The only drawback is that it does take up a good amount of space so when trying to bring the bench up to a cable machine to do lat pull downs, the front bottom of the bench was too long for an effective positioning. Pro: I have only had the bench a couple of weeks, but in that time I have found it a very sturdy and versatile piece of equipment. The adjustable back allows me to work my chest from multiple angles, hit my rear shoulder and back with chest supported raises and dumb bell rows, and the leg attachment lets me finish off my legs after a squat work out. Con: The major issue I have with the bench is that it sits kind of high off of the ground and I have kind of short legs, so I have a hard time getting a good leg drive on my bench.

First, the instructions for putting this together were first class. They were very clear, and each step's nuts and bolts were shrink wrapped to a labeled piece of cardboard with drawings of the included nuts and bolts. Secondly this is a very durable bench and has gotten a lot of use by the whole family. My single complaint is that I am short( 5' 3 '') and while I can use it, I would have felt better if it were an inch lower to the ground. However, perhaps a tall person would be inconvenienced by that. I can certainly reach the leg curl rollers, so it works fine.

I read one product review that was quite concerning when purchasing this product. It seems an unlucky customer's arm bar broke from its weld an he could n't fix it. I have owned it for one month now and love it. It has many functions for a single bench and many ways to get a complete work out. So I still have a concern about the arm bar, however, the previous complainer might have just overloaded it with too much weight. I 'm a low weight, high rep kinda guy.

I can understand why people have some issues. If you are a serious body builder, buy another set up. I bought this with the idea of working out to stay in shape. It is perfect for that. Being able to move the bench independently from the rack is awesome. Pros-- easy to build and use. Very versatile. The leg developer is a great asset. The unit is well built and sturdy. You can turn the bench sideways and place it in front of the rack reducing the overall footprint considerably. Cons-- once you have about 80 lbs on the leg developer/preacher curl, the bench begins to get light in the back. You can place some weight on the bench to offset. Decline bench is n't going to happen without long arms or someone to lift the weight off. The rack raises and lowers just fine, but doesn not lower enough to perform decline olympic bar presses. Dumbell decline presses are just fine though. Also, the preacher curl grips do not spin so use gloves. Overall, this product is great!! The cons are few and can be remedied... minus decline press.

It was difficult finding a foldable bench, and at a good price. This bench is a bit bulky when folded, but is very sturdy, stores away easily( under the bed if you have about 9 inch clearance?), and I have no big complaints. Very well padded. Pins when putting them in have to align just right- it doesnt exactly stop at the right spot. But it's not really an issue.

I have used this bench for a couple of weeks now and absolutely love it. It is the perfect size for keeping it out of the way when not used. I do not have a lot of extra space, so it gets folded after each use and put away. I was a little hesitant about buying this at first because of some reviews of taller people and the benches stability, but I have no issues after using it. I am six feet tall and find the bench to be more than adequate, if I sit down right at the end of the bench. I still have a couple of inches before my head would not be on the bench, so I still have room to move around on it. I also like the fact that the bench is not super wide. This way I am not restricted by the bench when I want the dumbbells to go lower than my chest, for a deeper stretch of the arm muscles. The other issue was whether or not it would be stable. I find this to be more than stable. I have had no issues with this bench being unstable. It is very stable. The only way that I could see that this would be a problem is if I lifted heavier weights than I am able to control, which is not recommended and not safe for you or the bench. I am 100 percent happy with this product and highly recommend this bench to anyone who wants a versatile travel or packable bench.

For over four decades I have been a weight lifter and it would be fair to say I might know a few things on the topic. Because it has been so long in training I finally decided to get out of the gyms and take it home. The above named bench is one of the products I bought so I could train at home away from the crowds. Here is what I found. The instructions showed a drawing on paper for every part to be identified. Once identification is made, the instructions went just as they are written and It went together easy. The unit is stable on the floor and is a quality item in strength. I am able to do supine and incline press positions. There is a place on the slant rail to engage a full 90 degree upright position if one wanted back support for shoulders. However, when brought to this position the seat pad and the back pad conflict in the fold as both pads now touch and the unit will not lock into position. I do n't require a full upright position so I have said nothing about it to Dick's. It is a good bench and for me not worth complaining. The adjustable seat pad is great as it will keep you in the saddle and your body stable on the bench with any weight. I like it.

I wanted a half rack that allows me to do squats, bench press, pull ups and dips and I wanted it to fit in my 1 car garage( We do n't use the garage for parking) and I could n't be happier with this purchase. I ordered it online and picked it up from the store. arrived home and was able to put it all together in 2 hours. it would 've been helpful if I had another person to help but it was manageable. you need to have 2 wrenches( small or medium size id better than large) to be able to tighten the screws/ bolts. otherwise, no other tools needed. Tip: after putting it all together, go and tighten all the screws again for maximum stability. this is more than enough for anyone lifting at home who is a NON PRO. the rack has four plate storage posts that are 2 inches thick. they worked perfectly with my fitness gear plates. the J hooks are very thick and safe. the spotters arms are thick and have rubber insulation to protect your bar. this is a great purchase for under$ 400 and I am extremely happy with it.
