I ’ ve had these boots for years and not only is the insole great for an active, running 16 year old. but it also has very good grip when I have to shovel long icy driveways. I have hiked in Colorado mountains, Appalachians, and many other places and they have stood up for me. I ’ d recommend them to anyone! And my weight fluctuates a lot. I 've tried boots from several other brands/stores, and finally, after hearing me repeatedly complain about said failed footwear, my brother recommended Merrell. I 've only been wearing them for a few weeks, and while my feet have been delightfully dry( yes, they 're 100% waterproof even in standing water), I 'm wary about whether or not they will last as another brand or two also managed to keep themselves together for a few short months before disintegrating miserably and proving themselves not worth my money. So, while I 'm cautiously optimistic that my Merrells will outlast their competitors, I can confidently say that these are unequivocally the most lightweight, comfy and waterproof boot I have tried. I 've been trying to find good 'intermediate' boots for snowshoeing for over a year. I bought several pairs and returned them all. These are exactly what I was looking for. I knew these would be great since I own at least 5 pairs of Chaco boots, including the regular Fields Chelsea ones. I have high arches so I know I can always count on Chacos to be supportive. They are TTS, comfy, and of course look great. I have two small complaints though- The arch support seemingly hits my arch a few millimeters too far back. It's not uncomfortable but it's enough to notice it and this has not been the case with any of my other Chaco boots. I know everyone's arches are in slightly different places so maybe I 'm just weird. The other thing I wish they would change is the shape of the lace hooks. They look sharp( as in stylish), but they are also literally sharp, in such a way that if you do n't carefully guide the laces around them, they split the laces and cause them to get stuck. This happens like half the time I wear them and as a result, the laces are starting to look sloppy already as the different threads have been getting pulled. I still love these boots and am happy I bought them, but I will probably need to replace the laces soon.

I thought I would buy the Harriets and be done with it, but my local store did n't carry them, so I tried on the 6 '' mocs just for kicks. I fell in love. The boots are very comfortable after wearing them over a couple weeks. I knew this would be the case based on my other RedWing work boots. I ended up with a size 8 shoe even though I usually wear a size 7 because of the insole that the salesperson recommended. My feet were very tight for a little while until the shoes were broken in. I love the look of the boots for wearing around the office because I hate wearing high heels. The only down side is they squeak very loud whenever I walk on a smooth hard surface, such as tile. Other than that, I recommend investing in these boots.

OMG I CAN NOT say enough about these boots.... I will be ordering them in all 3 colors. I had yet to find a hiking boot that didnt cause me foot pain, blisters, or hot spots.... until now.
