I really like Merrell's barefoot shoes as I 've had a few pairs of Vapor Trail Gloves over the years. I switched it up this time with the Wrapt Sneaker because I wanted a more casual look. [ Nike has managed to create their most comfortable dunk low without making it a part of their Nike Skateboarding line. We all know the added padding and comfort that Nike SB's provide and regular dunks seem to be a little stiffer. It's been awhile since I 've worn regular dunks but I 'm happy to report that Nike has improved them tremendously. The tongue has extra thick padding similar to a Nike SB, the inner lining is lined with extra soft materials and the insole is much thicker than in the past. I swear you could mistake these for a Nike SB dunk low. The outsole materials are very premium with the Goretex added and the leather is nice and buttery. You can wear these dressed up or dressed down and still look good no matter what. I 'm still worried about the toe box creasing which is what dunks are known for. I will have to report back once I really put some wear into these. Overall, these are a huge improvement from the old dunks and hope they release them in different colorways. If you 're standing on your feet for work or do a lot of walking, I highly recommend grabbing these for next pair. I can see the whole kitchen crew at a restaurant rocking these. Highly recommend!

[ Goretex really works well with this type of shoe design! I love being able to go out in the rain and being able to just put some dunk lows on while being confident on keeping me warm and dry. It has been raining a lot and these have been holding up quite well. They are a bit stiffer and rigid but hoping it will break in like how dunks usually do. I am glad Nike came out with the Goretex versions and will definitely be a staple especially with winter around the corner!

The all black shoe and goretex material not only makes it stand out amongst other black dunk, but it also makes the shoe feel heavier the fit of the shoe felt slightly tighter than normal dunks, but this shoe would go great in a work environment that requires an all black quality pair of shoes.

[ Grabbed the Nike Dunk Low Gtx in the black colorway and I ’ m really happy with them. Super comfortable, which is exactly what I expect from Dunks. I haven ’ t worn a pair in years, but slipping these on felt right away like coming back to something familiar. The black is broken up with a little bit of dark grey, which gives them some nice depth without overdoing it. And the Gore- Tex is a nice touch. Glad I went with these.

[ I got the Dunk Low Gtx to rock with my black on black wardrobe, and to stay dry during the upcoming fall/winter months in Chicago. I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. I have a hiking/trekking shoe problem( name the brand, I might have 2 pair), and if I had to pick only ONE, to wear every day.. doing every thing.. for eternity... it's got to be this one. Sizing: I 'm an 11. 82, medium. I have the greys size 12 here. Great fit, there 'd be extra room if needed. Toe box remains roomy due to lacing grid, but it's welcomed. Nothing thicker socks/insoles ca n't fix of course if it pleases you. Closest thing to a barefoot shoe that I 've put on and liked. They call this a barefoot and I wo n't put up a fight, but they seem pretty tall( FOR a bf shoe). In any case, it's close, and I do love the grounded feel, but only because the tread is so supportive. Ya know how most shoes are either very technical, or, `` go straight! '' etc etc? These, you 're just kind of, surfing B) What's the Catch?... 1) I 'm aware of some longevity concerns w/ tread, but I 'd imagine the give- or- take goes to the shoe FTW- anything reasonable would be worth it b/c the shoe is that great. 2) I 'd be lying if I was n't a bit concerned about the construction of the eyelets- they give the impression that too many tough yanks will make them angry. Worst case, you can craft some metal loops into the shoes, and gives you a reason to visit w/ your local tailor and share stories:)

Maybe the perfect hiking shoe. Solid waterproof construction for dry feet on those muddy days. The sole has that minimal feel that allows you to be aware of your footing, but not so minimal to lack giving feet the protection they need. Great traction of rocks, down trees, sand, just about everything I ’ ve trudged them through. Overall a great design. Only qualm is that the sole began to separate from the rest of the shoe a little before it really should have, but I partially blame the wet/rocky unforgiving terrain I usually hike in. Nothing a little super glue couldn ’ t fix.( Maybe something to revisit in a next generation design)

[ I was finally happy to see a wide light weight hiker from Keen. For awhile most of their light weight hikers never came in wide, so this is very welcome. The shoe overall is well build with solid traction. They are sneaker comfortable out of the box but I do wish they had slightly more arch support. The lack of arch support was solved by using a Keen foot insert, the k- 10. Tons of room the toe box too.

So far these have been great in the cold, snowy winter. They seem to be waterproof as advertised and are relatively comfortable. They work well for shoveling and are comfortable enough to wear to quick trips to stores, etc. I would n't want to wear them all day long. These shoes are so comfortable. Doesn ’ t really need break in time. Most leather requires some time( a few days) to get soften. These felt like running shoes, yet offering ankle support. Beware though. They are waterproof and not as breathable as running shoes. So it ’s a little too warm. The soles are soft too. Luckily the Vibram offers more traction and durability than standard running shoes. However, it ’s squeaky on tile floors when wet. Good purchase.

The waterproofing is great for the slushy winters we get here in the Midwest. I typically wear a 2E shoe, so I was pleasantly surprised when this fit well as a 10. 5M. Took about a week to break in, and once broken in, feels great. The traction is awesome, no worries about slipping on the ice. The shoe makes it easier than a boot to take on and off, but I 'd use a boot to shovel the driveway or walk through heavy/deep snow. This is good for walking on icy roads and driveways. I 'm a big fan of Keen's pragmatic sense of style. The toe cap means I do n't have fear of stubbing my toe. Also, it's a great feature when you kick the tire wells of your car to get the disgusting snow that accumulates that after driving for a while and you wonder if removing this snow actually makes a difference performance wise.( But once it drops it feels satisfying like you actually fixed the car.)

Two features I was focused on in a hiking/hunting boot- light weight and wide width. This boot does not disappoint. They are very light weight and in the field, every ounce you carry matters. And to my surprise, the wide width is actually roomy enough for my 4E wide feet. Plenty of room for thick socks! I ordered a 9 although my normal size is 8 1/2 and probably could have done with an 8 1/2 wide. Normally I have to size up for shoes and boots even in claimed wide widths. I even have a pair I wear for casual outings. Columbia is by far my favorite brand of hiking boots/shoes because they always just fit me really well, and this boot is no exception. The Newton Wander is a good looking and comfortable hiking boot. I do n't feel like it needed any break in period, and I wore mine as my daily drivers until the arches were shot. I always left them tied, but could get them on and off quickly by looping the laces on and off of the top couple sets of hooks. Even after they were worn out and the soles were worn down, I kept them around and wore them a couple more times to do some landscaping work and rebuild a retaining wall in my back yard. They can really take a beating!

Great shoes. No break in period. I took them to Scotland for my honeymoon. Hiked up Ben Nevis when it was pouring rain, feet stayed warm and dry. My only recommendation is to buy more than one pair to make sure they do n't have any weird crease points or hot spots. I had to get 3 pairs in order to find one pair that did n't have hot spots on my pinky toe( weird creasing on the toes). All in all, I would recommend these shoes.

After a horrible experience with the migrating foam in the footbed of a previous leather- upper Merrell, this was a gamble... but so far it's been great. Incredible cushioning, great fit. A few unexplainable hard spots on the uppers noticeable only on steep side- hills. Now on to the desert sand.

Got these in low top. These are great! Coming off a pair of Moab 2 lows for hiking I feel these are a definite upgrade in looks and comfort. I think Merrell hit the nail on the head with the styling, I actually am tempted just to wear these as a daily without hiking in them, I do n't want to get them dirty! They look fantastic with jeans. Also note that these leather ones are more comfortable than the Speed 2 Goretex version... I tried on that pair and the cut outs for the ankle were higher and rubbed my ankle. There is no rubbing on these, however they are slightly heavier than the Speed 2 goretex. I imagine because this uses leather.

Merrills alway fit me well. For some reason the inside lining is usually the first part to wear out and I wish that part were sturdier but they fit so well I just go get another pair. In this case I got a pair in black and they could serve as dress shoes in a pinch. Ed

The most comfortable boots I 've ever worn. This is my 2nd pair of Mountain 600's. The 1st pair I bought in black, and still wear them. At close to 10 years old they have seen better days. I wanted to buy another pair of black but, Danner changed the black ones to suede,& I prefer full grain leather for this style of boot. The Rich Brown I received is not as dark as pictured on the website. They ARE super comfortable right out of the box like my first pair.
