I loved this style of shoe. I bought a pair last year and they are my go- to golf show( I have several pairs). I liked them so much I bought another pair this year. No, they are not completely waterproof, but they are around the sides of the shoe. All you need to do is spray the tops of them with a water repellent spray and they are 90% water proof( but no, you ca n't wade through the pond searching for your ball in them). Most of the bad reviews below are just because they are uncomfortable shoes. Mine are EXTREMELY comfortable( I usually will walk 18- 27 holes in them), because I BOUGHT THE RIGHT SIZE! Yes, they definitely run small, so go up a 1/2 or whole size when ordering them. My pair last year are dark grey, and this year I purchased the lighter grey color. I 'm only hoping New Balance will keep the black ones around next year, because they clean up the easiest, and there are not many black golf shoes left on the market today!

The Contour casual has the same benefit of the excellent gripping sole( without spikes) and also the ability to go car to pro shop( not wearing out golf cleats). The leather on this shoe is amazing and if you 've owned FJ before, you know to buy something when it's available because there's always the poss of things changing in future years with sytle etc. The functionality of this shoe is A++, the quality is A++, the durability is A++. The fit on these aren ’ t like other shoes. I started with 11 wide based on how other Nike shoes fit and they were huge. I am an 11 in every single shoe I have ever had. After reading the reviews I ordered both the 11 and 10. 5. Also at the masters and Rory wanted to try a half size down and they were sold out but got connect through media and used the half size down. He was right, the 10. 5 fit way better. Now I have my first pair of 10. 5 shoes ever. Bottom line- go a half size down even if you have never done it.

Did a plyometric session in these and they were great. Very cushioned and the carbon plate in the shoe gives good feedback. Kept my foot stable and secured. Bounding felt great in these. I have not competed in them yet, so we will see. I 'm usually a size 10. 5 but ordered an 11 because they do run small. The 11 was fine for me so I would n't worry about ordering a size up.

As a high school triple jumper I can say that this is the best triple jump spike on the market. I have tried other options and I can confidently say that if you do not have these spike you are at a major disadvantage in a competition. I have had 3 pairs and all of them are still in perfect condition to jump after 2 years I would recommend that you go a minimum half a size up if you would like them to fit snug. other than that I have no complaints about the fit. The cushion on the heel is in my option the best part about the shoe. It allows to be able to absorb the impact that face on the second phase of your jump while not taking away from that power that you can create on your first and last phase. The bottom plate of the shoe works exactly how you would want while performing your jump. the flat heal and aggressive toe design allow you to get the desired heel to toe movement that is so crucial in the triple jump. The carbon plate is very strong and helps create power in the third phase of the jump. In the next generation of the spike I would like to see firm feel of the toe much like the Adidas sp2 so that you can maximize the total push of that you are able to get in you last phase to drive you into the pit even farther.
