This Calia yoga mat is my favorite. Two best things are its length and grip. I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ” tall so many yoga mats are to short, not this one. I can keep my feet and hands on the matt. I used to be really big into yoga and Pilates which forced me to stretch regularly. Then life happened, my focus changed and I stopped but I missed the stretch. As you can see in my pics my hips are TIGHT. But not for long. Most people use yoga blocks for only yoga poses and forget how helpful they are for stretching. This block is light weight and offers 3 levels of stretch or use. Flat for beginners, side for medium and upright for those with a little more flexibility. And I love the cork look just because it ’s different.

Several co- workers had started sitting on core disks to help improve the strength of their core muscles so I was able to try several different brands. I found the GoFit Core Disk to be the best suited for me. It seemed to provide just a little more challenge than some of the others to remain balanced. I also use mine to stand on and it is strong and maintains its inflation level over time. The GoFit Core Disk is easy to inflate to the correct firmness with only one or two pumps with a bicylce pump. The price was less than in a local sporting good store but slightly more than other brands. I would recommend to friends and co- workers.

I was slipping and sliding all over the place with my previous mat. With the Manduka PRO Mat, I was calm- cool- and stable. It was wonderful! It is a little slick at first( the protective coating has to wear off), but that will get better with time. I have become a Manduka fanatic after using this mat. FYI- it is a little heavy. I would recommend purchasing a yoga strap or yoga bag to haul this puppy around in.

I have been using a good mat for yoga, though basic, it has helped me 6 months in my practice. This Manduka mat is really worth the price since it has enough cushioning, not so much that makes one lose balance but good for a head stand. Also, it has a great grip for positions when you press hard with hands and feet. It is long enough for me to fit laying down and it is n't that heavy. I bought a smaller version first, but exchanged it for the Aeropilates reformer pro xp 556 for two reasons. 1) the first was too short( I 'm 5' 10 '') and 2) the folding version has a bump in the rails the carriage rides on because it folds. Exchanged it with no problems. Got my new reformer and I 'm sooooo pleased. I work out on it every evening before going to bed. It is so relaxing, so challenging and so effective!!! I 'm 54 and suffer with back issues and arthritis. My regular workouts are helping relieve the arthritis pain( that's the reason I do it before bedtime) and strengthening my core muscles to help with back issues. I see this as an investment because it is an exercise routine made to age with. The quality is amazing. The carriage is very smooth, the frame is super sturdy and it's very versatile allowing a large number of exercises you can perform. I am a 39yo, 118lb, 5 ft 5 '' female, usually wearing a maximum UK size 8, but often fluctuate with water weight, so Nike sizing of small( 8- 10) always covers all of the ups and downs for me as the XS( 4- 6) is usually too small. I spend at least 4 days a week in the gym, combining cardio( usually running), and resistance training with free weights and machines, so most of life is spent wearing leggings, including in my day to day life as a busy mum. Nike have always been my favourite brand for activewear because the styles, quality and functionality crossing over from activewear to fashionwear are unrivaled, but more recently, my preference for gym leggings is definitely as high waist as possible- this is partly due to my age and evolving preference for everything to be tucked in nowadays, but also because the support and positioning of high waisted leggings is vital for running and the variability in movement during resistance training. These Nike Zenvy leggings tick all of the boxes- they are so incredibly supportive without causing any restriction at all, they stay high and secured above the waist no matter the exercise, they 're a vibrant, striking colour and are beautifully soft and smooth, they 're genuinely like a second skin- you barely feel like you 're wearing them, comfortable, breathable, no tightness or cutting in at all, just streamlining and supporting your body in all the right places. Squats and lunges, running, stretching, the school run, hiking, shopping, whatever you 're doing, these leggings are perfect- they 're not a distraction to your activity and leave you with nothing but body confidence. I would genuinely change nothing about them, but my only concern is how well they wash and stand up to repetitive friction over time, as this super soft material makes me feel it has the potential to bobble very slightly over time, but it has n't happened yet! The Infina soft fabric is lightweight which made them a perfect choice for taking part in a recent Reformer Pilates Class.
