I will start this out by saying I 'm more of a recreational runner and not a race runner but this shoe is much improved over the previous Max 2. While I loved the previous version I always felt it needed a bit more cushion to be considered a `` max '' shoe. This version definitely holds up to the name. Super fast while remaining very bouncy. Loved my first test run right out of the box. I think it will take a little breaking in for anything over 3 miles for me as I do battle with some heel and foot issues but always looking forward to my next run

I had foot surgery at the beginning of the year and I was using the Max 2 ’s for running. When the Max 3 ’s came out I thought I ’ d give them a try. I am so pleased with these shoes. The cushioning has made my fused toe as comfortable as it can be in any shoe I ’ ve had on since the operation. The footbed is comfortable and the soft upper is flexible enough for my fused toe to get into without pain. I ’ m loving these shoes- the fact that they ’ re orange only makes them even better. I upgraded the black laces to orange because….. orange. Sometimes shoe model upgrades aren ’ t really an upgrade- this time it is. Way to go Brooks, ya done great!
