This is my first real `` swimming '' suit. I have always worn tankinis, but they have been getting trashed by twice- a- week lap swimming. I never would have thought that I would buy and wear a one piece swimsuit as a 55 yr old woman--- far too revealing. However, I really like this swimsuit! It will feel very snug, but it has held up quite well to the chlorine and wringing out. I 've been using it twice a week for several months, and it appears almost new. You MUST order two sizes up. So, if you are normally an 8, you need to buy a 12. And it will still feel very snug. I like how the legs are n't too high, and the lycra does n't give out( sag) in the behind. I purchased this so that I do not have to apply sunscreen to my bald head in the pool or ocean. I used it multiple times for racing and swimming in the pool with Aqua Sphere goggles and for diving/snokeling in the Ocean in the Big Island and Kauai, Hawaii and it stays on like glue and does not interfere with my goggles or mask seal. You can even push it down closer to eyes and it stays firm. Even diving through violent Ocean waves it stayed on-- up to two hours in the water-- no problem. Protected my head against sunburn each time with no sunscreen. On one of my snorkeling boats I saw 2 other guys using this cap for the same reason-- prevent sunburn to the bald head. I liked it so much I bought another one. Much more comfortable and easier to use than the Silicone caps.

I haven ’ t been able to utilize yet in the winter but the elastic waist is much stronger than LL Bean ’s supplex shorts since they went to China for production, and at lesser cost.. Hopefully the longevity will be as good as theirs. I ’ ve been looking for a good replacement. I believe these will be much better. I ’ ve washed and still retain form. Excellent nylon suit, now ordering another pair for summer. Waist and length excellent for swimming, I prefer nylon to polyester in suits, dry quicker, less resistance in the water. Also uses these for surfing sometimes but better for swimming. Side pockets can balloon if bodysurfing, although meshed. Highly recommend as durable swim shorts.
