I live in the interior of BC, Canada, where it ’s often brisk in the mornings and evenings. Yes, this is a cropped boxy fit and runs a bit big. As long as you know that going into the purchase you won ’ t be disappointed. It ’s a FP dupe and a pretty good one( better than ones I found on Amazon). I am usually between a S and M and will often go with M in items like this to layer. But after reading reviews, I went with a S and I ’ m very happy. I can still layer under it but it ’s not too long, the sleeves are perfect and it ’s just baggy enough to be cute. I ’ m 5 ’ 3 ” and 145 for reference. I got the green and I like it but be warned it ’s a color that changes drastically depending on the light. Sometimes it looks darker or lighter and sometimes it pulls blue and almost looks teal. I ’ m considering buying in a second color because so far it has felt pretty warm and comfy to me.

First off, the product does not have a hood& the cuffs/hood/hem do not have cinch capability. That being said I love this! The hem is shorter in front, longer in back. I am 5 ’ 9 ” about 125lbs( and small chested) and go between small& medium tops. I ordered a small& feel it fits great with room to wear a hoodie underneath for fall/winter/spring hiking if needed. I also love the dual pocket in front! I cant wait to put it to good use!

I am pleased with my purchase. I am 6', about 180 lbs., and I ordered the Large. I read LOTS of reviews( 1 star review- 5 star reviewers) before purchasing, and I am pleasantly surprised with the fit of the jacket. SEVERAL reviewers stated the jacket runs large, one or two stated it runs `` true to size '', so, what is the `` real deal ''? I believe it runs pretty true to its stated size. The large is a little large on me, and the sleeves are a bit long. I have long arms( wear shirt size 16 X 34- 35 '') and the large jacket sleeves are a bit too long. So, it is NOT a `` tailored fit look '', but I personally prefer the jacket to be a bit larger to enable me to wear a sweater of hoodie underneath. The Medium size may have been a better fit; not sure; but I also wanted the grey jacket( which is almost black in color) and it has a somewhat sculptured fit in the way it was designed. I am MOST pleased. PAY HEED: Do NOT attempt to put anything in what `` appears to be '' inside pockets, as these are NOT inside pockets, they are the inside lining for the two outside access pockets. Several people `` assume '' them to be pockets only to have had their cell phones drop to the floor.

This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. There is nothing about this jacket that I do n't like. Bravo Carhartt!

I loved this coat. It is warm but not bulky. It has a layer inside that traps your body heat to keep you nice and toasty in the cool winter months. I would not suggest it for the really cold winter days, but it is great for a light winter coat on the warmer winter days when you are running from store to store and don ’ t want a big heavy coat and it is above 20 degrees.

For me this fits true to size. I ’ m a small in tops and the size small in this jacket is oversized enough to allow for layering, but it ’s not so oversized on me that it looks or feels too bulky. I got this for my four year old and it is a perfect puffer jacket. It's reversible, warm, and very comfortable. I love that it has pockets even though it's reversible. It is a perfect size as well- not too big, and not too small, which can be difficult to get with a kids size. I would definitely get this again as my son grows. It's a perfect winter jacket!

I initially purchased a similar jacket from Northface in 1992. It was no longer water proof or resistant. Returned it to TNF and they replaced it with this. Amazing warranty.

The Women's Montana Puffer Jacket is absolutely the warmest coat I 've ever had. I work outside all day in Western NC and in the winter time I was always so cold no matter how much I bundled up. But not any more. This coat keeps me so warm but it's surprisingly light so I do n't feel like I 'm wearing a straight- jacket. I wish I would have gotten this coat years ago.
