I hate hats but when I really needed one at an art fair recently I bought a sun tripper hat. It's lightweight, comfortable, and easily folds to fit in a pocket and does n't get crumbled. I 've wound up wearing it a lot and I 'm buying a second one now. I wash mine often and it air drys quickly. After months of wear it still looks as good as it did when I first purchased it.

I bought the clear creek boonie for myself and liked it so much that I got my 3 year old daughter one too. She loves it! She was pretty excited to have matching hats. She also likes the chin strap because she's always worried about her hats blowing off on the boat. I like that it covers her neck and shoulders so it keeps more of her protected from the Florida sun. I 've washed it a few times in the machine on gentle cycle then hung to dry and it washes just fine. I never in a million years thought I 'd be spending so much money for a hat( and definitely not for a kids hat!) but after years of living in Florida and seeing how much damage the sun can do, I am so glad I discovered Sunday afternoons!
