I ’ m walking with my dog even rainy day so wear this pants is grateful not wet! This size is perfect fit me also. Usually hard fit short my legs but it good on me. Love it

5 Juhlski
This was a replacement pair for my old ones that had done me a good 10 years' service before the left zipper slide broke. I am 5' 2 '' and really appreciate Marmot making full- zip pants in `` short. '' Because I live in an arid region, I use these mostly in winter for backcountry ski touring, layered over a pair of thermal bottoms. Aside from my unfortunate experience with the previous zipper slide, I do like the robustness of the zipper teeth. The water repellency of the fabric needs to be renewed every once in a while with a spray- on product. I have never been wet on the inside. Good fit, relaxed legs( 5' 2 '', 125 lb. wear M- short). My inseam runs around 28- 29. ''

5 Abbey
Just moved to Juneau AK and boy is it wet. I knew within in a week that not having rain pants wasn ’ t an option. I got these for their short length and full zip capabilities to put on and off with my boots. Would definitely recommend and they hold up to the rain for sure

5 Nonnie Dee

[ These pants are wonderful! Very comfortable and multipurpose…. travel, casual, nice casual and hiking wear. These are well designed and tailored for almost any situation in which you find yourself. Not very technical looking which is great for easy transitioning from task to task

5 Haystacks
Pants are relatively lightweight, stretch is amazing, and super comfortable. They get wrinkly if you let them sit in the dryer for too long. So be careful on that.

5 Jordan
I have Fessari Shorts that I love and this is my first time getting the pants. They are true to size and just as great feeling as the shorts. I like that the leg is a slightly tapered for a slimmer fit.

5 OR Employee - Ryan - Ecommerce
I 've had these for a few weeks now and I 'm a huge fan. They are a perfect everyday pant that still has a technical feel to them, being lightweight and stretchy. The trimmer fit looks great too. I 'd recommend for anyone that loves their Ferrosi hiking pants, but wants the look of a traditional 5 pocket pant.

5 JAC
These pants lived up to my expectations. I was looking for pants that were light, stretchy, and provided sun protection. Check, check, and check. I wore them in 90 degree heat and did n't think once about being too hot. And even though I purchased them for the outdoors, the khakis look good enough to wear to work. I would buy them again.

My son was about to embark on a three day field trip with his elementary school, when the weather report turned grim. I needed a pair of rain pants for him badly. I saw Dick ’s had one pair his size left in stock for pick up at my nearby store. I went to the store and couldn ’ t find them. An associate and I were searching for a while with no luck. I was confident there had been an inventory error. When all the sudden another associate walked up and handed me the rain pants! Great job Dicks.

Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10, 000 feet and suited up. Pants kept us dry from the rain and wete sufficiently breathable for 2 hours of rainy hiking. They are definitely pants to put on BEFORE it rains because the ankle zips do n't accommodate footwear too well. But I knew that going in. Zippers are fail points for waters so we elected to minimize the water ingress points. Tl; dr kept us dry. Breathed well for intense, medium duration active wear

4 MissyM
[ I stayed dry even in Icelandic rain- a big plus! Proportions are odd... small waist compared to the very generous hips and thighs, then very small ankles. Planning ahead is critical... my hiking boots had to come off to put on the pants. Proportions were n't a concern with the prior version

5 dano99664
[ I bought this pair for a backup to a pair I currently use on all my outings in the backcountry where I live. In this part of the country, it can get extreme and in the winter time, we use snowshoes most of the time because of the steep, rugged, and forested area. Flexibility for mobility is necessary for comfortable traveling conditions. The better I feel the farther I can go.

5 Carey
[ I 'm 5' 9, 140lbs with and athletic build and long legs. I always have a hard time buying `` womens '' cut pants because they 're either too short but fit around the waist, or the right length but entirely too baggy everywhere else. Although I 'm usually a 6 in pants, I ordered a medium in these so I could layer underneath them. These fit me perfectly, are comfy and, last but not least, keep me dry on wet days. I have yet to use them in an absolute deluge, but for drizzly days with on and off rain showers, they 've been perfect.

5 Armani

5 King1215
[ As a tall/curvy outdoorsy girlie( 5 ’ 11 175lbs) it ’s really hard to find hiking pants that check the length, hips, and waist boxes. I find that most women ’s hiking pants are NOT built for my body. These however, are a win for me!!! They have become my favorite and go to hiking pants!

5 Maddee
[ Just bought these and received both pair yesterday. I got a size large and was worried they wouldn ’ t fit, I am a size 12/14 in jeans and have trouble finding good hiking pants for curvier girls. These are AMAZING! Very high quality material! Wore them out today to try them out and my thighs didn ’ t chafe even with the bagginess. Can ’ t wait to take them hiking in the Adirondacks! Thank you for finally recognizing that the average male in the united states is no taller than 5' 9 '' which equates to a 30 '' inseam on most. [ One of the standout features of these pants is the combination of durable GORE- TEX 3L and lightweight GORE- TEX Active materials. This blend not only ensures exceptional durability but also keeps the pants light, allowing for efficient movement in the mountains. The lightweight construction is particularly advantageous during hikes, as it minimizes fatigue and allows for unrestricted mobility. The complete waterproofing of these pants is another feature that I greatly appreciate. Regardless of the weather conditions, I can confidently rely on the GORE- TEX technology to keep me dry and comfortable. Whether it's a light drizzle or a heavy downpour, these pants provide reliable protection against moisture. It's worth noting that if you plan to wear them over clothing, it's recommended to order a size up for a proper fit. In terms of fit, the elastic waist belt and ankle zippers allow for easy customization. I can adjust the pants to my preferred fit, ensuring optimal comfort throughout my outdoor activities. The zippered pockets are also a convenient addition, providing ample space to stash small gear such as keys, a map, or a phone. Furthermore, the packability of these pants is worth highlighting. They are extremely lightweight and can be easily compressed, making them a fantastic choice for backpacking or traveling. The ability to pack them down into a small size without sacrificing performance is a huge plus. In summary, the Men's GORE- TEX® Mitre Peak Pant is a versatile and reliable choice for outdoor enthusiasts. Their complete waterproofing, lightweight construction, and packability make them perfect for hiking and other outdoor activities. Whether you 're braving wet conditions or looking for comfortable and functional pants, these are an excellent option. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking durable, lightweight, and versatile pants for their adventures.

Great fit. Great stretch. Great pockets And great length for tall girls.

5 Charlene J.
My fourth style of trousers and these are my favorite!! Long raw hem means I get to choose the length! One pocket stretchy and one pocket G1000... makes for sleek storage and style. My husband says the seat makes my fanny look fantastic. So stylish and functional! The move with my body do n't need a belt or constant adjustment. Durable where they need to be. True to size.

5 Ashley V.
Leggings are the only thing that I have ever been able to wear hiking/ backpacking until now. Although leggings are great to wear while hiking, they are sometimes not durable enough for parts of the trail, but they were the only pant that came up high enough on my waist and had room for my hips and thighs. The Nikka, however, does both AND they add much more durability and confidence to my hikes. They also have bigger pockets which allow more room for storage. The stretch fabric through the midsection and thighs make rock scrambling and uneven terrain much more comfortable than a regular hiking pant as well.

5 Jamie H.
These are the best pants I own for outdoor use. I love the fabric, fit, and the pockets! I was concerned about sizing. For reference I wear size 30 in the Levi 721 High rise skinny jeans and usually find jeans do n't fit my larger butt( gape at waistband). The size 40 fits me great. I also own the womens regular Vidda Pro's and prefer the fit of these pants.

5 Isabelle S.
So excited to finally have a pair of technical trousers that fits both my inseam and my hips! I 've struggled for years finding the right fit, and always had the issue of the pant seat being to tight. The Nikka Curved goes a little bit higher up on your hip, for me it sits at my true waist- immediately making these really nice and flattering. I love brining these on my spring and fall hikes around the North Shore in Minnesota.

These pants are soft, lightweight and the stretch is an added bonus for a rain paint. The sizing is true to size and I will get lots of use on these pants for both backpacking and backcountry adventures in the winter too!

5 Matt L
I ’ m super happy with these. My husband and I both have a pair. They have seen five days in the BWCAW and two weeks in the bighorns and wind rivers of Wyoming. Everything rain and wind to hail and wet snow. Great pants to have in the top of your pack for whatever the weather throws at you.

4 Still Wandering
From the description, I 'd much rather wear these than my current rain pants. But what's the inseam for a Medium? Size Small looks long on your 5' 8 '' model.

[ By far these are the most versatile climbing pants I have ever owned. I bought the first pair and hit the rock gym, I was impressed, I took them on a trip to do some lead climbing and was blown away. The amazing stretch allows you to make those big kicks to the next foot placement with confidence. The material is bombproof and made for the wild, I scrapped these against all kinds of rock and not a scratch on them. The stitching is fantastic, they have built in ankle adjustments so you can run them shorter when it's hot, they have a zip and button fly, integrated waist tie, belt loops if you need to run a belt, 2 zip pockets( right thigh and right rear) and 3 regular pockets, the material breathes like it's cotton, but dries fast when wet. Crazy versatile gear. Outdoor Research truly lives up to their name, the attention to the fine details is what sets these pants apart. Go ahead and click add to cart with confidence.

5 Seang
[ This is my second pair. They 're comfortable, look good, and are tough! I did every awful thing I could think of to the first pair: woods, mud, crawling over rock, spilling beer! They held up great and are still going, but looking a little worn after 9 years of abusing them. Bought another pair for traveling.

5 ampm
[ These pants are excellent. I work outdoors in the heat and sun and nothing beats these lightweight pants. As stretchy and comfortable as joggers, while looking as clean and professional as chinos. Can not recommend these enough. Your normal waist and inseam size will work because of the stretch, however the waist runs half- an- inch to an inch small and the length is half and inch long in my opinion.

5 Docc
[ Just received my Outdoor Research Ferrosi pants. First thing I noticed was the softness of the material. The pants fit perfectly in fact I 'll be wearing them even when not hiking. The zippered thigh pocket is big enough for the phone. The two front pockets are huge and I like the back zippered pocket for my maps. The fit is not tight or loose. Upon bending, the Ferrosi material seemed to be stretchable and not confining. The pants felt comfortable and breathable to the point that I thought I was wearing shorts. Even hiking during the New Mexico monsoons, I kept dry. Hiking through the brush, I was n't sure if the pants would tear, the Ferrosi pants passed the test. As far as style is concerned, I feel and look great in these Ferrosi pants. Keep up the good work Outdoor Research, ca n't wait to get a Ferrosi jacket.

5 Patrick
[ These pants are extremely comfortable, and they do not bind. They are also cool in hot weather, and dry out quickly if they get wet. I have tried to get by with cheaper alternatives from a big box warehouse store that starts with C. But they never fit right. It ’s worth it to spend a little more and get these pants.

[ Great rain pants for backpacking — super light. Ankle zippers are a bonus. No side pockets though, worth it for the weight savings. We 'll see how well Pertex holds up to UV and continual use over several years...

5 Patty
[ Super lightweight but do the trick keeping you dry and warm. Great for the unpredictable and very cold Chicago weather! It ’s my go to when I ride.

5 ToesandPaws
[ These pants are great for hiking in wet weather! Slip them on over the shorts. For reference, 6' 1 '', slim build and pants were right at a good length for me( I usually get a 32 '' inseam). Do the job as intended. Got the matching jacket, both work great.

5 kenneth

I dug a trench in the rain, in January, during some terrible rains in the middle of the night to keep my basement from flooding. I was dry and comfortable in these pants. I suspect it's more fun to talk in the woods with them and get sweaty, and I 'll try that too, but first rev of these in the field is positive.

I got these pants in the spring for field work( I work in environment). I ended up wearing them all summer and was impressed how well they handled bushwacking in thick forest and shrubs without getting shredded. The big pockets are very useful to keep your things within reach at all time. In the fall I went for a 5- day backpacking trip and I was absolutely impressed by their versatility. We had some hot days, and the vents allowed me to stay comfortable. We had a night of pouring rain and the next day everybody got their pants soaked by the wet vegetation. The G- 1000 fabric was just water repellant enough to keep me dry. Finally we went over a snowy mountain pass, and the hooks allowed me to tie the pants to my laces and keep the snow from getting into my boots. Overall the only thing these pants could n't handle was the darn chipmunk that chewed a hole through the pocket one night to get at the couple peanuts that were left in there!

5 Kacey R.
This was the first piece I ever owned from Fjallraven and remains the best pair of hiking pants I 've ever had. The first time I really used them, I was backpacking in the Sierras in the middle of summer and though I might use a lighter pair in that particular climate, the fact that I did n't feel like I was melting was huge. The side vents helped with heat management, and the durability of the fabric made me feel invincible! The more I use them, the more rugged they look and I just love that.

5 Makena B.
The Keb trouser is my favorite Fjallraven pant. I sometimes call it a technical sweat pant. It is THAT comfortable. These are my go- to pants for colder mountain biking temperatures and spring skiing. The botton system at the ankle makes for a good jogger style fit. Or you can loosen it up to fit over a bigger boot. Despite the two zipper vents I find that these trousers start to feel a bit too toasty for temps 65 degrees farenheit and warmer. Check out the abisko lite trekking trouser for a comparable style made with a lighter weight fabric.

5 Matthew A.
I ’ m hard on gear, especially clothing when in the mountains. After loving my first pair of Kebs, I bought a second and they ’ re quickly replacing most of my softshell- style mountain pants. The side zips are great for venting the legs on sunny days on the glacier. I ’ ve worn these through dumping snow and miserable rain and have never had an issue so long as you keep up with the water- proofing recommendations. The design is well though out with stretchy material for comfortable movement in spots and reinforced material where necessary for durability.

5 Alicia P.

5 Daniel O.
Super comfortable and very breathable. Everything you need in a pair of hiking pants.

5 Graham Douglas L.
Basically these are the best hiking pants you can buy. Super tough, super comfortable, amazing mobility. I have taken mine everywhere and in every type of conditions. I just can seem to destroy them haha. They keep me dry in most conditions as well. I love the burly g- 1000 fabric on the legs and seat, I use these in the back- country and off trail and have n't once ripped them of had and thorns etc get me. Amazing pants!

5 Jeromey F.
It took me a while to spend this kind of money on a pair of pants. Never have I done so, until hiking through mesquite brush, briar, and cacti became a daily ritual as part of my job. Where I am from, the temperatures are scorching during the summer, hitting heat index values of 108. I was skeptical about the G- 1000 being too hot for such weather but the Keb trousers have proven me wrong. I am very impressed with these pants. The lightweight fabric is perfect for keeping me cool and the G- 1000 protects me through the dense vegetation I usually go through. The ventilation zippers at the thighs and calves are amazing additions to help dump that excess heat. The range of motion is incredible in these pants, I am never restricted no matter how I move. I wish I had purchased these sooner! The Keb trousers were my first Fjallraven purchase, and they most certainly will not be my last! Thank you for making such an awesome, hardwearing, and breathable pair of pants!

5 Matthew H.
I remember when I bought my first Keb pants, thinking `` am I crazy for spending so much on pants?? '' but after wearing them for over a year, I was very happy I did. These pants are very versatile. I wearing them on hiking/climbing days, gardening, tree maintenance, and for general labor. I 've even worn them for cold weather running. For some weeks, they are all I wear. They are very durable, no rips/tears or issues. They breathe well, but still keep me warm on colder days. Perhaps not the best for heavy rain, but are great in all other conditions.

I use these leggings for running in cool to cold temperatures, and they do great with sweat management. The pocket is in a much better spot than the previous version so that they can be used to hold a phone or energy bar with minimal bouncing. They also do well in PNW wet weather, keeping my legs warm even when soaked through with rain.

5 Roberto
Predominantly a cold weather running pant, though I have used it for nordic skiing as well. I find the pant performs exactly as I hoped, meaning that I can run in above freezing temperatures without overheating, but do n't freeze at- 10C. Excellent fit, trim but not tight, great freedom of movement.

5 Pat
Very pleased. I 'm shorter/stockier( 5' 5 '' /170lbs) and the medium was great for me( 32 '' waist), although they fit a bit snugger than shown in the taller model on the website. VERY warm pants. I would have liked regular pockets as well, but the two side leg pockets work great for phone/keys. Great for shoveling snow or running and everything in- between!

5 Rod L
This is my second pair of these pants. I think they are great. I use them all winter on mountain treks. Very comfortable and when it gets colder, I just layer with my merino wool underneath. I 'm 5- 7 '' and weigh 160#. And the mediums fit great.

And the venting options made them comfortable in Various temperatures. I am thinking about getting another pair. Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

They dry quickly. I am absolutely in love with Fjallraven tights, and these are a new favorite.

5 FjällFox
I think Fjällräven really succeeded it balancing the comfortability of tights with the durability required for trekking in forests. They still look brand new after several washes and many many treks. The added warmth is such a nice bonus!

They are very comfortable and made of excellent quality material. I do love that they have sun protection as well.

[ These pants are great and versatile, the fabric is lightweight but durable and feels extremely high quality. I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and the inseam is perfect as it hits the top of my hiking boots, not to mention the drawstring at the ankle makes it versatile when I ’ m wearing thicker wool socks.

[ I received the Marmot Arch Rock Convertible UPF 50 Pants for free in exchange for an honest review, and I couldn ’ t be happier with them! When I got them, I immediately thought they ’ d be perfect for my mother- in- law, who loves hiking and travels to all sorts of unique destinations. After trying them on, she said they were incredibly comfortable and lightweight. She wore them on a hike, and afterwards, she mentioned that they were some of the most comfortable pants she ’s ever worn. The convertible design is a great feature, especially for fluctuating weather during hikes. The UPF 50 rating is a bonus, offering solid sun protection while still being breathable. Overall, we definitely recommend these pants to anyone who enjoys outdoor activities. They ’ re functional, comfortable, and perfect for any adventure!

[ These pants are awesome. Warm, stretchy, wind resistant with a nice fit. They run large so size down. Liked them so much, I bought a second pair!

[ Love these pants! Warm, fit well and water resistant. I used them recently for a 5 week trip in the arctic. They preformed well and held up great despite wearing them almost every day! They stretch well and so comfortable. 5' 5 '' 150#. Size 8 fit well, but not loose. Size up if you want a baggy fit.

These are the most versatile winter pants I 've ever owned. The combination of breathable and fleecy warm fabric makes them wearable while traveling and perfect for most any winter adventure when you arrive. I 've worn them cross country skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking, kayaking, and on the plane home. Layer on rain pants and and you' r good for almost any winter conditions. I also love them for camping, I thrown them on in chilly evenings by the campfire. The short version of these parts are fit me perfectly, the combination of fabrics are comfortable, and the cut is flattering and functional.

I use these pants when hiking and camping in cold/damp weather. The fleece liner feels so comfy against the legs, and the outer shell is durable. These pants are extremely flattering, but I am not a curvy girl... I 'm more straight- shaped. I could see why a curvy figure would have some issues with the waistband. I am in the outdoors all the time for work, and these are a go- to pair for me in the colder and shoulder months. I will be buying more.

I previously bought OR's Methow legging and loved them too, but these pants are even better. They are nice and stretchy, just like the Ferossi pants, but with fleece lining to keep you warm when cold weather hiking. I love the fit-- they have a slightly high waist, which was not obvious to me from the pictures, and I like that so much better than the low rise I find on most hiking pants. Another reviewer complained about the fit, but for me, a more curvy gal, the fit was perfect. I also love the side pockets, including one zippered one. They stretch a bit when wearing them so if you are between sizes, considered the lower size. I will definitely be ordering another pair and wearing these throughout the winter.

[ These pants fit well and are very, very comfortable. I first wore them for a week trekking in the cloud forest in Colombia's Putamayu region. They rinsed off easily, dried quickly, were cool in the humidity, and felt good the entire time. I highly recommend them

[ Very useful for those days when the temps will swing a lot. Maybe you are starting activities early in the morning when it's cold but will be out as it gets hot and want to remove the legs of your pants to have shorts instead. Or perhaps you are hiking and going up a mountain and know it will get much colder as you proceed, and will want to change from shorts to pants. These are comfy for any such activities. My only complaint is that I think these run a bit small. I wear a medium in most pants and shorts( including shorts from Marmot), but these are pretty tight on my curvier butt and legs.

5 Bricks
[ Very soft, and the fit is great! Medium is true to size.

[ I ’ m so glad I bought these. I bought 2 pairs and now wish I had bought more!

Great zip- off pants. Excellent stretch, durability, and indicators for each zip attachment( colors indicate which pant leg attaches). The only improvement that could be made is additional leg length and waist options to really hit the mark.

Perfection! I 've been on the search for a down pant that is n't made for 5' 9 guys that are 250lbs. No offense to you fellas but us long legged guys seem to get left out in the cold( pun kinda intended) when it comes to length. Mountain Hardware knocked this out of the park all around. I need another pair before they disappear.

I absolutely positively love these pants. I am 511, weigh 180 and waist 33 inch. Mediums fit great. They keep me warm with temps down to teens with just a very light base layer underneath. Yet light enough that I can wear them with temps in the 60s and not feel overheated. Very comfortable. Great pockets. I own two pair, black and camo, and bought my daughter a pair of this past Christmas. I don ’ t need another pair, but good grief they ’ re on sale again in a color I don ’ t have. 🙄

[ Does n't have the baggy bro- brah fit- thankfully. Still has enough room through the bottom leg for big boots and a gusseted crotch. Simple pant but well done, really all you can ask for.

[ I really like these and wear them while fat biking the winter. Now need for a bottom layer even down to 10 degrees while on the fat bike. They are tough I have scraped them on branches and stuff with out a mark.

5 Jeff
[ I used them for a week in the Cascades, an attempt on Mount Rainier in whiteout conditions and a successful summit of Mount Hood including a glissade on the way down. They were awesome!

5 Big Tasty
[ Best soft shell pants I ’ ve ever worn. From climbing to hiking they are comfortable, weather resistant, and tough. I paired them with suspenders which make them really comfortable to wear with a harness.

What really surprised me was the temperature regulation- despite pushing through 14 challenging miles, these pants kept me perfectly warm without overheating. The ventilation zips were a lifesaver when the afternoon sun hit!

I have horses and in addition enjoy spending a lot of time outdoors in the winter in general- hiking, walking on trails, etc. These pants are so warm and very easy to maneuver in, as well as feeling durable enough that I 'm not worried about damaging them.

For context I am 5 ’ 3 ” 130 lbs with a small waist but a large bum. I ’ m a typical size SMALL in most all brands for both tops and bottoms. I originally purchased the size small and was dismayed at how large they were on me! But the length was perfect. I think ever since Mountain Hardwear was purchased by Columbia?, the sizing has become inconsistent. Luckily it seems that the quality of material is still there. I then purchased the XS. The fit seemed like it would be tight, but once I pulled it over my bum, fits comfortable and snug- however- the length is noticeably shorter- almost like “ petite ” sizing, which is disappointing. I will keep this pair though, as I mentioned, they are still good quality pants for winter!

Bought these for a hike on Mount Ranier, and they performed exceptionally well. The weather was n't too hot( I 'm from Florida) that day, and I slipped and fell down a jagged set of rocks and they did n't tear at all, although my palm meat took a massive gash. I was honestly surprised that they held up, and the lifetime repair option was what got us to purchase them in the first place.

5 Central OR Elk guy
If you ’ re tall and slender you need these pants. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 ” 190- 200lbs and the 34 long fits absolutely perfect. More comfortable than any pants ive ever worn. I wear these multiple times a week and have multiple pairs now. they can totally fit in with a collared shirt and are acceptable in most work environments. They don ’ t look like technical hiking pants with an elastic waistband unless you really pay attention. I also wore them for multiple elk hunts this fall and they served me very well. Still look brand new and my hunting partners Sitka pants look like the loop side of Velcro from the same brambles and granite rocks we walked through. You don ’ t have to wear gaiters in most swampy or wet areas because of the drawstring at the cuff. Belt loops are big enough for a thick tactical belt and have additional loops for a carabiner or hand warmer pouch. They are very water resistant, don ’ t gain much weight when soaked through, and dry very quickly. They pack down to almost nothing and pockets serve as very effective vents — direct airflow to the gentleman parts. Perfect pants for hunting, backpacking, climbing. If you pair with a base layer they are perfectly fine for the winter, down to 0F at least. My only criticism is that they are not good around campfires or sparks. You will get a pinhole if a tiny ember lands on them. Buy the full g1000 pants if you are gon na be around a campfire or work environment with sparks.

5 D Lee
Wearing these pants now. Very comfortable. Minimal stretch. Great fit and look for trail to city. Sizes slightly small so if you ’ re between sizes pick the larger size. Fabric is such that animal hair doesn ’ t get buried in the fabric. Nice water repellency for walking in the rain with dog. Final verdict is these pants are understated but technical enough for wear and tear. Get yourself a pair.
