This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. This jacket is so comfortable and warm. I bought it for skiing and I love it. The material is soft. I like how it zips up high to keep my neck warm while still leaving room to wear a neck gaiter. I also love the inside sleeves that fit over my thumbs. They fit great under my mittens and provided extra warmth. I found my usual size a bit small, but the next size up fit perfectly. I ’ m not sure if it ’s completely waterproof, but it ’s at least water resistant. If you want a warm, nice looking, comfortable ski jacket, I would highly recommend it!

The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. Unlike some puff jackets, they can be very heavy and bulky. The jacket is ideal for 35+ degree weather or a little under if you layer well underneath. Also, keep in mind my 35- degree weather may feel warmer to others who live in areas that get lots of snow and wind. I have n't had the chance to wash it, but the material seems like it will hold up well in a normal wash cycle. I think I may have needed to go to a smaller size, I had plenty of space in the jacket zipped.
