The 2- way zipper can be a slight bit of fuss to hitch together but I find it's worth it for that extra utility. I love how Fjallraven implements 2- way zips on so many of their jackets as it really makes the jacket drape nicer when you sit down and can unzip the bottom a bit.( does n't do that awkward bunching up thing) I originally owned the hoodie version but found the hood a bit too small/tight to wear on my head and it bunched up the beard uncomfortably. When I saw they made a hood- less version this season, I was really interested. After taking it out on trek, can confirm it's great as always but I will say I 'm a bit dismayed at the removal of the chest pocket as that was another favorite feature of mine on the original model. Glad to be rid of the hood but sad the chest pocket has gone along with it.

I bought based on the actual measurements of the jacket. I have a medium that is 22 '' in the chest. I usually wear L or XL in women's clothes, I 'm happy w this choice bc the jacket is a little more fitted which is good given the weight and bulk. The other thing I wondered was whether it stretches. I ’ ve worn it.. a lot…in many weather situations and it still looks brand new! Regarding others reports that it is “ stiff ” …this is only relative to other, less robust fabrics. Example, I have the Kaitum jacket also, which is considerably lighter and more flexible but also isn ’ t quite as warm and wind impermeable. I found the sizing to be pretty true to size. I scored mine on an end of season sale and literally couldn ’ t be happier. Would ’ ve been worth every penny at full price! I wear this in winter with a long sleeve shirt and in fringe seasons and it rocks em all. I ’ d buy with confidence!

This is a different fleece jacket altogether, and actually I like it better. The contrast trim is very attractive, and the new Rocklin is a heavier weigh. For anyone who has the older rocklin fleece jacket this one is sized larger. I initially bought a size small, and that one is big enough to be an outer jacket in warmer weather. The x- small is now the right size for me to use as a mid layer.

I have the 12v system for all day riding on my Goldwing. I use this for days when I am off and on the bike a lot because I do n't have to worry about extra wires. Also great for motorcycles that do n't have a large enough electrical system plus other non- riding adventures. Typically using the lower power modes I all day warmth. I have an extra battery that I also carry and rarely need to use it. Wear it as a thermal layer under a coat for max protection and warmth. At times I will even wear it around the house instead of turning up the thermostat. I have the fleece vest version too.

This is my second Gerbing Fleece product. My first was a 7V fleece heated sweater/jacket from Cabela's( made by Gerbing) which is still working great after 4 years. My new Gerbing Gyde Zenith Fleece Heated Jacket? Outstanding! This one has 4 heat levels instead of three and a larger capacity battery which is a welcome improvement. This heated jacket fits well, is well made and while I tried the highest heat setting just for fun, I doubt I will need to use high very often. This thing puts out some serious heat. For all day outdoor adventures, I would recommend buying a couple of extra batteries. I did. I would n't hesitate recommending this to anybody.

I have had this jacket for at least 2 years and it has held up well. I wear it throughout the year: at work( in the hospital), camping and just out and about. I wash it regularly and hang it up to dry. It still looks great with very minimal pilling. I would get another in a different color. I agree that it could be less itchy but I am not bothered by it. I have worn it layered under another jacket as well. For me, this is a great layering piece.

I often prefer men's styles due to the straight cut without the flared out hips that most women's shirts/sweaters tend to have. I wear this hoodie as my jacket when temps are on the warmer side and as a mid layer under a jacket when temps are on the colder side. I will say it's very warm though. I can usually get away with wearing it in the low 50s to high 60's as my outer layer. I 'm a 5' 5 '', 110 lb female with a straight/slim build and I wear the XS. The sleeves are a tad long for me but I 'm used to it since I wear mostly men's clothing. I usually just cuff them back a little. I 'm also a big fan of the G1000 reinforcements from the elbow to the wrist. It's a nice look and gives the sweater extra durability. The leather logo/ending to the drawstrings is a nice touch too.

I was fortunate enough to be able to grab this when it was half price and I 'm so glad I did! The color is exactly as shown. The inside has a beautifully soft fleece layer. I also like that it has a loop near the tag inside for easier hanging. I often wear a size large in most women's clothing, but this was described as being a little bit of a loser fit and I would definitely agree with that. And I feel like it fits well while even having a little roof to spare, which is great for when I want to wear layers. I also like that it's a little bit longer in the back, so if you 're wearing leggings and would like to cover up a little bit more, this offers a little more coverage. Coverage. There are two good size pockets in the direct front on either side of the jacket and it has a zipper closure. I would definitely recommend this to others and would recommend going a size down from your normal size.
