[ First of all, I would like to say that this is an amazing product And the fit and feel was exactly what you ’ d expect from Nike, top of the line. I personally loved the fabric that was Used on this shoe because it was extremely easy to keep clean, The shoes really didn ’ t even crease once I broke them in, which was really amazing to me. I believe that had a lot to do with the material. The part on the actual shoe that I did not like was the back tongue, It would flip up, but it really wasn ’ t a big deal. I was extremely shocked, how slick and smooth the all black went together. This can be paired with anything, And it can go through anything. I tested it personally inside the gym, Outside on turf and track areas, Along with grass and outdoor terrain. I coached hard in these shoes, And they stood strong at every test I gave them. Once the shoes broke- in They formed perfectly to my feet and were a lot more comfortable than expected. A really cool part is that all I had to do was wipe them down with a cloth to remove any dirt from the shoe and it looked like it was brand new. I think that was my favorite part the material used to make the shoe and the versatility. They had really good grip on the bottom for a different types of surfaces not just an indoor shoe or an outdoor shoe, The style was very slick and I appreciate the minimalistic designs. [ The Nike Cortez shoes are a great everyday shoe that looks great and feels great. The shoes have a great retro look with the large Nike logos and great upper shoe style. I normally wear shoes that don ’ t stand out, but these shoes with their bright white leather, shiny Nike logos, and blue trim along the bottom make me proud to wear a shoe that does stand out. I feel instantly younger wearing these cool looking shoes. The fit of the shoes is very comfortable. They are surprisingly roomy in the toe box even though they look slender in this area. I ’ ve worn them all day, but primarily on days where I ’ m not on my feet all day. I suspect they wouldn ’ t be comfortable if I was on my feet all day such as at a theme park or a zoo. I suspect this based on the arch support being slightly less than I would like, and the midsole cushion not being quite as cushiony as I would like for a day completely on my feet on pavement. With that said, these shoes are still very comfortable to wear for your typical day. They are not too hot, which was a concern since they have completely leather uppers. The shoe interior is well cushioned and didn ’ t create any rubs on my foot. The heel feels slightly loose, but not to the point where it feels like your heel is sliding around or going to get a blister. I felt well supported in these shoes, and the tread seems to have great grip. I ’ m very pleased with these shoes and would recommend them to anyone looking for a hip new athletic casual shoe to wear. They have great style and also great comfort. The retro tread style reminds me of something my grandparents wore, but in a way that doesn ’ t make me feel old, but instead trendy. The only thing I would maybe change is the tread pattern. It provides fantastic grip, but it also appears to have great grip for keeping mud in the tread. I will need to make sure I wear these on dry days or pavement to prevent mud for getting stuck in the tread grooves. That is a minor annoyance, and all in all I think these are great shoes. Well done Nike!

Thick midsole. Con: Not a very protective shoe. This shoe is very comfortable straight out of the box. It has a really thick and soft midsole. The upper is made of a nice fabric that requires no break- in period. The shoe is classified as a walking shoe and I can see why. I can wear this pair throughout the day and it wo n't hurt my feet. It took a little bit of time to get used to because of the shape of the midsole. It provides a rocking effect so it might feel weird to anyone who has n't experienced that before. However, that goes away really fast. I think it's a perfect for anyone that needs an all black pair for jobs that require long periods of standing. The outsole seems very durable so far and it 'll probably make for a long life of the shoe. The cushioning is n't made of Nike's top of the line foams, but it feels very soft. It's comparable to other Nike cushioning systems. You also ca n't beat the price range. I appreciate that it's part of the Move to Zero program as well.

One thing that isn ’ t really mentioned or shown in the pictures is that the top part of the shoe is extremely light and feels like recycled material- which too me wasn ’ t an issue but one thing that really surprised me was that parts of the shoes are so thin that they are very transparent and therefore even the color of your socks can be seen and changes the color of the look.

[ To be fully transparent, my go- to shoes are the Nike VaporMax Plus or the Flyknits. I love how comfortable and multifunctional they are given I can literally wear them to the gym or a casual day out while the array of fun color options makes them all the more versatile. With that said, this is my first pair of Nike Vomeros. Based on looks alone, this style of shoe probably would not be my first choice given I prioritize fashion over function. However, after wearing them several times while out walking on the trail near my house which is a mix of paved road and dirt, I can say they are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I ’ ve ever worn. The sole of the shoe has a ton of foam cushioning with really nice arch support while the entire shoe is super lightweight and stretchy. The tongue is also really thick which allows me to pull the laces tight and not feel them cutting into the top of my foot. I also love that the shoelaces are flat and remained tied! The entire shoe is made of breathable, lightweight material making them the perfect shoe for walking or running. I normally size up by 1/2 a size because I like to have a little extra room for when I wear thick Nike Dri- FIT socks. The shoe however is true to size!

I used my first pair of Vomeros last year where the second half of the Hennepin 100. This is a truly outstanding shoe, as plus as they come. Ended up using these for a summer of relatively high mileage training.( 50- 80 miles/week) and I found that they were forgiving enough to keep me going mile after a mile. Compared to my other shoes, and I typically use Brooks Hyperion Max 2s, I found it the neutral and plus right of these issues made up for their relative heft. I thought at first that their overall somewhat bulky size was going to be a problem, but it really wasn ’ t at all. Quite the contrary, I was able to run much further in these than it was in the much snappier Hyperions. I will note that the sole of this shoe is relatively minimalist and does not hold up particularly well to the high miles, but on road and path surfaces this was a non- issue. See images. I don ’ t bring this up as a knock against the shoe, but worth mentioning. I believe that the newer version has the option of an upgraded sole, which I would recommend assuming they are more bomber than the original sole.

So I used a paint pen for sneakers( not sure if it will, but probably voids the warranty, I ’ m not sure but I plan to keep these for a bit) Looks way better, I think they should have been made like the pictures I posted. Great gym/workout shoe. Super stable for lifting or cardio. I typically prefer zoom in the forefoot but these are awesome. I had been using my pegasus 39's and they were n't holding up well to my lifting routine, obviously since they are a running shoe. So these give me great stability, super comfort, and they feel like they can withstand the rigors of squats/leg press etc. I also felt great on the treadmill, actually better than I did in my pegasus because of the flatness of the sole. I typically lift hard then do cardio. My cardio felt even more stable in these because of the support, cushioning, and once again the stability they provide. I wear a 9. 5 in my pegasus and most other Nike products, these seem slightly( and I mean barely) bigger than normal. I would maybe try a 9 next time, maybe. But I still think they are awesome for my needs.

I love the thick bottoms with the traction soles. The shoestrings are fun and durable and I love the orange color. The reflectors on the toe are a good edition especially for being out at night. I also like that the sole is gray and not white. That helps to keep them cleaner. I appreciate the rear foot stability provided by the deep snug heel counter. I got a great fit by removing the insoles to insert my custom full length foot orthotics. A few triangles of synthetic material seem to be somewhat breathable. The forefoot is flexible and roomy, for the balls of the feet and the toes. Good ground feel and ‘ touch ’. They have a cool classic look. These days in Nike, I am either a Men ’s 11 or 11. 5 Medium. The 11. 5 is just right- with thin socks, like the Nike Spark socks.

I always take the half size up if Nike recommends it because they run small. For me, normally, if Nike says they run small, that means they most likely fit so tight on me that they ’ re uncomfortable or hurt the forefoot in some way. I ordered a half size up, and they fit PERFECT. I wear a size 8. 5 and ordered the 9. The fits small and order a half size up recommendation is always helpful. Super comfy, super light, super cool. Shoe had plenty of room at the top to accommodate insoles( after removing the flimsy ones they came with) and the extra length was n't too much. [ Take a couple of steps in these and you 'll immediately feel the crazy bounce of the point- loaded Air unit distributing weight and pushing you forward. The new Air unit is n't the only nice thing. The premium feeling overlays and mesh- like upper makes the Air Max Pulse feel awesome on feet. The heel clip in the back adds some stability and I felt a bit of arch support too. The Pulse worked great during some of my lighter days in the gym, but I would n't run for more than a mile or two in these. These are best suited for rocking in the streets, at school, or if you 're on your feet all day at work. Fits true to size, pretty lightweight, and I much prefer the tongue on these than the one on the OG 270's. If you 're looking for an all- day comfy shoe with some added bounce, these are them!
