I am a redhead and these do the best job of protecting my neck, scalp, and face of any hat I have owned. I also love the folding brim so it can go in a pocket. I bought this hat specifically to store in my car, because one never knows when you might have to stand out in the sun for an extended period of time. I especially love rhis design by Sunday Afternoons, because it's lightweight, washable and quickly air- dryable( comes out looking like new!), the brim is wide enough to shade most of your face, the chin strap keeps it from blowing off, and while walking through a store I can either `` store '' the hat on my back by lengthening the chin strap adjustment or roll it up and put it in my purse. I never want to be without a Sunday Afternoons hat!
