4. 0 is the best base layer for the price. My kids are competitive skiers in the Northeast. Our winters are harsh and with windchill the temperatures can drop below zero. Using these 4. 0 as base layers helps to keep their heat from escaping. They hold up well through washing and the boys playing/lounging in them after skiing too. These are amazing! We love them. ❤️ My dad got my husband and I both a set for Christmas like 10 years ago or more. They are still in perfect condition. We use them for hunting, playing in the snow or anytime we have to be outside for long periods of time in the cold. When I go hunting and it's super cold or wind chill of- 15. I wear mine, my husband's and my under armour sweat pants under my hunting bibs. No need for a heater at all. My son told me he needed some bigger under layers so I automatically ordered him this set. He is going to be so excited when he gets the Christmas morning. Like the other reviewers I was skeptical about how thin the material was. However, after wearing it snowboarding and Nordic skiing as a mid layer, it is awesome. The only downside I can tell is that the thumb holes are aligned in a way that sort of twists the sleeves. Also the seam line across the chest can be a little annoying to feel. Otherwise, warm and worth the upgrade.

I purchased this Summit Series 1/4 zip to replace another one that ripped. This one is nice, but a little thicker than the previous version, which I still like better as it's lighter and more breathable. This one is fine for now.

Did n't really know what to expect since this was my first time buying `` FUTUREFLEECE ''. Assumed it was like any other fleece but I am glad I was wrong. The material is much more lightweight allowing for easier layering. The material is deceiving thin but is as warm all the other fleece jackets I 've owned. Definitely would recommend to friends, family or anyone looking for a lightweight fleece option.
