In June, I used the chartreuse and silver Catch 2000 on the flats in Apalachee Bay south of St. Marks, FL. The water was tea- colored but clear, and there was a lot of lose floating grass in the water. After the fifth or sixth cast, something hit the lure so hard that it about yanked my shoulders out of their sockets. A second later, my line snapped and the beast( probably a cobia) and my Mirrolure was gone.

This is a great artificial. Cast it out, real it back in fairly fast and feel the strikes. I 've caught Red's, Snook, Lady Fish( I know but they 're fun to catch), and Mackerel( Spanish and King). I do however change out the Treble hook with a tougher# 4. The hooks that come on it are a little on the cheap side. Minor inconvenience for a great bait.

The Mirrolure Mirrodine twitchbait is my go- to lure when I am fishing the flats for big Speckled Sea Trout. It has been my most successful trout lure whether fishing in clear or murky water. The twitching action, the colors and luminescent shine really make a great presentation, and I 've watched how the fish just ca n't resist it. I 've also caught Jack Cravalle, Bluefish and even Pompano with this lure, so I can definitely say this lure catches fish. I would n't recommend you use it specifically to catch Jacks or Blues with it, because the construction of the lure is not made to handle the vicious, crushing bite those fish can put on a lure, but they are perfect for Sea Trout.

Using a hard slack- line jerk really works best as this bait really has some spastic action. The slack line twitch will allow that spastic action without moving the bait a great distance. When it suspends it sits dead still in a slightly nose down position. Incredible bait for both largemouth and smallmouth.

I caught my PB jerk bait fish with the Vision 110 Junior on it's first day on the water. This thing casts a mile, darts left and right as well as rolls over to provide that dying shad imitation. Hooks are incredibly sticky, no need to change them at all! Windy, 35 degrees and overcast set this bait up perfectly and it did n't disappoint. Skunked for December had me leaving my scale in the car. Big mistake with this bait!

I have lots of other jerkbaits, but was n't willing to spend the money on what many anglers consider the best jerkbait on the market, a Megabass Vision 110. I decided to bite the bullet after watching countless videos of Matt and Tim, over at Tactical Bassin, hammer the bass on the Vision 110s and I bought a Vision 110 +1 and Vision 110 Jr. +1. I opted for the `` +1 '' in each size to get down a little deeper in the clear waters I fish. Each bait casts like a bullet, has great side to side darting action when ripped and suspends perfectly on the pause. The colors are great too, but I do wish DSG offered more colors.
