[ I love hats and after losing my Columbia wide- brim hat in Zurich( I blame the chocolate) back in 2023, I was relieved to see a replacement a couple weeks ago. Imagine my surprise to unbox such a stylish chapeau! Though its wider brim made me think of Paris in the spring, it was bought for adventures in South America. Mid- August, I leave for a month- long vacation to Brazil where this hat will protect me from tropical rays as I stroll the famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro followed by 3 weeks in the Pantanal( jaguar safari!) and then an Amazon riverboat cruise. Packable, well- constructed with a must- have adjustable strap, it will literally top several quick- dry, multi- purpose, insect- shielded, Omni- Freeze Zero clothing from Columbia. In the meantime, I 've worn this hat for outdoor concerts and shopping at the Farmer's Market here at home in the Midwest. My head circumference is 21. 5 inches and the S/M is perfect. My kids and I love our hats for a couple of reasons. First, they are so light that we do n't feel like we are even wearing a hat that gives great sun coverage, but we are! Second, my kids are able to get great sun coverage with comfort. In the past most of the hats they wore had brims in the back too. This would cause them to have to take the hats off when they sat in their cars seats, etc. Now they keep them on and they stay on because of the flat feature in the back of these hats! Great design! I LOVE THIS HAT! I have it in all three colors and it is my favorite hat! the brim is large enough in front to cover my face from the sun and long enough in the back to cover my neck! Just right! I wore it while geoducking and everyone loved it! I like all three colors, but I wish the Opal one had a flowered lining like the black and blue ones do! Other than that, I more than highly recommend this hat for all ladies! it's the best!

I love this hat!!! It is my favorite Sunday Afternoons and I have many others. The only negative is it runs a little small. One Size. After stetching out the elastic band by pulling on it hard repeatedly, it fits comfortably. My head measures 22 1/4 '' around. Now I love it. Good sunblock and better looking than some of the others. I bought the cream with the black band. I would buy the blue and black too but I hate the multi print on the inside of the brim. If they came in plain black on the underside like the cream, I would buy both other colors. Why the multi print? Looks old- ladyish! Please offer all colors with a plain black under side of brim!!! An addendum to my review the black hat should have either solid black trim or back and white, like black and white stripes on the band with black solid under brim for shade protection. The red multi print is aweful!!!

I never write reviews, but I really like this hat. I have a small head and it's hard to find a hat that fits. This one is adjustable. I 've been able to keep it on while hiking in the wind because of the chinstrap. It's water resistant. Plus it packs well. And most importantly, I like the colors- gray and pink.

I hate hats but when I really needed one at an art fair recently I bought a sun tripper hat. It's lightweight, comfortable, and easily folds to fit in a pocket and does n't get crumbled. I 've wound up wearing it a lot and I 'm buying a second one now. I wash mine often and it air drys quickly. After months of wear it still looks as good as it did when I first purchased it.

I have been wearing the same Sunday Afternoons Cruiser hat for five years. During that time I wore it on all of my trips in the High Sierra and through all of my training on the coastal trails nearby. It has been to the top of Mt. Whitney twice, the John Muir Trail, the Sierra High Route, the Trans Catalina Trail, a traverse of the Great Western Divide, a winter traverse of the Glacier Divide and hundreds of miles of other mountain adventures. I made a hat cover and used it as a rain hat. It has been washed after every trip, soaked in creeks, streams and lakes and used as a sit- pad on the trail. Even after all of that it held up. and only recently did it finally start to show some wear. I was saddened to see a small tear in the mesh vent start to grow into a hole. I picked up a new hat while at a local shop before leaving for a long trip this summer. But it was n't a Sunday Afternoons hat. I thought it would be fine... just another sun hat. No big deal. I wo n't mention the brand but it did not work out well. Even though it appeared to have a similar adjustment system I could never get it to fit right. Plus, the brim was always loosing shape and eventually I realized the problem. It was n't a Sunday Afternoons hat! So I ordered another Cruiser hat and it just arrived today. Right out of the box it fits perfectly, and the brim holds its shape just right. It even looks like the brim is slightly larger but that's probably due to the possible shrinkage of my old hat after hundreds of washing cycles. Thank you Sunday Afternoons!

Been wearing this hat hiking in the desert for probably five years. Wo n't hit the trail without it. Wicks away sweat very well and is very cool. I have washed this hat literally dozens of times which is why it does n't seem to have the SPF factor it once had. been getting sunburned on my head lately. So, after five years I am buying the same hat again! BTW, I bought two hats. One medium, one large. At 7 1/8 '' hat size the medium was too small. Would n't change a thing.
