I ’ ve had these boots for years and not only is the insole great for an active, running 16 year old. but it also has very good grip when I have to shovel long icy driveways. I have hiked in Colorado mountains, Appalachians, and many other places and they have stood up for me. I ’ d recommend them to anyone! And my weight fluctuates a lot. So if you think you are a little to big for these, your wrong these shoes are tough.

[ Just got in the mail today. They are really comfortable. I sized up a half a size and they fit perfect with a bit of room for thinker socks. I haven ’ t wore them outside yet but i feel they will keep my feet warm with how warm my feet got while wearing them for the bit of time I had them on. My only concern is the heal part. As a few other reviews said the heel part rubs a tiny bit and I feel it might either make my heel raw or give me a blister. Other than that I love them and can ’ t wait for the snow to really try them out!

I started with an 8 and they were too big. I was worried in buying a size 7, figuring they would be way too small as I have never worn a size 7, but to my surprise, the size 7 was perfect. I use these boots for work, which typically means walking through streams, wetlands, and all sorts of forests and briars. I wish I had found these earlier! My previous boots were much more bulky in the foot, which is okay for wearing for a short time or distance. These boots are much better for walking a few miles and encountering streams. They had no break- in time( immediately comfortable), and have n't given me blisters like all other boots and many shoes have. My only issue is that the neoprene snagged on a twig and ripped a hole, and I had only worn them a couple times! If this boot came with the tall calf AND thicker neoprene, that would be great!! I need my boots to hold up to thorns etc.

A good friend with plenty of cold weather experience recommended these as the best winter boots she's found, and I love them! I wear sz 6 shoes and regular boots, but the local store only had sz 7, which were too big so I ordered 6- 1/2. They 're slightly roomy, perfect with thicker socks and fine with regular socks. Great fit. I wear a solid 9 across most shoe brands but read past reviews on Bogs being small sizing. I purchased the size 11 in this shoe, and did n't even need to break them in. Size 11 fit me perfectly, given I will wear these with really thick socks while I 'm trekking around Alaska.
