I received my boots 6- weeks ago and have worn them a dozen times building mountain bike trails in Northern California. The boots are very comfortable, have great traction and warm in cool weather. What I like best about the boots is that I am sure footed when working on steep grades, in mud, and in thick bushes. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

I have owned these boots for over 1- 1/2 years now with no issues. I oil them every quarter to help with the wear and tear and to keep them soft. I keep them on a boot dryer at night to keep them dry. I work in the Dairy industry and walk through manure and chemicals, it is a very wet environment. I have gone through Red Wings and other carhartt boots that only last 6- 8 months. In short, thee boots are worth every penny. Wish I could get a pair with more insulation though.
