This was a great idea for my husband. He needed some inexpensive snow pants. He usually shops in the big and tall section so all other options did n't fit. This was perfect because he gets hot so he had the protection and not the added heat. He just put them on top of some exercise pants.

They work great. Watched a long football game in driving rain and never soaked though.

I bought these pro action rain pants before a fly in fishing trip. It rained hard all day and sporadic on 3 other days. My legs did not get wet at all. Protected me from the wind when riding the boat across the lake. Made oversized to go over my jeans and long johns. The price is great.

This was a replacement pair for my old ones that had done me a good 10 years' service before the left zipper slide broke. I am 5' 2 '' and really appreciate Marmot making full- zip pants in `` short. '' Because I live in an arid region, I use these mostly in winter for backcountry ski touring, layered over a pair of thermal bottoms. Aside from my unfortunate experience with the previous zipper slide, I do like the robustness of the zipper teeth. The water repellency of the fabric needs to be renewed every once in a while with a spray- on product. I have never been wet on the inside. Good fit, relaxed legs( 5' 2 '', 125 lb. wear M- short). My inseam runs around 28- 29. ''

Just moved to Juneau AK and boy is it wet. I knew within in a week that not having rain pants wasn ’ t an option. I got these for their short length and full zip capabilities to put on and off with my boots. Would definitely recommend and they hold up to the rain for sure

[ Super lightweight but do the trick keeping you dry and warm. Great for the unpredictable and very cold Chicago weather! It ’s my go to when I ride.

[ These pants are great for hiking in wet weather! Slip them on over the shorts. For reference, 6' 1 '', slim build and pants were right at a good length for me( I usually get a 32 '' inseam). Do the job as intended. Got the matching jacket, both work great.

I dug a trench in the rain, in January, during some terrible rains in the middle of the night to keep my basement from flooding. I was dry and comfortable in these pants. I suspect it's more fun to talk in the woods with them and get sweaty, and I 'll try that too, but first rev of these in the field is positive.

[ These pants are wonderful! Very comfortable and multipurpose…. travel, casual, nice casual and hiking wear. These are well designed and tailored for almost any situation in which you find yourself. Not very technical looking which is great for easy transitioning from task to task

Pants are relatively lightweight, stretch is amazing, and super comfortable. They get wrinkly if you let them sit in the dryer for too long. So be careful on that.

I have Fessari Shorts that I love and this is my first time getting the pants. They are true to size and just as great feeling as the shorts. I like that the leg is a slightly tapered for a slimmer fit.

I 've had these for a few weeks now and I 'm a huge fan. They are a perfect everyday pant that still has a technical feel to them, being lightweight and stretchy. The trimmer fit looks great too. I 'd recommend for anyone that loves their Ferrosi hiking pants, but wants the look of a traditional 5 pocket pant.

These pants lived up to my expectations. I was looking for pants that were light, stretchy, and provided sun protection. Check, check, and check. I wore them in 90 degree heat and did n't think once about being too hot. And even though I purchased them for the outdoors, the khakis look good enough to wear to work. I would buy them again.

I use these leggings for running in cool to cold temperatures, and they do great with sweat management. The pocket is in a much better spot than the previous version so that they can be used to hold a phone or energy bar with minimal bouncing. They also do well in PNW wet weather, keeping my legs warm even when soaked through with rain.

Roberto
Predominantly a cold weather running pant, though I have used it for nordic skiing as well. I find the pant performs exactly as I hoped, meaning that I can run in above freezing temperatures without overheating, but do n't freeze at- 10C. Excellent fit, trim but not tight, great freedom of movement.

Very pleased. I 'm shorter/stockier( 5' 5 '' /170lbs) and the medium was great for me( 32 '' waist), although they fit a bit snugger than shown in the taller model on the website. VERY warm pants. I would have liked regular pockets as well, but the two side leg pockets work great for phone/keys. Great for shoveling snow or running and everything in- between!

This is my second pair of these pants. I think they are great. I use them all winter on mountain treks. Very comfortable and when it gets colder, I just layer with my merino wool underneath. I 'm 5- 7 '' and weigh 160#. And the mediums fit great.

I wore these pants 32 days straight while walking the Camino Frances in Spain. They were terrific. East to hand wash at night yet be dry in the morning. Lightweight for hot Spanish sunshine yet keeping me warm in the morning. Easy to zip off when your exertions make you sweaty. I did n't even bother alternating with the joggers from another brand, which quickly became my pajama bottoms for cold nights.

When selecting backpacking wind pants, consider features such as water resistance, breathability, and packability. Look for lightweight materials that can withstand wind and light rain while allowing moisture to escape. Additionally, features like adjustable cuffs and waistbands can enhance comfort and fit during your outdoor activities.
Backpacking wind pants are often made from synthetic materials such as nylon or polyester, which provide durability and resistance to the elements. Many also incorporate advanced technologies like GORE-TEX or other waterproof membranes to enhance protection against wind and rain. It's important to choose materials that balance weight, comfort, and performance for your specific needs.
Backpacking wind pants are designed primarily to protect against wind and light rain, making them suitable for a variety of weather conditions. However, in heavy rain or extreme cold, additional layers or specific waterproof pants may be necessary. Always consider the forecast and your planned activities when choosing the right pants for your trip.
Backpacking wind pants are typically lighter and more focused on wind resistance compared to regular hiking pants, which may prioritize durability and warmth. Wind pants often feature a more streamlined design for easier packing and movement, while hiking pants may offer additional pockets and reinforced areas for rugged use. Understanding these differences can help you select the best option for your outdoor adventures.
Yes, backpacking wind pants can be versatile for various outdoor activities beyond hiking, such as camping, climbing, or even casual outings in windy conditions. Their lightweight and packable nature makes them easy to carry and suitable for travel. Just ensure that the pants meet the specific requirements of your activity, such as breathability and comfort.
