The online size suggestion for me was large, but this is my second columbia vest, so I stuck with medium, which fits just fine. Not too tight or too loose anywhere. If I needed it to go over a bulky sweater, then a large would have been appropriate.

[ Fits perfectly. I am usually a medium and bought a medium. I was hesitant on sizing after reading some reviews stating the vest runs large. I disagree. I am 5' 5 '' and 140 pounds- athletic built. The vest fits nicely. For those complaining about it being puffy... it is a puffy vest after all, not sure why it is an issue!!! I highly recommend this product. Very warm. As soon as I take it off, I 'm cold again!!
