[ It's pretty amazing the quality and comfort of this jacket for the price. It feels slightly less like a rain jacket and a touch towards the soft shell jacket feel. My only gripe is the pit zip zipper is cold on my arms if I wear a short sleeve shirt underneath, so I usually plan to wear long sleeves to prevent that. It's a small complaint to have in order to have the pit zips. A zipper guard would probably increase the jacket price. I have 2 gore tex marmot jackets that I could wear but this one feels less like a thick, unbreakable plastic shell. This jacket is unique in that it has a breathable waterproof barrier similar to gore tex but it's only rated for 20, 000 according to their documentation. I 've read that there has been issues with some of the previous years versions and delamination. With this new 3 layer design hopefully that issue has been fixed. Only time will tell. All in all it's my go to rain jacket unless I 'm going to be in it all day long. It's probably one of the most comfortable rain jackets I 've owned. I 'm a 32 waist with a 40r chest and opted to get the medium. The fit is more standard so if I wanted a really tight fit I maybe could have squeezed into a size small. The medium fits really well though and allows for me to wear a decent mid layer if needed. One of my favorite things is the hood. I do n't plan to wear this with a helmet so it's great that the hood fits closer to my face than my other marmot jackets and it has adjustments to fine tune the fit. My least favorite thing is the placement of the pockets but as this is meant to be a more technical version of the standard eco jacket it's understandable. I do n't need to stick my hands into my rain jacket pockets anyways.

This jacket is extremely lightweight, comfortable and perfect to wear during a round of golf. The jacket is designed to keep you dry in the event of rain and has nicely taped waterproof seams. It ’s also very breathable and has ventilation holes under the armpits to help keep you cool. I also appreciate the velcro cuffs that allow you to tighten things down to prevent any water from going up your sleeves. The front zipper can open from the bottom or top, so super helpful to adjust when sitting. The jacket weighs almost nothing and easily packs down to fit into your golf bag when it ’s not needed. Excellent for winter to cut the wind and retain heat. Had multiple deer come within 30 yds and jacket noise did not alert them. Used as a top layer with layering( and heated vest, socks, and gloves all on lowest setting) during a 12( F) degree morning, never got cold and didn ’ t feel the wind. It does not have pockets, which helps with retaining heat and one less thing to leak down the road, but I use a small pack to carry in. I do suggest breaking it in a bit. I love this hoodie. It has a roomy and relaxed fit so you can pile on the layers underneath if you want or, just enjoy it as a sick hoodie. The hood itself is also oversized and fits nicely over a winter hat. It is not 100% waterproof but then again I was wearing it in rain, not snow. It performs great in snow. The material dries quickly if it does get wet. Best snow hoodie on the market!

[ Love the color and pocket lay out. All your mountain carriers will fit in this jacket without knowing they are there. The hyrdostash is what sold me on this style and it ’s amazing. The jacket is a little big but I think that was my doing. I didn ’ t measure but usually get an xl as I like my clothes room to move in. I went with the xl. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 and 200lbs. Very warm as well. My old jacket is have to undo the thumb hooks every time I went to bind my boots in. This jacket I ’ ll have no problem.

[ Marmot has a long history of making high quality outerwear. And this history continues with Mitre peak Jacket. I have been a fan of Marmot since my first jacket( the Alpine Light Jacket) which has been with me for most of my outdoor adventures into the backcountry and high altitude peak. I still remember when the 10, 000 meter parka was the one of the best pieces of equipment a mountaineer could have for protection at very cold, high altitudes. Not sure if they still make that. Back to the review of this jacket. I like the fact that it is does not come with a liner so this makes it more versatile for layer. Not sure of the durability for and longevity as the material is lighter and therefor repeated use with pack straps and harnesses may wear stress areas out as they are not reinforced. I have yet to find rainy enough day where the jacket has not performed. Hopefully this waterproofing with continue over the life time of the jacket. My biggest issue now with the latest products from all makers( Patagonia, The North Face, etc) is the delamination of the gortex material after a few years of use. Hopefully they have resolved this issue. Looking forward to many years of use with this jacket. Check in with me in a few years, I will let you know how this performed

[ This jacket is a great all around windbreaker. The fit is oversized and can fit over a lot of layers+ allows a full range of motion. The snaps and zipper are solid. Arms are about average length/what you ’ d expect. The color is a great vibrant green. As to this jacket ’s waterproof- ness I would probably suggest something billed as an actual rain jacket. I think this one could stand up to a drizzle to light rain for a set amount of time, but wouldn ’ t be what I grabbed in anything more. I gave the jacket five stars because I was looking for a windbreaker and this fits the bill.

I am 5 ’ 9 ” at 175lbs with an average build. The medium is not too loose and feels great!! The sleeves are tad long but not bad at all. I had the zipper catch a couple times over a past couple days, but that ’s me rushing. The cut works very well with my height. The only thing that bothers me is the jacket pitches a tent by the stitching in the midsection of the jacket when you sit down.

happy with this jacket. i used at mt Bachelor for four days. it was cold week but i never got cold, in fact i had to open vents. i 'm 6' 1 '' and its very comfortable fit. hood its true helmet compatible. main zipper sometimes was stubborn but manageable. i would improve the top of inside part of zipper where Gore- Tex material is touching your face/ mouth when hood is over the helmet by putting softer cloth material, maybe even this piece could be removable for often cleaning. overall good jacket.

Jacket has performed beyond expectations! I purchased this jacket to use for downhill Skiing, with the expectation that i would use it in more mild temperatures. I live in the NWT, Canada where temperatures can reach as low as- 50C. more often than not i find myself reaching for this jacket( layering during colder temperatures) for most of my winter activities! This jacket has great waterproofing and breathability& very good and breaking the chill from the wind. i would recomend this jacket to anyone who is active in the winter at a range of temperatures as it is very easy to layer up underneath. 10/10
