If you 're an in- between size person, I 'd recommend sizing down. Notice that the model is 6'0 '' and wearing a medium. I do n't know what dark wizard lord Cotopaxi made a deal with to find this space material, but it is the softest thing I 've ever had on my body, and I 've had literal baby faces on my body before. I admit, I was a Cotopaxi virgin. The usual high- end brands seemed great so it was n't until recently that I decided to venture out and try one of these more colorful alternatives. I must say that I am impressed! The main things that set this jacket apart was that it wears much lighter for a larger jacket and the outer shell is softer to the touch and less stiff feeling. Also, I just came back from a dog walk and the hood was great- good vision, light, stayed in place. It runs a little longer than the others which I am finding I like as well. I appreciate there some color options outside the usual basics which is fun. Side note, I bought my father a vest and I swear he has not taken it off. I haven ’ t tried it out in the rain but I did wear it for a day and can say that it does keep you warm! I love the pit zippers they allow you to breathe and conceal at the same time! Love the colors my only peeve is that a large is truly a large lol. If you want to wear a sweatshirt under a rain jacket this is perfect if you wear a medium size shirt youll want to up it in size only if you plan wearing something bulky under it if not, then stay to the size you wear. The other reason I got the large is my arms are longer than average and my shoulders broader than average as well! I wish it was tapered at the waist line a little bit but overall it ’s a cute jacket! I got it to take on a cruise in the UK from Amsterdam! 12 days of fun I hope! I believe this jacket will last a lifetime as I have several products from Cotopaxi! My backpack is 16 years old and still looks new and I use it a lot! S is kind of tight around my hip so I got M from Cotopaxi … I am now ordering the same jacket in size S. M is comfortable but maybe too roomy. I think if I am going to wear a sweater inside, M is good. But I prolly don ’ t wear both sweater and jacket wheee I live. I think I will keep both sizes since my kids all live in very cold area. I will use M when I visit them. Anyways, it is very very lightweight and did not expect it to be warm but it is super warm!!! Very well made jacket.
