This bag is great and a level up from a duffle bag I ’ ve been using for years from another brand. I love all the pockets and how everything stays organized. My friend has the same style bag but the smaller version, we both have experienced a hitch on the zipper on the top right side of the bag. It must be close to where some strong seams come together on the inside of the bag, it makes it difficult to open/close in that one spot every time- even if the pack isn ’ t super full. That is my only complaint, and it ’s just a small design flaw, otherwise a great bag.

Bought this pack for a short backpacking trip on the Napali Coast. I have lower back pain so I needed a pack that distributed the weight very well. My pack was about 30- 35lbs and I made it the entire trip without any pain or even soreness in my low back. It was quite incredible considering the many elevation changes- I 'm definitely impressed. I will say that toward the end on our hike out my shoulders began to cramp up so I had to do some adjusting to the straps but I think it's just I did n't have it set right. I really really love this pack and it's worth the investment!

Though it was uncomfortable under the straps at times, as I suspect they all would have been considering the weight I was carrying, I did not have any pains or soreness after removing the pack. I 'm just going to come out and say it- the roll top is sexy. It has its naysayers, but not only does it look extremely aesthetic, this thing will convert from a lightweight school bag to an all- day- expedition workhouse by simply rolling more or less. As usual, Osprey has hit it out of the ballpark on function- the strap hook is very easy to do and undo and, far from most roll top haters perception, takes less time than most zippers do. It should be noted that there's little organization. It is, like one redditor describes roll tops, `` '' a cavernous hole to put your stuff in '' ''. This suits my packing style perfectly however, as I never know what to do with too many pockets. As for definite cons... The water bottle mesh pocket is n't nearly big enough for most water bottles. Unfortunate. But it makes an excellent extra stuff pocket for a handkerchief, cards, etc! I also personally wish the stuff pocket on the front expanded just a little more, and that something was added to the other outside side panel, opposite the water bottle pocket. A second mesh pocket, perhaps? Or a couple small pockets for odds and ends that you do n't want in the cavernous hole? It just seems like wasted potential. All in all, only one true con and a lot of pros. Osprey once again nails it.

Still getting used to it but currently on a trip in Italy with this backpack. At first it seems like you need to lay it flat to access or put away anything. However, when on the go, you can just open the zippers on the top to access the different departments, and by only opening the zipper on the top, I was able to create another pocket and start using it like a normal backpack, just throwing things in there instead of opening another zipper. All in all really nice quality. I picked the option where they just give you any color and I ’ m really pleased with it. Fits Norse Atlantic Airways personal size dimensions( and Ryanair too, though I haven ’ t been on that flight yet).

I got this backpack to use while abroad. It is definitely on the smaller side because it can be used as a personal item, but it fits much more than a normal backpack because it opens like a carry- on. I try to use all of my backpacks as dual purpose. 1st is hiking and second is work/office backpack. This pack did amazing at both. I enjoyed the deep front valuables pocket for AirPods, chap stick, keys, knife etc. the main compartment has a number of different pockets that holds a number of things for hiking as well as running to the office. My biggest complement is the water bottle pockets I like to carry two hydro flasks one for water and the other for coffee. This is the first pack I have had that I can use both pockets at the same time. The front cinch pocket was great for my rain coat and other layers. Fantastic pack would highly recommend.
