I bought this jacket a month ago after trying it on at a Fjallraven store. The jacket runs a little large as I almost could fit into a small at 190 lbs and 6ft. I settled with a medium and it fits very nicely, not too tight across the shoulders and back as many jackets are. I use this jacket fishing and hiking in the back country of Vermont. Even the g1000 light is tough enough to push through thick woods without being fazed by sharp branches. This is the jacket I have been looking for, good looking and functional, tough material, waterproof( add more wax for heavy rain) and not too heavy. Bought in the dark olive color, very nice and could serve well as a hunting jacket in some situations. Hood is large and has good structure but can also be sinched down in two directions. I will definately be buying from Fjallraven again.

This jacket has become my favorite jacket for everyday wear. It 's stylish enough for daily use, but the fabric is tough enough to hold up in the bush without punctures or tears. I 've also gotten it pretty dirty with dust and mud, and it has cleaned easily. I was expecting to use the jacket in milder temps, but I 've discovered that with a baselayer and a sweater underneath( and a nice coat of Greenland wax on the jacket) it performs very well on the coldest Michigan mornings. When using it in milder temps, each of the pockets is vented all the way through the jacket, so you can simply open up each pocket to allow airflow. 5'11, 175#- purchased a medium in the dark gray. Perfect fit for me( not baggy, but not restrictive), though the arms are a bit long.

I have lots of mountain gear, but unless it 's howling and I need a hardshell, I always reach for this jacket. It has now been most of the way around the world with me. Whether I 'm doing multi- day treks or exploring new cities, it 's great at everything. The cut is perfect. I 'm English but perhaps I have a Swedish body. I have finally found a jacket with perfect length sleeves! The articulation is great, it has a decent hood that does n't get in the way, and there is a thoughtful layout to the pockets. I have also introduced two of my friends to Fjallraven jackets, and they adore them. As long as Fjallraven keeps this cut/sleeve length, they have a faithful customer for life right here.

This is a great item. It 's warm, and a little heavier than a normal fleece, so it has some wind- stopping ability. However, I 'm a taller person( 6' 5 ''), and although the sleeves were a perfect length, the torso was too short. I had to return the jacket, and was extremely bummed that there was n't a XXL available for exchange.

I love the Buck Fleece. I got it in the Fall in the Laurel Green color and wore it all throughout the winter. One of my favorite features about it is the collar. It never loses its structure. It 's a warm, cozy sweater but the collar, leather details of the logo and zipper, and the chest pocket all give it a nice look. It 's great as a layering piece if you 're going to be in cold temps or as an outer layer if you 're in moderate temps. I 'm a 5' 5 '', 110 lb woman and I got the size XS. This jacket is an addition to the three other various Carhartts that I have hanging in my coat closet. I was needing something on the lighter side this time for doing some e- bike trail riding around metro Detroit and also something to match the camo paint scheme on my fat tire. This jacket 's Moss color turned out being about as close to U. S. Army `` mean green '' as you could hope to get and I also really like the high zip neck and velcro adjustable sleeves. The fit was perfect too, as always. Since I have the sincere `` need for speed '', I was also duly impressed with how warm it was against the Spring windchill temps. I paired this jacket up also with some Carhartt fingerless gloves which is another story but the combo has worked out exceedingly well for riding. After all the accolades though, what stands out the most about this brand to me is that it was born in the City of Detroit for the tough, honest, hardworking man and wearing it, to quote Doc Holiday, kind of reminds me of me.

I wore this during the steady deluge of a Pineapple Express rain event for over an hour and remained dry and comfortable. All of the zippers( main, armpit, pocket) have been trouble- free. You can wear in in the 50 ’s unzipped without getting too hot, and I ’ ve worn it in mid 30 ’s drizzle comfortably. Any cooler than 30 degrees and you ’ d probably want to throw on a fleece underneath. The Sherpa is a very nice touch, and I love the hood. This coat is more comfortable than my previous coat, time will tell if it also lasts me 20 years.

[ This is a great hunting jacket. I wanted an tough outside lawyer to withstand the thicket, block wind and rain, and allow me to wear layers. This is perfect for that purpose. Also, I 've read a few reviews about how some do not like how the zipper goes up too high, but that really is n't a problem. In fact, I 'm heavy wind or extremely cold weather, I see it as a plus because you can close up more, but if it is uncomfortable just do n't zip all the way way up( common sense).

[ I purchased the prior version of this jacket in Real Tree Hardwoods in 2016 and used it to harvest my first turkey. That jacket lasted 7 hunting seasons( spring and fall) and is still usable but the camo is fading so I bought this jacket as a replacement. I used it the first time for deer this fall. This jacket appears just as durable as my 2016 jacket, but appears to also have water resistance features as an added bonus. With a wool base layer and long sleeve T underneath, the jacket should be ok for a long sit down to 45 degrees. For colder weather, just add a down vest. This is probably a roomy medium. I 'm a true medium( 5'10 '', 160lbs) and the medium in this jacket gives you room to layer, but it 's not so big as to let wind come up the waist elastic. I own quite a bit of hunting clothes from some big name competitors, but Carhartt has always been my favorite go- to. My only suggestion for improvement is for Carhartt to expand the line. Make Yukon Extremes in hunting pattern! Expand the types of camo patterns. Build it and they will come.

[ I bought this fleece to replace an older Columbia fleece that I got about 15 years ago. That one held up well, with some wear in the elbows and a failing zipper. I was looking to replace it and found the new and upgraded version in this one. It 's virtually the same with the addition of some inside pockets that have already come in handy for stashing papers and such. So often I find that replacing something older with something new ends up in disappointment as quality is n't as important to manufacturers as it used to be but I will strongly say that, so far, this fleece is as good( or better) than my original one I got years ago
