I 'm so glad I did n't order these online, I opted to try on my normal size at a local retailer and they were crazy tight, like early 2000s skinny jeans. I then tried on 2 sizes up from my regular waist size and they fit nicely with a belt. If you work out and have thighs and glutes that are semi- built order a size or two up in the waist for mobility. As far as quality goes, I like the thickness and rigidity of the material, definitely a nice resistant fabric.

Replacing an older TNF Goretex hard shell that held up for a very long time until the zippers failed. First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just roomy enough that layering with mid layer does n't feel bulky and stuffed. Although the armpit area is a bit snug, I have a Denali fleece so maybe the newer FutureFleece models will fit better. Things that could make it better: Thumb Loops/thin stretchy material at the end of the sleeves, like they have with the first tracks down jacket. Maybe a loop or hole near the neck gaiter area to store sunglasses when not on your face( one of the drawbacks of all pieces with the neck gaiter style). The front chest pocket ripstop is kinda loud(?) when brushed against. Not a huge deal just an inference. Things I love: the warmth, it's surprisingly warm. Pair it with a waterproof shell and you should be good in most places. The fit( subjective), I am usually in between sizes and sized up- it fits exactly how I expect/want, I 'd say true to size. I actually like the small hood, also subjective, but this will stay on my head without a helmet for just wearing casually which is what I wear it for. Probably too small for wearing with a helmet if riding. And a couple really cool features that I never knew I needed: The adjustable cinch at the bottom of the piece allows you to taper/close the bottom towards the hips. One issue I have with 99% of every fleece I 've had is the fabric kinda `` floats out '' towards this hip area when wearing, and makes you look larger than you actually are. This is a great solution for that, so it makes fits quite a bit better with this cinch feature. Another is the pocket- ception, the secret stash pocket within the kangaroo pocket is a sneaky place to store small items. Who does n't love a good stash pocket? Love the print, something other than just one color. I 've been wearing it the last few days and want to wear it all the time, it's extremely comfortable. I imagine I will be grabbing this piece more often than most others in my closet this winter. Very happy with this purchase.

The oversized hood goes over my helmet and keeps me very cozy. Easily the best jacket I ’ ve invested in. It is a little big but that does allow me to layer comfortably while still maintaining mobility. I ’ d prefer this over a tighter fit and baggy is steezier anyway. If anything, I would prefer zippered internal pockets but that ’s just me being nit picky.

Definitely a jacket for specific shoulder season weather: colder, semi- dry days. It's a warm jacket that sadly does n't have pit zips to let heat out when the hiking/climbing gets going. I had to fully unzip the front and leave it open. Would n't use it as a rain jacket. Could be used as a light snow jacket. I 've been using it as a springtime( and fall) belay jacket and it works great. If you get caught in a drizzle the repellancy works shedding water and wind. Love the soft, stretch fabric that does n't restrict moment and allows me to wear just a t- shirt underneath if need be. Big pockets all with good zippers and it packs into its own pocket. The hand cuffs are interesting and remind me of cycling jackets that are longer on top to keep water off the back your hands. It has stretch band cuff on the underside along wrist. Maybe they should have stuck with classic Velcro straps to adjust cuff tightness-- only time will tell. Overall i like the jacket as my backup for when i do n't expect bad weather but need something just in case. A great jacket for walking around town too.

I can tell it ’s going to be warm enough for the E coast winter but what really blows my mi d is just how light it is. Keeps me warm in the 30s easily with just a normal shirt and a sweater. With real layers I have been able to walk approx 30 minutes round trip in the low 20s and strong winds. It ’s very warm and also gives you that psychological warmth boost of a fat, cozy puffer. The length is just right if you need a big outermost layer but don ’ t want a full parka length. I am normally between S and M for most things and a S easily fits me even with a chunky sweater. The two internal mesh pockets are clutch.

happy with this jacket. i used at mt Bachelor for four days. it was cold week but i never got cold, in fact i had to open vents. i 'm 6' 1 '' and its very comfortable fit. hood its true helmet compatible. main zipper sometimes was stubborn but manageable. i would improve the top of inside part of zipper where Gore- Tex material is touching your face/ mouth when hood is over the helmet by putting softer cloth material, maybe even this piece could be removable for often cleaning. overall good jacket.

Pull it out of your kit at a windy summit or the top of a pitch. If you are slim and athletic, it fits true to your usual size. I work as a climbing guide in Colorado, so my work takes me to a variety of locations and climates. My initial guess as to what the Keele would be like was similar to other grid fleeces: lightweight and flexible. The latter is more true than the former. This layer was surprisingly heavy- and I think that's fantastic. It presents a different layering option than other mid- layers that tend to strive to be light. The inner fabric is extremely soft, so it feels great next to skin. I was caught in a mild drizzle and the outer fabric did a great job beading water and not letting me get soaked. I 'm 5'10 '' 165 and it felt just a hair big on me. If it was colder( ice climbing or mountaineering) I would appreciate the room to layer. As the only mid- layer I was wearing it was just a slight bit big, but I did n't find that problematic at all.

I am a rock climbing guide who guides across Colorado and Utah and its important for me to have gear that works well, is durable and looks professional. I was excited for this hoody to arrive as it checked a lot of those boxes for me. The large fits ideally for me at 6' 2 '', 215lbs and long arms. I have a bit of an issue in the past with MHW sizing as it seemed I was right in between a L and XL but this jacket fits wonderfully. The waterproofing is functional if you are stuck in some light rain, as the water will bead right off. The brushed grid interior gives the hoody that cozy feel which means you 'll never want to take it off. It is a lot denser of a hoody than I was expecting but that's a positive in my books. I really think this hoody is for anyone who wants a full zip mid layer jacket but it will find itself at home the most in the backpacks of you Spring rock climbers!

I am a search and rescue volunteer and climbing wall instructor who spends my time in Arizona and Washington state. Working in a wide range of environmental conditions requires that my gear does the same. I ordered the Keele grid hoody as large, my usual size, and I found it fit true to size. The Keele hoody has performed exceptionally while climbing, traveling, and hiking. The recycled polyester double weave fabric is my favorite feature of the Keele. Its brushed back grid interior is soft and wicks moisture well while the DWR coating on the exterior provides durability and water resistance. Even when soaked through, the Keele kept me warm climbing in less- than- ideal conditions. The three- piece hood functions incredibly well and I found it fit over or under a climbing helmet. I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Keele and recommend it as a base or mid layer for nearly any outdoor endeavor.

You can never have too many midlayers! This statement is always true, and that is one of the many reasons the Keele Grid hoody is something you should get. I 'm 5' 9 '' 165lbs. and the medium fits comfortably. It does n't have a really technical fit like an r1; it's a more relaxed fit. Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

Its's difficult to find hiking capris with pockets. These solve that very well! 4 mesh pockets that hold basic necessities for a real hike. Solid construction, comfortable& wash well. Glad I have 2 pair.

Exceptional comfort and function. Perfect for around the house but provide the performance you need while on the trail. I used these for a 7 day backpacking trip in early April in Great Smoky Mountain National Park and these performed in all conditions from quickly drying after a soaking rain to providing warmth on freezing morning days to sweat- wicking as the temperatures rose into the 80's. They did n't stretch- out when wet or well- worn.

I needed a fully waterproof jacket that was lightweight and gave lots of coverage for long dog walks. This is a good one which goes to mid thigh on me( 5' 2 '') with the rounded swoop in the back that looks a bit stylish. The hood is adjustable so it stays put and the collar gives lots of coverage as do the longer sleeves which can cover my hands or adjust with velcro at the wrist and the zippers are waterproof. The pockets are nice and deep with waterproof zippers also. I 'd give it a 5/5 if there were more than 2 external pockets

Simply the best jacket. Super light weight, I never have to worry about sacrificing weight for comfort. I just throw it in my bag now and do n't even think about it. It washes quite well too, as I run it through the ringer at work and camping. The down has not had a problem after about 45 washes with wool balls on regular temps. It's not water proof, but for light rains I have not had to throw on a rain jacket and have not felt that it was damp after.

This is a nice jacket—super versatile. I use it for night walks around the neighborhood and camping trips to the desert. It keeps me warm even on really cold nights. My favorite feature, though, is how roomy it feels. It allows plenty of flexibility, even when I layer up. This is my second one, and this time, I went for the hooded version.

These bibs have been great so far. They kept me dry and warm skiing and a 4 day snowmobile trip. They are lighter but windproof. I was debating between these and the more expensive Gore- Tex version but these stood up very well.
