[ I do n't like a lot of weight on my head because I suffer from chronic migraines. I love how much sun protection this hat offers for so little weight. I also love the structure of the hat. I had another brand hat that was lightweight, but it was very floppy. It just did n't hold any kind of shape. I have had other hats with nice structure, but it was a lot of weight on my head. This is a great combination of structure in a lightweight package.

I bought this hat well over a year ago and it is great. I even have another one in olive. It is NOT made in China, but by our next door neighbor Canada! Even though the brass rivets that hold the straps in place tarnished due to sweat due to constant use, Tilley gladly replaced them at no charge and told me how to clean the brass. This hat is versatile and comfortable. I had one for 10+ years that I wore on all kinds of adventures from hiking in the rain forests of Puerto Rico to hunting in the Rockies to river rafting to taking my dogs on walks until someone stole it out of my truck! They got a great hat and now I have a new one. I 'm looking forward to another decade or more with this one!

Everyone should have an Outdoor Research Seattle Rain Hat. It is waterproof, lightweight and packable. The Fatigue/Black that I order is as shown in the picture. I do agree with another reviewer that they should bring back the adjustable headband.
