[ This is my second pair of these. I have not yet had a chance to wear them because the weather has been nice. But what I love about them is that the fully separating zippers allow me to don and doff them without the need to tak my boots off and on. Even more importantly you make them in a short length( I am only 5' 1 '') and that is the ONLY way this concept works. You can not reasonably shorten rainpaints with a separating zipper-- you have to start out with the correct length and not many companies cater to this need.

The material stretches and I have not noticed any wear after several washes. I am usually tough on clothing and these show no sign of abuse. The transit pants are a step- up in fashion compared to the standard Ferrosi pants. Granted I 'm not a fashion master as my wife reminds me but these are versatile enough to wear climbing or to work. They do n't have the zipper thigh pocket but as I mentioned this gives them a slightly more formal look and fit. Obviously it goes without saying that they are comfortable, stretchy and lightweight like the entire Ferrosi line. Sometimes the Ferrosi line is known to pill but I have n't noticed any yet after a couple of months wear.

I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!

I do wish they were a bit thicker( like this version from years ago), but they are thick enough for construction work. They happen to be just right for backpacking in the Winds of Wyoming- warm days, cold nights. As to the comments from others about being too tight, order a larger size… Pockets are adequate for what I put in them but they are not giant cargo pockets. No offense, but size up. I ’ m specifically speaking to my thiqq boys that make noise in the gym. We love leg day, we do it because it allows us to hike for longer. We do it for the glutes. Trust me when I say it ’s not you it ’s them. Size up and thank me later. Aside from the sizing I love these and I personally think they are a great investment if you want to take your hiking attire to the next level. Ventilation isn ’ t the cure for everything and everyone sweats differently. The ventilation here definitely cured my souther sweat factory. I used these on a hike and my back was getting sweaty so on way back I ventilated and holy cow what a difference. You sacrifice a pocket and some thigh space by having the zipper to ventilate but this thiqq boy doesn ’ t like to chafe and am I happy I found these. I still give these a 5 star regardless of the size up. I do not like to have a sweaty bottom or back and this did exactly what I needed. Take the time and invest in gear that will last longer, haste makes chafe.

Initial observations. These pants are true to size. They fit great with a belt. I was worried about the boot hook and vent zipper. The boot hook is tucked away so that it is protected from accidently catching. The zipper pulls on the vents tucks away when open or closed.

Quite happy with this version of the Astroman! Still the same great sun protection and durability but the material seems lighter/faster drying somehow. Kids go to a camp in CO where it rains a fair amount so rain pants are on the required packing list. This was the pair they had this year and they loved them. They were great because they were light weight and easy to pack. In terms of water protection they were as good as any of the previous ones they have used. They still look like new except for a small pick on the thigh of my newer pair but I 'm the only one who knows it's there. Most comfortable pants ever for working and bending they stretch in all the right places. My husband and I even wear them skiing with an under layer. Fabulous secure pockets for multitool, phone and wallet. Never put them in the dryer and you will get many happy years with them. They are expensive but worth the money. However, what I really love about these pants are the ankle straps and the ability to cinch them around your boots. These trousers were the reason for me to fall in love with the Fjällräven brand. I 've used them extensively while camping, tenting, hiking and- yes- winter mountaineering. I absolutely love the design, materials and functionality. Those were my first pair of hiking pants with pre- bent knees and I felt the difference in comfort and freedom of movement. In hot summer days, they might feel a bit heavy, so the ventilations are essential to keep you cool. I can appreciate the front pockets as well, as they have enough depth and are easy to reach on the go. My pair is ageing quite well and has no issues with the durability even after extensive use and washing cycles- the color on the G- 1000 does start to fade a bit, but it looks even cooler that way. Overall these are one of my favorite trousers. For the winter mountain, they are a bit baggy and may get in the way of your crampons, so I switched to a pair of Bergtagen Stretch for that. Still, they can do the job and will not let you down. For all other seasons, they are unbeatable.

Hands( or legs) down the best trekking and general wear trousers I have ever bought in 35 plus years of trekking and hiking around the globe. I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. I bought two pairs of these and I absolutely love them. I ’ m pear- shaped and short( 5 ’ 1 ”) and these are flattering, not too tight, and not too short. Plus, they have all these fun pockets without being bulky or silly looking. They will be perfect for summer walks/hikes or just cute with a t- shirt in the backyard.

Very comfy, great fit and generous pockets. I can fit all my essentials; phone, keys, wallet, lip balm, handkerchief, sunglasses. Only wish the flaps had a secure closure. The flaps are heavy enough that things don ’ t fall out and the third pocket zips shut. Still a win.
