I use 3in and 4in Big Hammers as my go to swimbait on 1/4th and 3/8th ounce swimbait heads. They have a great tail thump/ body wobble that it just right, not too little and not too much. The tail swims on the fall and does it's thing on the slowest of retrieves. I really like the keeled body because it helps it get down to the bottom quick, rather than round body swimbaits that might suspend in comparable situations with a ton of line out or in moving current. They are reasonably durable and they have a great color selection. They are literally the only swimbait I use on a swimbait jighead!

In June, I used the chartreuse and silver Catch 2000 on the flats in Apalachee Bay south of St. Marks, FL. The water was tea- colored but clear, and there was a lot of lose floating grass in the water. This is a great artificial. Cast it out, real it back in fairly fast and feel the strikes. I 've caught Red's, Snook, Lady Fish( I know but they 're fun to catch), and Mackerel( Spanish and King). Sore Shoulder
The Berkley Flicker Minnow and Flicker Shad are about the only hard baits I have used this summer. They just keep catching and catching. I do n't see a need to change bait unless it is to another color.

I bought this reel used it a few times went back and bought another. So far I have no complaints. I have caught several 10plus pounds cAtfish with even a couple exceeding the 30 lbs mark had no issue at all pulling them in..

Great product for the money. No issues with jamming so far. Casts well and the clicker is great. If money is no object than get yourself a catfish series Abu, if money is tight this reel will work well if you are familiar with using baitcasting reels. If you 're going for bigger cats you might consider changing the line.

Bought this reel for a black Friday event in 2018 and have used this reel on an ugly stick catfish rod and I 'm very impressed with it. The only things I had to do is break the reel down and re- oil it and change the line on the reel but I always re- oil my reels before using for the 1st time. I highly recommend this reel for the price. I restrung this reel with 65 lb braid and it's held up great but always back it with good mono line.
