The `` Boa system '' is really cool. Instead of leather or cotton laces, it's a wire system that tightens up to your comfort when you twist the button on the front. When you want `` out '' you pull the button out and the tongue loosens right up. Very convenient. I would recommend this boot for mostly active activities. I 'd to walk miles in them they are so comfortable, they also feel very sturdy and supportive which you 'd want in an ice fishing boot.

The boots are great! Handled spring time in Colorado so raining, ice, sleet and then snow all in one day. I mucked horse stalls and had very warm feet while doing that chore. I bought these boots due to online reviews, and they were on sale, making it a double bonus. They have a thick inner liner that keeps your feet warm but are very snug! I would have gone with the next size up if I had known. Still breaking them in, so as far as durability, I will find out. My last pair, Sorel, held up for almost 30 years so I 'm hoping these will be my last snow boot purchase! So far they are decent. I would recommend they switch to quick lace hooks, rather than the eyelets.

Best winter hunting boots you can get. I 've been using mine for about 10 years now, and buy a set for each of my teens each year. If you get the fit right, they do n't pull your socks down when you walk. Very good for walking unlink the tradition tall boots. Most importantly, they are the only boots that you can sit for a couple of hours in the winter with and your feet do n't get cold.
