It ’s more expensive than your average mat, but it ’s the one that has performed the best for me. It ’s tacky and holds up to heavier use( i. e. hot yogas and/or bikram). It is higher maintenance than your cheaper,$ 10 mats, but those mats also don ’ t last very long and contribute extra to the landfill. This is the best yoga mat I have ever owned! It is very grippy in my vinyasa class and I always feel secure and confident on my mat during heated classes and doing balance work. I ordered the Manduka Prolite( 5. 0mm), the Jade Yoga Fusion( 7. 9mm) and the Jade Yoga Harmony( 4. 7mm) mats. Spending this much on a mat I wanted to make sure I would be happy with what I ended up with. No doubt this is the best mat for me. The mat is heavier than the others but there is no slippage and the extra cushion for my knees makes it the best choice above others. For the record, I would have chosen the Jade Harmony over the Manduka Prolite if the choice was limited to one or the other of those two.

I wish it would have come with a carrying strap in this price range but it is still worth the money. I would recommend to just splurge on it and never have to buy another mat again.

[ Used this mat for about 3 weeks now. There are ways to “ break in ” the mat. Some videos online recommend salt and sunshine for 24hrs. BUT if you use it enough it will break in just fine. After just a few weeks it not slippery.

I just got my mat this week and I could n't wait to practice on it. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful and the thickness of the mat is very comfortable. I know you are `` supposed '' to wait to `` air it out '' but I could n't. I hopped on and practiced. it felt great. I have been practicing yoga for 9 months and had a beginner mat before and decided to upgrade( I deserved it). The only thing that irks me is that when I practice, it seems like the mat feels a bit slippery. It makes me kinda nervous I will slip.
