They were definitely a bit stiff the first 2 weeks I 'd say. But now my foot easily slips in and out of the shoe. I noticed a little bit of rubbing on my ankle in those first two weeks but that has gone away. I have high arches and usually put some inserts into my shoes. I tried that for a bit with these and found it to be a little tight. They are comfortable without the inserts but I might try again in the future once they are completely broken in. I walk my dog almost everyday at least a mile if not 3 or 4 and these feel great. I should mention I do wear thin socks since I saw another review and she said she sized up because she wears thick socks. I do not own thick socks- they are not my preference. Buy these boots they are awesome

I love these boots—warm, fashionable, and long lasting. I have a pair that is 6 years old and still in good shape—I jut loved the new color options. I go 1/2 size up.

This is my third pair of Sorel boots and by far the best pair I have owned. The lining is super soft and extra warm compared to the other pairs I own. They also feel more like a sneaker on my foot and less like a clunky boot. Very high quality with no break in time needed.
