Yes... I bought this for hot golfing days... I have to be careful in the sun... the sun is not my friend... so my dermatologist tells me.. great price... early delivery.. Try Dick's sporting good.. got lots of sports wear.. clubs etc!

[ I was in the market for a serious summer sun hat instead of the cheap ones available at all of the big box stores. After much research I decided on Sunday Afternoons Ultra Adventure Hat. I received it and I 'm lovin' it! The first thing I noticed was the air I could feel circulating on the top of my bald head. Having vents on your hat are important, however, they usually allow burning sun rays to filter through. Usually I have to decide between being sunburned without a hat or hot with a hat. The Ultra Adventure hat has happily made that decision for me with its ultraviolet protection factor of 50+, including the mesh panels. No more polka dot sunburned head! Also, its so light weight you can forget you have it on. It is really the lightest hat I have owned. Its hard to believe it can do its job and be so light on your head. The downward sloping 3 ¼ ” brim shades my entire face and the cape keeps the sun off my neck, which is another great design feature. This hat gives protection to head, face, neck and ears without being obtrusive. Other features include a sunglass lock that holds your glasses in place. It works too. I have tried to shake my head to dislodge them and they stay put. Also, if taking a hat in a back pack is an issue for you, this hat folds in half at the brim and can be kept in your pocket. Without a doubt, this is the best hat on the market and worth every penny. I urge people to give this hat a try if you are shopping for the best hat out there. Since its guaranteed for life, it will probably be the last sun hat you need to buy!! You may want to buy more though as soon as everyone sees how cool it is!

This hat fits well and travels well. I can wear it with the chin strap or tuck that into the hat when I do n't need it. I have not yet worn it in the rain. I know it's not water proof( the one feature it does n't have)- I hope the water resistance is good enough for summer squalls. I wear it in my urban neighborhood as well as the lake. I like the wide brim for sun protection.

5 Barbara
Great hat! Fits well and keeps the sun off me. Love the way it collapses so I can pack it in my suitcase.

5 Dawn
Great for keeping the sun of your face- wider brim than most hats. Folds up for storage. Fits much better than most hats on my apparently large head.

[ I ’ m a lifty at a ski resort in New Hampshire, I bought this for the rain and snow days, bEST hat I have ever owned!!! I get compliments every time I wear it, warm and keeps the wet out. Worth every penny and very Versatile

5 Lotus
[ I love the design of this rain/hiking hat. It has a nice felt lining and is wind resistant. Although this hat protects from the sun's harmful RAY 'S, it is not meant for really hot weather due to the felt lining( meant to keep your head warm). Outdoor Research makes sun hats that are more suited to the desert or really hot climates.

[ I go to the YMCA pool and met a nice couple that each had OR hats. I inquired about their hats. I liked what I heard so I purchased one for me and my husband. I love this hat I because it fits well, protects me from the sun and it is waterproof. I wear it when doing water exercise and when riding bike. I also purchased the Sombriolet sun hat which has a wider brim, vents and a chord to tighten to my head. I use both and I am very pleased because of the functionality and quality. PS I still use my baseball cap and visors.

5 Matt
[ This Hat does its job well. Light weight. Water resistant. Easily stuffed in a bag for storage. Retains it's shape after storage. I hav n't yet needed to use this hat in heavy rain, but it seemed to work well in light rain

5 Jenda
[ I bought this hat for my fair skinned husband. He wears it when he ’s working on the yard. It keeps his head cool and the sun out of his face. It ’s a winner!

[ The hat fit very well-- the back adjustment band is a little different but once I figured it out, no issues. The hat looks good and really works well in keeping the rain off your head and face.

5 HikerTone
[ I have worn Seattle Sombreros ever since the first generation of them hit the market. That line of hats are tough as nails. In fact I still have my first one from the late 1980s and it is still waterproof. This ball cap version looks just as durable and fits my big cranium with room to spare and believe me I have a hard time finding hats that are not too tight. OR has consistently made good gear and this cap measures up to the standard. The only problem with it is this; I do not think `` one size fits all '' will work for people with small heads. But other than that it is a good quality hat that is comfortable to wear even when it is hot.

5 EndlessMike
[ Great lower profile hat that fits me well and breathes enough, but can still repel some mist and light drizzle. Works great on those days when it's too warm for a beanie, but rain is still coming down. So basically half the year in the PNW.

5 Kent
This is my `` go- to '' hat. Light, rainproof, durable. I replaced my last one due to a stitching flaw and was under warranty. OR proviced great customer service!

5 Leonard
This is my go to hat for a rainy day. It sits well on your head, so you are n't always worried about the rain or wind knocking it off. It is well made and keeps your heard dry!

[ Loved the hat, but it was too big for me in the sm/med size so it flapped around too much in the wind. If they sized them as L, M, S I would have kept it.

5 particularlady
Waterproof hat in nice colors. Chin strap. Big brim to keep dry in the rain.

5 snuz55
[ The hat seems to fit well as I do have a relatively large head. It blocks sun well. Given I live in Florida, I have not been able to test in the rain yet. I read conflicting reviews on how waterproof it is. I plan to use for long hime in Portugal later this month. If I encounter torrential downpours, I will also have a waterproof hood to wear over top. I think the color I purchased is fine for what I need.

5 Donald
Yes, I 've already tested this hat in a storm and was delighted that it performed as advertised. Quite unlike others I have that leaked around the brim in heavy rains.

5 Kim M
Keeps you dry in a deluge... truly! And it's very packable.

I have had this hat for over 14 years and use it primarily for kayaking. When property fitted to my head, it stays on even with rolling and strong headwinds. This IS ONLY go- to hat when I paddle( it is my signature clothing). Unfortunately, after all these years of sunshine, salt, and surf I must retire it and purchase another.

5 Miles G
Nice hat, keeps the sun and rain off. Use for paddling.

After much research and checking out many types of hats, my son purchased the same( but older version) 15+ years ago to wear hike on a High Adventure Scout Outing to Philmount. It was waterproof with an SPF of 50 and very light. Snaps on the side came in handy as well as the adjustable size. Now- years later, when I reached out to the company- OR- and asked them about the SPF( I could n't remember that!) because I now have to protect my face from all sun. We corresponded a few times and were able to do the research to tell me as well as show me the current version which is the Seattle Rain Hat. And after all these years it still looks new. I HIGHLY recommend this company for any product. And I love the Seattle Rain Hat which I will be wearing all summer. https: //www. outdoorresearch. com/collections/rain- hats/products/seattle- rain- hat- 322290

Great hat, as other have said, can be a little warm in hotter climates. Kept my glasses dry and was super packable.

I initially bought this hat for kayaking in the southeastern US, and it's great for that regional combination of broiling sun and expected rain. So now, I live in southeast Alaska, and it's perfect for what people call the `` Juneau Rain Festival ''( 1 January- 31 December:)). It's also great in the chilly weather because I have the older model that has the fold- down fleec ear flaps. Wish they 'd bring those back because I sure could use a new one.
