I ordered a M and a L to see which ones I liked best and ended up keeping both. Really durable and comfortable working style pants. Unlike jeans, these have an extra section of durable fabric from the thigh down on the front to lengthen the time it takes to wear out the knees. Definitely tear resistance with the checker style stitching which is a plus. Deep pockets hold a full size smartphone. 36 ” waist is more for a person who wears a 34 ” as they do not stretch at all and will be tight for people who wear snug 36 ” pants.

For context I am 5 ’ 3 ” 130 lbs with a small waist but a large bum. I ’ m a typical size SMALL in most all brands for both tops and bottoms. I originally purchased the size small and was dismayed at how large they were on me! But the length was perfect. I think ever since Mountain Hardwear was purchased by Columbia?, the sizing has become inconsistent. Luckily it seems that the quality of material is still there. I then purchased the XS. The fit seemed like it would be tight, but once I pulled it over my bum, fits comfortable and snug- however- the length is noticeably shorter- almost like “ petite ” sizing, which is disappointing. Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

I have never liked jogger pants even though I owned a few from various brands. Got these pants from OR and they are amazing. Comfortable, super stretchy but do n't lose their looks and shape, I even discovered while cleaning a stain I had made that the pains are fantastically water resistant and yet they magically remain breathable and very light. These have become my favourite pants by far. To be mentioned, I have climbed a few times with these and you can observe some minor scratches on the knees. This is to be expected so I do n't argue for the quality of the material, but still worth knowing that they are not magical paints, sadly:) I am from Europe and OR is not such a common brand to find. They convinced me with this product, since then I also have bought their Foray rain jacket, which is awesome.

[ My Ferrosi joggers came in good and proper. These pants are great for my weekends fly fishing on the river to keep cool and the sun off my skin just just as much as they are great for hanging around and doing anything. The Alpine Hiking Pants are the best that I have ever tried on. The fabric is soft and moves naturally with you on the trail or out running errands. These pants feel durable and are a nice thick material while still being comfortable. For reference in the pictures I am 5 ’ 4 and 130 lbs. I love that these pants have a drawstring on the bottom of the legs so I can tightened them around my boots if needed. These will be great hiking pants for cooler fall days. They have nice deep front and back pockets with a cute design on one of the back pockets.

I wore these pants to hike a local trail and although they were comfortable, they were a little short for my liking. I 'm 5' 8 '' and they came to the top of my ankle hiking boots. The color was great for tick checking which is a must!!

These pants feel like quality. They are 98% pre- washed organic cotton and feel great, soft, not stiff. They are a little narrow, so you might want to size up. The pockets are ample and there are draw strings at the ankle to prevent creepy crawlies from crawling up your pant legs. The length is good if you are on the shorter side. If you are over 5' 5 '' they may be short.

These pants are great! The material is very soft and durable. I ’ ve gotten them caught on things and they haven ’ t even seemed to rip or fray. They have just enough flex to move freely and are double stitched. Nice large pockets also!

I got these online to use as work pants. The elastic waistband and drawstring secured them pretty well. The material is rugged, but not rigid. They seem like they 'll wear decently over time. I bought them with the short inseam, and I think they 're still a tad long for me( 29 ''- 30 '' is my normal). Overall nice pants.
