The poly insulation is just thick enough without being bulky, and plenty warm. I run hot, so this is great for me. I live in a wet climate, so water resistance is important. When I received this, the first test was to run water over my sleeve in the sink. The water ran right off. Recently had a scrap with a rose branch and the tough shoulder material was unaffected. I purchased this jacket a few weeks ago and brought it with me last week on a 3 day fly fishing trip in western NC. The temperatures at first light on the water were in the mid 30's and this jacket kept my core warm and cozy! I 'm 5 '' 10 160 pounds and the medium was a perfect fit. Plenty of room under the arms and chest area for layering, easily adjustable hood, and plenty of room in the front pockets and the interior pocket too. You also have a adjustable cord around the waist, though I did not need to adjust the fit. The fleece padding found on the interior near your neck, chin and mouth is brilliant! This soft material is fantastic when you need to zip the jacket completely up. This jacket is ethically sourced from 100% recycled polyamide and packs into its pocket or a small back. I ’ m not sure why anyone gets cold in this jacket. I use this as my outer layer when I ski. All I need underneath is a tshirt and and an old sweatshirt and I ’ m perfect in 0°- 30°F weather. The temperature in Colorado has been hovering around 0°F the last few days, so on short excursions around, I stay plenty warm. Walking around campus this jacket is light and super comfortable. It allows me to not have to layer up much as it takes on the cold itself. It ’s also very durable for a down jacket, I ’ ve clipped trees and crashed hard when skiing, had dogs jump on me, cats claw me, and no damage so far.

[ This is one of the best jackets out there. The design and comfort feel effortless. This is the perfect weight to keep you sheilded from all the elements. It is so comfortable and the fabric is super soft and lightweight. It was truly thought out in the design to have the more breathable fabric under the arm to keep you from feeling over heated during your run. I did get to wear this in some misty/light rain and I stayed dry the entire time. My favorite thing about this jacket is definitely the material. It is different from anything I currently own. The one thing I was a little annoyed with was the front zippers have these nice toggles to grip on to. But the side pockets are just tiny metal traditional toggles that I found hard to open using one hand, not even running. Overall all I think this is a perfect jacket for an all season runner and will even be wearing this to run errands as I think it also just looks sharp.

The sleeves were not too short and were not too long, they were just right! While this jacket is thin, it provides more warmth than you ’ d expect. When I was moving out on a cool night, it was very comfortable — both the fit and the temperature. I did notice once I stopped it was a bit warm for me after a workout. The look of the jacket to me seems like something a runner would wear. Outside of exercising, I ’ d be willing to wear it casually, but probably not if I was on a date or somewhere that I wanted to impress.
