These all- weather sneaker- boots are great looking and rugged. With the insulation and foot bed padding they are fairly snug at first. After a couple days of break- in, however, they are coming around fine. If you prefer a roomy fit, maybe get a half- size bigger than normal.

I got these for shoveling snow, before/after skiing, walking dogs, and other winter use. They 've been very comfortable and provide good grip. Warmth seems good too, but I have n't spent hours outside in them. I wore them as I loaded/unloaded skis and luggage in- 30F temperatures, and my feet stayed warm for those 10- 15 minutes. And I 've shoveled snow in them at- 5F with no issues. As long as they last, I 'll be really happy with these.

I bought these boots due to online reviews, and they were on sale, making it a double bonus. They have a thick inner liner that keeps your feet warm but are very snug! I would have gone with the next size up if I had known. Still breaking them in, so as far as durability, I will find out. My last pair, Sorel, held up for almost 30 years so I 'm hoping these will be my last snow boot purchase! So far they are decent. I would recommend they switch to quick lace hooks, rather than the eyelets.

The `` Boa system '' is really cool. Instead of leather or cotton laces, it's a wire system that tightens up to your comfort when you twist the button on the front. When you want `` out '' you pull the button out and the tongue loosens right up. Very convenient. I would recommend this boot for mostly active activities. I ’ m on my second Canadian winter with these. Very warm, very comfortable. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

They do get warm, on a plane I switched to some lighter shoes, but in Idaho in the 30s walking around and working in a warehouse they have been perfect. Not sure if I ’ d go hiking with these. I wear a 13 and ordered a 13 despite the recommendation to up size because i could n't find a 14. They fit fine for me. I wear them with the laces as loose as possible and put a knot outside the eyelet instead of tying them, and they feel very comfortable. I get compliments from women every time I wear them. I live in MN and wanted something waterproof, but still stylish. These boots are perfect for going out on the town in winter.

As for warmth, it kept my feet quite warm without wearing a pair of thick socks, but I am still waiting for the heavy snow period in Chicago so I can test it out even further. Overall, I recommend to give this boot a try, however, suggest to at least size up about half a size or even one size if you plan to wear a pair of thick socks.
