4. 0 is the best base layer for the price. My kids are competitive skiers in the Northeast. Our winters are harsh and with windchill the temperatures can drop below zero. I ended up going with my normal size of XS after trying the XS and S. I 'm 5' 1 '' and 109 lbs for reference. The size small fit more oversized but the arm sleeve were slightly too long. If you 're between sizes, I would size up. My main concern was how cropped it might be and both jackets ended up hitting my waist at about the same spot so I went with the smaller size for the better arm and shoulder fit.

As I was out shoveling, I discovered the designer winter coat I bought from a big department store was NOT waterproof. Unfortunately, I weigh 274, so finding a coat is n't easy. After researching, I decided to try this one even though it is over$ 300. It fits great( it is n't loose, but it is comfortable and I can sit with it zipped)! It also is not puffy, so there is no added bulk. The sleeves are nice in that they are not too short and I can tighten them at the wrist with the Velcro. Replacing an older TNF Goretex hard shell that held up for a very long time until the zippers failed. First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just roomy enough that layering with mid layer does n't feel bulky and stuffed. Although the armpit area is a bit snug, I have a Denali fleece so maybe the newer FutureFleece models will fit better. Very light weight. Packing compressed it a lot and it took a couple days for it to expand out. My first time wearing it was in 30 degrees and it kept me very warm. I am 5' 6 '' and a large was a good fit for me, especially for arm length. I am a little concerned about longevity because of how light weight it is, but time will tell on that. Material and stitching are top notch and the jacket is very comfortable to wear. I HATE the feeling of gortex and this has more of silky feel inside and out, which is perfect. For a general use winter jacket this is perfect.

I bought this in both a medium& large... decided to keep the large even though I 'm petite because I want to be able to wear sweaters underneath. The Medium was a bit too fitted. 4 stars instead of 5 only because the white markings on the sleeve already peeled off after just wearing a few times.

[ I love burton snow pants! They 're some what insulated, so they kept me pretty warm. They fit great and I was able to order the petite size so the length was perfect. Adjustable waist is convenient. Loose, but still slim fitting. I 'm usually a size 2 and I ordered a 2 Petite.

[ I bought these pants a few months ago and was able to wear them skiing a few times before the weather warmed up too much, and the performance was awesome. The elastic waistband helped the pants fit perfectly, and the legs were roomy enough to move around and not feel to snug or pull without looking or feeling too baggy. The legs were also big enough to fit over my boots which was a huge plus I was looking for. The material is durable so I do n't fear ripping them, but not too thick that I overheated. Love these and recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of pants for the slopes.
