Interesting to see the various issues around clumped filling. I 've used this jacket around the globe in various environments so it's had plenty of washes. I 've never experienced the clumping issues. I wash it separately shake it out and hang to dry. When dry I give it another shake and off we go. No clumping, no gaps, no issues.

I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. Yes, this is a cropped boxy fit and runs a bit big. As long as you know that going into the purchase you won ’ t be disappointed. It ’s a FP dupe and a pretty good one( better than ones I found on Amazon). I am usually between a S and M and will often go with M in items like this to layer. But after reading reviews, I went with a S and I ’ m very happy. I can still layer under it but it ’s not too long, the sleeves are perfect and it ’s just baggy enough to be cute. I ’ m 5 ’ 3 ” and 145 for reference. I got the green and I like it but be warned it ’s a color that changes drastically depending on the light. Sometimes it looks darker or lighter and sometimes it pulls blue and almost looks teal. I ’ m considering buying in a second color because so far it has felt pretty warm and comfy to me.

First off, the product does not have a hood& the cuffs/hood/hem do not have cinch capability. That being said I love this! The hem is shorter in front, longer in back. A great feeling warm jacket! I have a 40 '' chest, 34 '' waist, 160 lbs and the medium fits great. Have worn in temps ranging from mid 30s to mid 40s and have been warm with just a cotton long sleeve under it. Love the stretch of the durable fabric and the matte green color. Also, this jacket does n't have the `` marshmallow look '' of other downs. Overall, this is the best down jacket I have owned and look forward to years of use.

[ I could n't wait to wear this jacket once the weather got cooler in Texas. The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. Unlike some puff jackets, they can be very heavy and bulky. The jacket is ideal for 35+ degree weather or a little under if you layer well underneath. Also, keep in mind my 35- degree weather may feel warmer to others who live in areas that get lots of snow and wind. I have n't had the chance to wash it, but the material seems like it will hold up well in a normal wash cycle. I think I may have needed to go to a smaller size, I had plenty of space in the jacket zipped.

Great winter weather coat. Solid zipper, comfortable good. High quality. Fit is full/relaxed but still looks modern, not going to make you look like a marshmallow. Length is not cropped but not long, hits well at the hips.

I ’ ve had this jacket for over two years and I still love it. I wear it most of the year with varying degrees of layers. I love the lower side pockets where I can tuck my hands comfortably( some of the other fjallraven parkas don ’ t have lower side pockets in the women ’s version). I love the variety of pocket types and locations and use all of them. I love the cut and style. I love the color. I have the blue one which is such a beautiful tone. And I love how durable it is. I spend a lot of time in the forest with thorny vines, conifer branches, and a rowdy dog, and it has held up amazingly. Even in lots of rain when the wax layer is up- to- date. It has faded a little. I ’ m not sure if the slight fade is because of use or because I need to be better at waxing it. Please never stop making this jacket.

So glad I have this coat. I live in SE Tennessee so winters are more mild than my original home in the Midwest, but the fit allows me to layer so I 'm confident even during my travels this jacket is a one stop shop. I bought a large. I 'm 5' 2 '', 34J and usually wear a M/L top, size 12. The large fits perfectly, again, with enough room to layer a sweatshirt or sweater underneath comfortably. It does n't look too big without the extra layer under it either. My ONLY super slight complaint is that the sleeves are way too long( which is a common complaint for me). If they were an inch shorter it would be completely perfect, but I think the cut of the coat is such that they 're meant to be longer anyway. It's a specific thing for us shorter folks and it's not anything to make or break the jacket for me personally. I went out of my way to pay full price for it just to get the color I wanted( it was on sale at a wholeseller but did n't have the Acorn color in stock any more), which is n't something I do often. I 've had similar coats that cost less but did n't fit as well, and the versatility, adaptability adjustability, potential longevity of this jacket makes it worth every penny.
