I have a miniscus tear and I did research on the Shock Doctor 872 knee brace. It gives maximum support and the comfort level was what sold me on buying it. Way better then the standard issue braces that the doctor gives you. The fit is also what made this brace a winner. It's Contoured for your leg with the wider end for your thigh and the smaller end for you knee and calf. The velcro straps made it stay up and not move. The knee cap hole let's you verify it has n't slipped. Since it's a dual hinge you do n't even notice that the hinge is there because it moves so easily with the two pivot points. I was a little worried this would feel strange because of the stiffness, and while it was a bit odd aty first, it seemed to disappear after a few minutes. The support it gives is incredible and the freedom of movement you retain because your knee is still free and out in the open makes it a far superior product to any sleeve I 've ever tried. I did a 20 mile run after the first application and felt zero pain and basically forgot I had it on. The adhesive is great as well, EXCELLENT product- I will definitely be purchasing this one again. My only critique is that it's a bit pricey for only 4 applications, but for what you get, I think it's worth it.
