Thought I just needed a vest as part of my running wardrobe, but little did I know this was a must have I never knew about. Now in cooler weather I ’ m wearing this for pretty well any temperature below 50F. Seems shocking that you could do 6- 20 mile runs at near 50 degrees with what seems like a hot article of clothing but somehow it ’s fantastic at regulating heat. I ’ VE NEVER FELT HOT WHILE WEARING THIS!!! Sure I ’ ll still sweat, but there ’s no worry about thinking you need to plan for how warmed up you ’ ll be 2- 3 miles in. One slight ding I ’ d give for how small the zipper pulls are and it ’s easy for the bottom one to not quite line up and get off track.

I really like this jacket so far. I am 6' 2 '' around 205- 210 and I bought the XL. I think this fits well if not a bit long in the arms. The jacket sleeves do down a bit past my knuckles and the back extends down pretty far, but its the perfect length to still have coverage on my back if I am bent forward( biking) or if I reach above my head. I guess that's what you want in a rain jacket, although if I lose a bit of weight I fear this jacket may become too baggy. The sleeves are velcro so they can be tightened in order to not droop down past your wrists.

I needed a jacket that was light and packed down small but offered good protection and breathability during aerobic riding. This jacket checked all the boxes and I was so glad I had this jacket when the clouds opened up during one of the stages this year. The temperatures dropped rapidly and it was heavy downpour conditions for an extended period of time. I have been looking for a good puffer jacket for my upcoming trip to Paris. I 've tried on several different brands and styles of jackets, and none of them came anywhere near close, compared to the Canyonlands Hybrid. This is one of the more convenient running items I have ever purchased and I love it. I also like the fit, as it sits right on the waist area. I usually prefer for these to go slightly below the waist, but this one is nice as is. If you are running and get too warm the ability to change it to a vest is so convenient. This will allow you to not have to drop the piece off at some random location during a race to have to come back and find, hopefully no one has taken it.
