible pockets, less weight to carry on your back and also has large interior space, the Farpoint is your answer. Prior to choosing which bag best suits your style of travel, go watch the video on any bag they have available. This made our options of what we both chose easier.

I often longboard around campus at my college, and one night, while I was riding back to my dorm room, I hit a pothole and fell off my board. I landed the backpack and slid on the asphalt for 8 to 10ft, after getting up, it looked like it barely took any damage, it also protected my laptop, which I keep in it as well. It is well made and durable, I have yet to run into an issue that I ca n't get over.

The quality of the materials and workmanship of the Thule Chasm laptop backpack 26L Golden is superb. The water repellent materials is an added value. The external water bottle sleeve is snug and flexible. The light blue interior color helps identify the contents. It is a very useful for EDC because of the thoughtful design of the different zippered compartments, sleeves, spacious interior organization and flexible partitions all secured inside. These can store different electronic accessories e. g. Anker charger and iPhone and Apple Watch charging cables. Most of all, the Thule Chasm laptop backpack is very comfortable to wear and conforms to my back.

My torso is 17 '' so I purchased the S/M size expecting it to be on the shortest setting. I found I needed to have it just under the longest setting to fit me correctly with the middle of the hip belt on my iliac crest. My torso is 17 '' so I purchased the S/M size expecting it to be on the shortest setting. I found I needed to have it just under the longest setting to fit me correctly with the middle of the hip belt on my iliac crest. I think you might be able to squeeze into this pack if your torso is 19 '' maximum. Easily the most comfortable pack I have tried on, very happy with my purchase.

This little pack has been the perfect travel companion. I like to 'carry on' travel as often as possible- even a two week long trip to the UK and Ireland. As I can never truly get away from work my second bag has to be my computer bag holding a substantial amount of work related items. As such its hard to repurpose as a day pack. For me this leaves out the option of a day pack once on the ground. Enter the In and Out. It truly packs down small and takes up little room in my computer bag and once at my destination becomes an extremely effective day pack for touring about, shopping, hiking and going to the beach. It also worked great as an on- slope pack when on a ski trip last winter. This has been a 'go- to' standard for my traveling kit. Highly recommended.

I bought this pack a little over a month ago to be a low profile pack that I can every day carry to work either in my truck where it sits in my passenger seat or when I take the train into work. It ’s great, well made, handsome and fits my yeti coffee cup in the side pocket perfectly and very securely. If the only thing it did was carry my coffee, I ’ d be happy, but it has pockets for my ever expanding gear that I carry and the pack shapes nicely with the small dry bag that I keep inside it. The quality of workmanship and design details are superb and even though it ’s a humble pack compared to the rest of Mystery Ranch ’s packs, it ’s a contender! I was super stoked that I got this pack just a few days after ordering it and I haven ’ t left home without it ever since. Brilliantly done Mystery Ranch! Oh yeah, I also use it as a stuff sack/organizer inside my MR Blitz 30 when out on a ruck in the Cascade Mountains.

just got back from a week of long hikes, bikes& climbs& I had one of these strapped on for all of it. I 've never had good experiences with packable day bags but I 'm glad I gave this one a shot because it was excellent! super comfortable all day& weighs basically nothing. Comfortable even with 2L of water& some gear! also of course it seems to be indestructible

Let me tell you, folks, they don ’ t want you to know about the Mystery Ranch In and Out 19. I ’ m talking government- level secrecy. I ’ m talking Roswell, Area 51, men- in- black- staring- at- you- from- the- corner- of- the- parking- lot levels of conspiracy. But guess what? I ’ ve got the truth right here, strapped to my back, and it ’s lightweight, packable, and potentially from another dimension. The Mystery Ranch In and Out 19 doesn ’ t just carry your gear—it carries the burden of knowledge that we ’ re not alone. This 19- liter wonder was clearly designed by extraterrestrials, likely reverse- engineered from UFO wreckage they found near a New Mexico desert. I mean, how else can you explain its otherworldly design and functionality? Exhibit A: The material is lightweight but suspiciously durable. It ’s almost like they blended carbon nanotubes with alien alloys, then wrapped it in something soft to the touch but strong enough to fend off intergalactic threats( or at least some thorny brush on a hike). No mere earthbound polymer could achieve this. I ’ ve seen classified files about “ advanced textiles, ” but nothing like this. Exhibit B: It packs into itself! Yeah, that ’s right. You ’ re telling me this thing can fold down smaller than my government- issued UFO tracker? Tell me that ’s normal. It ’s like it knows when I need it. One second it's a full- on hiking pack, the next it vanishes into thin air, tucked away in my glovebox like some sort of interdimensional artifact. It ’s compact, inconspicuous, and probably has a secret compartment to hold alien documents or, you know, snacks. Exhibit C: The breathability. Who thought of this? Who decided, “ Hey, let ’s make the straps so light that you barely feel them ”? It ’s like the pack was designed for those extra- terrestrial beings who travel faster than light and don ’ t need sweaty backs weighing them down during long- distance abductions. Forget NASA. This is the real space- age technology. Exhibit D: The 19 liters. Nineteen liters is exactly what you need to carry provisions for an extended alien stakeout. I checked the math. You could carry binoculars, a flask, some tinfoil hats, a radar detector, and still have room for an X- Files box set in there. It ’s almost like the designers knew what we ’ d be up to. Let ’s talk pockets. The stretchy side pocket—definitely designed for holding alien energy crystals, but they also fit a water bottle. Coincidence? I think not. And the zippered top pocket? Perfect size for your intergalactic passport or, you know, an energy bar if you ’ re on a terrestrial hike. I was on a “ recon mission ”( aka hiking in the woods, totally normal), and the pack just molded to me. No bouncing, no shifting. Almost like it was communicating with my back. Are we looking at advanced alien ergonomics? Almost definitely. Conclusion: The Mystery Ranch In and Out 19 backpack is the smoking gun of outdoor gear. Sure, it looks like just another backpack—that ’s what they want you to think. But for those in the know, it ’s a clear sign that they ’ re out there, sharing their technology with us, one ultralight, ultra- packable backpack at a time. In summary, if you 're looking for a pack that combines cutting- edge tech with probable alien origins, look no further. Just be careful. I ’ m pretty sure the moment I bought it, a black SUV started following me. Coincidence? I ’ ll let you decide.

My wife and I wanted something for an upcoming trip to Disney world to put our rain jackets, water and snacks in. This pack was perfect, it folds up small enough to put in our luggage and was comfortable enough to wear all day every day. There is plenty of storage for day trips. We got the blaze orange one so it was easier to find each other in the crowds of people. Also I will be using it on my upcoming scouting trips for hunting season! Perfect all around bag.

[ Just returned from the BWCA with my Aether 65. This is a nice pack that worked well for a 4 day self supported journey deep in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. Our trip included 5 portages with 3 having quite a bit of undulation. The pack was weighed down with 44lbs of gear and was comfortable( as much as 44lbs of gear can be, definitely dropping some weight on the next trip). I liked it because I typically start trips like this fresh and strong and have my pack set up to that posture with quick( on the fly) adjustments being made as I ’ m flagging from hiking and paddling for hours. Nice pack that is well thought out with all the features you need and none that are useless. Both of my sons were wearing the same pack with zero complaints. Nice product that ’s worth the investment.

I 've had this pack since 2006. It's been on many adventures with me, from backpacking in Canyonlands to training hikes in Teluride to travel through Taiwan. For several years, I used this bag for grocery shopping and going to the laundry mat, when it was often 70 pounds. It's so comfortable that even fully loaded, I can easily dance while wearing it. This pack has survived bear attacks, rain storms, deserts, baggage handlers, and having its capacity tested endlessly. After 15 years, I 've noticed the first sign of wear- a small tear in a seam. I 'm happy with the longevity of the product, and I 'm heartened that I can send it to Osprey for a professional- level repair for just the cost of one- way shipping. The All Mighty Guarantee is one reason I 'm so loyal to Osprey- they did a fantastic job repairing bear damage, and they quickly sent me a set of replacement buckles after I damaged one of mine. I love how comfortable the hip belt and harness are, partly thanks to the high degree of adjustability. If it every gets lost or stolen, I will happily buy the same bag. I barely notice my bag while I 'm hiking, meanwhile my hiking buddies complain about how uncomfortable their similarly priced non- Osprey packs are, or say how happy they are to get them off. I do n't mind how the weight gets divided on group trips, because I know my pack can handle adding on the tent, carrying more than my share of food, and having a few liters of extra water. If you 're looking for a comfortable bag that you can use in a range of circumstances for decades to come, look no further than the Osprey Ariel.

[ I ’ ve had this new backpack for a little over a month now and I ’ m really enjoying it. From a work standpoint, there ’s a cushioned area for my laptop, iPad& other work files in the main pocket. In the secondary pocket that is sealed with Velcro, I carry all of my laptop cords and other miscellaneous supplies. I ’ m surprised how well the Velcro seals and nothing falls out. The side zipper allows me quick access to whatever I need. On top there is a small zipper pocket for my pens, pencils, and a calculator. There is also a water bottle holder on each side. But what I like most about this bag is the blaze orange interior, which helps me to see items that get buried in the bottom of the bag that would normally be difficult to see if it was lined in black. This is ingenious as I ’ ve never had a backpack with this coloration on the interior. I thought it would be annoying, but it is very helpful. I ’ m new to mystery ranch, but I am now hooked on their products! I have a new hunting backpack that I recently purchased, and it is outstanding! When fully packed with all my work stuff, it weighs approximately 12 pounds and with the adjustable shoulder& chest straps fits& carries well. I ’ m very satisfied with the purchase of his backpack and it is well- made, so I expect it to last me years.

The sleek, minimalist design is perfect for everyday use, whether I 'm commuting to work or hitting the trails on the weekend. The backpack is incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for all my essentials and more. The various pockets and compartments make it easy to organize everything, from my laptop and chargers to my water bottle and snacks. I also appreciate the zippered front pocket, which provides quick access to smaller items like my keys and phone. One of the standout features of this backpack is its comfort. The padded shoulder straps and back panel make it easy to carry, even when it's fully loaded. The adjustable sternum strap and waist belt also help distribute the weight evenly, which is especially important when I 'm hiking or traveling. The quality of the materials and construction is evident from the moment you take it out of the box. The tough 500D nylon fabric is durable and water- resistant, and the YKK zippers are smooth and reliable. I feel confident that this backpack will last me for years to come. Overall, I highly recommend the Mystery Ranch District 24L backpack to anyone in the market for a versatile, high- quality backpack. It's the perfect blend of style and functionality, and it's sure to become your go- to pack for all your adventures.

Love the bag! Perfect size and so many pockets! I really like that it has a place for my laptop, and multiple front pockets. At first I was worried it may be too small, but with so many pockets and two water bottle holders, it's small but mighty!

As a smaller sized gal, I 've struggled with daypacks feeling too big and bulky. The 18L was my goldilocks and is such a great size for a casual hike or wandering around town! There are not a lot of pockets, but I actually prefer a simple pack. My favorite part of the pack is the chest and hip straps that make the bag easily adjustable.

This pack is the perfect trail companion! I 've gotten to take it out both XC skiing and on some winter hikes and it's the perfect size for an extra layer, snacks, first aid kit, and any other gear you might need on the trail. I love the magnet strip on the water bladder that nicely holds the bladder straw in space when not using it, and easy to drink out of while on the trail. The pockets are well thought out and easily accessible. I do wish the side water bottle pockets were a little larger to fit my nalgene, but definitely not a dealbreaker since it has the integrated bladder.

[ I purchased this after having a bad experience with a different pack of a different brand. I am 5 ’ 5 ” and weigh about 116 pounds. I am a bit short waisted too and I thought the pack fit my frame perfectly. No weird rubbing on my lower back after a 31 mile backpacking trip. Lots of space and convenient pockets. Super functional and can ’ t recommend enough!

I love osprey products and unfortunately found that most of their products do not fit XS torsos. However. The EJA is the exception. It fits through the shoulders and leaves plenty of room for tightening the hip belt. It ’s like wearing a hug. I did 3 10+mile days with this pack( 48l) and it was just the right size for my and my dog ’s needs. The ONLY complaint I have is that the shoulder padding could use reinforcements. I found the material shredding my shirt and leaving friction burns on my collarbones after day 2. I ended up shoving my extra sun shirt under the straps to widen the coverage on my shoulders. I could probably wear thicker shirts for winter trips, but summertime screams for tank tops and breathable materials that just didn ’ t do enough for comfort on that long of a trip. I will be using this pack again, but definitely looking into mods for the shoulder strap padding

[ This pack meets almost all my expectations and hopes! I love the suspension system the most. My pack feels like a hug! I appreciate the choice of removing the “ brain ” to save weight. The hip belt is comfortable. My only issue is with the shoulder straps. Over many hours on the trail, I notice that the straps do not sit completely comfortably around the front of my shoulders. That said, this is still my favorite pack out there!

[ I like this pack a lot- out of the packaging I feel like it was really stiff and side pockets were almost unusable but after a week of using could easily get water bottles in and out without taking pack off. Hip belt pockets are a nice size but definitely a design flaw with the zipper and they are a pain to open and close. Overall super comfy pack and durable.
