Rubber netting doesn ’ t allow hooks to get buried in it like nylon. It extends to get those fish all the way at the back of the boat. It floats, so even if it falls in the water, you can get it back. I would not try that with a fish in the net though. My only complaint was shipping... way too long with UPS ground. This should solve my problem of the tangles that occurred with the flies getting hung up and should be better on the release of the fish as well. [ My kids and I love to fish. We prefer a collapsible net, and have tried several. Most are flimsey, or hard to open/close. We had one that would sometimes collapse when you tried to land the fish. This is the best one we 've ever tried. When it unfolds and locks open, it has a very solid feel and latch- no way that is accidently coming undone. And then, with a quick twist of the friction fit handle, it will slide in to reduce length, or slide back out to extend to its full length. So cool. We 've landed 10+ pound catfish in this with no problem. If we lost it, I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Bought this reel for a black Friday event in 2018 and have used this reel on an ugly stick catfish rod and I 'm very impressed with it. The only things I had to do is break the reel down and re- oil it and change the line on the reel but I always re- oil my reels before using for the 1st time. I highly recommend this reel for the price. I restrung this reel with 65 lb braid and it's held up great but always back it with good mono line.

After using this a few times, I pulled the magnet out of the water and the screw that holds the magnet came off and the magnet fell completely off. Luckily it didn ’ t have whole in the water. I used a silicone glue and tightened the screw back on. Hopefully this holds.

Bought the lure to augment an offshore trolling spread consisting of surface and near- surface lines. Fished the plug on 20- pound trolling outfit, with 12- foot 150- pound mono leader, run about 100 feet down the middle. The plug pulls hard when trolled at 7 to 8 knots, but digs down and swims well, even at that speed-- although anglers should be warned that at that speed, a 20 is about as light as you can go, as the lure will take line off the reel if anything less than 7 pounds of drag is used. Primary target for the lure was dolphin( mahi- mahi), which hit it well when not showing on the surface; the plug drew a strike from my largest mahi of the 2018 season.
