The Garmin 965 is the perfect watch for those who want to get into any activity, indoors or outdoors, but who does n't want the full suite of features the Fenix series offers. Since buying and setting up this watch, I have only had to charge it a handful of times. The touchscreen is super useful to be interacting with all of the features on the AMOLED screen. The stress and heartrate monitoring while I 'm sleeping is really nice too. Now that the 970 is out, this is an excellent deal if you can find one on- sale!

I had an Apple Watch for years. I used it for tracking cycling, running, and swimming. The battery life was declining and needed to be charged twice a day. I ’ ve had the garmin for a month now and love it! I have used it to track running, cycling, hiking, swimming, and sleep. I ’ m very impressed with the tracking abilities and the garmin app that tracks health. The battery life is insane. I have probably only charged it three times in the last month. The garmin watch is a perfect fitness tracker!

Trading up to Garmin from Apple for the back- trac feature mostly, but man does this thing have battery life. My other watch dies in 1- 2 days, but this thing will go for a month or more on a single charge, and I can charge it from my cell phone. Really impressed.
5

I 've been using my Instinct E for about a month and so far, so good! Its predecessor, a Forerunner 45, served me well for about five years, but it was getting difficult to charge( I think it was the contact points, but not really sure). I like the new features of the Instinct- E; each watch proves to have its own personality and virtues. Anyway, it's a good one!

I bought this watch having come from the original Instinct that I ’ ve had since 2018. It ’s been a great watch. I like that it has the connect IQ to change watches faces. It is also a sharper display. The E has all the features I need. Most of the general population that buys these are not doing extreme hiking or marathons and therefore the E has enough for the gen pop. What I think they dropped the ball on is still having a two week battery. It ’s the same battery life as my original instinct. They cheaped out on that. It ’s should be at least a month battery. The only other “ like ” I would want is to have the torch( flash light) on this one. Outside of that. I really like the watch.

While a Garmin is still not as “ smart ” as an Apple Watch, the fenix 8 amoled is starting to play in the same ball park. I ’ ve been very happy to return to Garmin for the sport functions after several years with Apple Watch and AWU. The battery life is still unmatched.
5
Ian M
I bought the Fenix 8 after a couple of less- than- optimal experiences with competitor products. After several months with the watch, I am convinced that there is not a more thoughtfully designed sports watch on the market. Everything on this watch just works, and Garmin has thought of everything. Even small details like the watch automatically ejecting water from the speaker after a watersports activity speak to the level of detail that Garmin focused on when designing this watch. The software is fast and fluid, the screen is brilliant, and the health and exercise data collected is precise and presented in a useful and palatable format. The only thing that I feel could use some improvement with the watch is that when I take a phone call from the watch, there is evidently a lot of microphone feedback, as in people talking to me through my watch hear a significant echo of everything they say. Overall, an excellent watch that I feel is well worth the higher price tag.
5
Liam D
From backpacking, to running, to working out, this watch does it all. Instead of asking what this watch can do, the better question is what can it NOT do. The battery life is amazing and the GPS capabilities are unmatched. The AMOLED face is super bright even in the direct sunlight. Definitely not a watch that a beginner would need, but an amazing tool for an avid explorer and athlete!
5
Josephene C
I love it. I use it everyday. I charge it once a weekend but I think I could charge it once every 2 weeks which is a total upgrade from my apple watch that I had to charge every night. I don ’ t use the sleep app but there ’s so many features that I don ’ t even realize how useful it is!
5
Nadine S
I had the Epix before and it was a great sports accessory. This does all that and more. The battery life is the most noticeable immediate difference. I use this for everything, although apparently I need to sleep more and I am really out of shape... lol! This watch will work for any stats geek whilst still being popular with the weekend warrior who likes to smash out activities and track them.

Great Battery Life and Awesome Features! I use this watch daily for running, MTBing and strength training. the watch performs well and the battery last about 3 weeks. Upgraded from my Fenix 7 to get the full color display. Much more vibrant and readable, with excellent battery life( about 3 weeks with moderate GPS use). As with prior models, it is a bit of a chore to get the menus, display fields, and the watch face customized to your liking, but after that, it just works, with excellent functionality. Main hesitation in recommending it is just the price. Unless you use the microphone/speaker functions( which I do only occasionally) the main upgrade from recent models is the display and battery life.

All the functions I expected and love, plus the functionality of the touch screen, and voice recognition is definitely worth the upgrade!

I bought this Forerunner for my husband who had a major stroke 3 years ago to encourage him to walk, stay hydrated and to track his sleep. He can walk with difficulty with a cane, but he only has one functional hand and arm. But because it is touch screen, he can manipulate his watch by touching it with his nose. We opted for a simple watch face that is easy for him to read.

Sturdy and robust design built for the hardships of everyday wear in all conditions. Great fitness tracking, gps, sleep monitoring, and the flashlight is awesome. UI is kind of weird like in most garmin products but the button interface makes it friendlier than most. Best suited for the committed adventurer and athlete. The solar display is less vibrant so watch faces can be a bit dull, the simpler face the better.

If you want a watch that can track any activity and has a battery last for weeks look no further. This watch does it all, with accurate GPS tracking and long battery life it is perfect for my uses. I mainly use it for running and cycling and its amazing. While this has all the bells and whistles it is definetley meant for the more serious consumer. It may be too much for the beginner with the price.
5
Jeremy S
The battery life is great on it, using this watch for all around activities but tracking your runs are great, I love that the screen is pretty much unbreakable and that the bezel doesn ’ t catch too much light causing glare. Very simple to use out the box, and recommended to set it up on the app for a quicker and easier set up. Don ’ t think about buying it. Just buy it. Did my research and the cheapest place I found it was on here.

I just made the switch from an Apple Watch( I broke the screen 3x before realizing the Apple Watch wasn ’ t for me) to the Garmin Forerunner 165. Like all new tech, it took me about 3 days to start enjoying my new watch. Watching YouTube videos really sped up that process. Now I love it. I love the garmin app on my phone, especially the workouts that they suggest for me. The battery life is great, and customizing the face of the watch was my favorite part. Getting all the information that I want right away has been enjoyable. I was also worried about it being waterproof, but I ’ ve been in the pool 3x and haven ’ t had any issues. So far I ’ m a happy customer. Thank you!

[ Great watch. It ’s not too big. It ’s comfortable to wear to sleep. Creating routes on it is easy, though the map is a little hard to see. I ’ ve had it for a couple weeks and I like all the data it provides with regard to quantifying exercise volume, recovery, and optimal levels of activity. As a personal trainer training for several athletic pursuits, it ’s helping me track my recovery. It ’s inspiring me to take my sleep more seriously. I ’ m still learning how to use some of the advanced features. I no longer carry my phone hooked up to my HRM when I exercise. Anyway.. lots of positive changes to my life after finally biting the bullet and getting a smart watch. I am now curious if I could have tolerated the bulkiness( in addition to the higher price tag) of the higher end model. But no regrets. Get this watch.

[ I absolutely love this watch! The battery life is amazing-- I only have to charge it once every two weeks, and I usually use it every day for activities that are 1- 2 hours long. The GPS has worked great, though I have n't tested it out on routes that might have reduced signal. There is no 'mountain bike' activity, though the regular 'ride' activity works perfectly fine for mountain bike rides. I really like that you can customize the watch face for each activity. The watch is so packed with features it is diffuse to know if I am fully utilizing it. This is my first Garmin and a multi year Apple Watch user. Solely battery capacity makes this watch superior. I have been wearing for 3 weeks. Haven ’ t really used the maps much, which was my primary reason for getting this model. Probably could have gone with the Instinct 2 or 3. Seems like functionality is the mostly the same, minus mapping. But again I am still learning the watch.

This is my first ever Garmin Watch. So far I am incredibly impressed! It is so nice I am hesitant to get it dirty and am afraid to scratch it. However, it is incredibly durable and I am amazed at how accurate the rep count is and how comfortable the watch is. There is so much customization and features available! I had bought this watch after owning the Fenix 5x Plus Sapphire and then the Venu 3. I did like the Fenix 5x Plus but did n't love it. So, I thought the Venu 3 would fill the void that was present on the 5x Plus, it did not. The Epix Pro Gen 2 Sapphire has everything that's missing in the Fenix 5x Plus and Venu 3. This watch is a beast and has helped me track everything from hiking, walking, and bicycling with great accuracy. It has the color touch of the Venu 3 but maps and many other features of the Fenix 5x Plus. Just an all around wonderful watch!

Had a FitBit years back for the purpose of tracking steps to keep healthy. Seriously think the item never tracked accurately. Very comfortable band, do n't really know it's there, seems to be tracking steps well. Appears more accurate than FitBit. I was very happy with my Shot Scope V3 but after a few years I thought it might be nice to upgrade. If you have an older Shot Scope it's a very smooth transition in the app and the extra features and better graphics are well worth the move! I 'm very happy with my new V5!

I had been using the Garmin Approach S60 for several years and decided to upgrade to the Approach S70. It is a bit pricey, but the many features of the watch along with the `` Virtual Caddie '' and AMOLED display which is brighter and clearer, offering a higher quality viewing experience from any angle, The maps are best- in- class.

I 've hand the S70 for about 3 weeks. Still trying understand all the features and how to make adjustments on the course. The screen is great- bright and clear. Battery life is fantastic. It is a very smart device and with the exception of answering phone calls and responding to texts could replace my Apple Watch
