I have installed these many times as I switch out locks between accessories. If the lock core is installed properly, you can NOT use the master/installation key to remove the core when it is LOCKED. The person giving 1 star may have a faulty accessory or did not install the core all the way. Or is was unlocked.;)

Nice cable locks. Ibiught it to add a little extra security to the bikes while on our hitch rack. I like that ican re- core the lock to match the integrated locks on the rack- BUT- I 'd like it better if Thule would have matched them for me when I ordered them( together) or had an exchange program! It is odd that they call it “ snug Tite ” as the lock hangs on the pin loosely and not snug against the hitch. But I have to trust the engineering that the rack is securely held and reasonably secure from theft. It was easy to install and seems like a well made product.

Old man with really bad hands, using this one handed, this carabiner is the easiest twist lock that I can find for my size hands and limited mobility. Keeps me on the rock

The RockLock has to be the best twist lock around. I was looking for a larger twist lock pear shape carabiner with a large gate opening to use on my cowtails for caving and this hit the mark. This is the largest opening I can find in a twist lock. Twist lock is super easy to open with thicker/muddy gloves on. Easier to clean/decon and durable. Larger opening makes these super easy to use at anchors, quick to clip safety lines, or to clip the ledge above your anchor knot. I also use these for making a top rope anchor as remember to screw the gate down, I ’ m bad with that, and it doesn ’ t take two hands to manipulate like a trilock. I can not recommend these more.

Yes, there are less expensive options, but these are worth the extra money. The auto lock feature works flawlessly, the the large, textured gate is easy to use even when wearing mittens or gloves. Purchased these to use in teaching Low Angle Rescue courses for the NSP.
