I ordered the Walking pad x21 and it had a few accessories options to order form. Initially, I did n't think I was going to need the mat so I chose the Walking Pad without the mat. After watching a few reviews I decided to place another order for the mat because I have hardwood floors and did n't want scuff it up. I find the the mat provides protection to my flooring and it keeps the equipment from sliding or moving while in use. I also think it slightly reduces what little noise the Walking Pad makes. Overall, I 'm satisfied with the Walking Pad treadmill and mat.
