These all- weather sneaker- boots are great looking and rugged. With the insulation and foot bed padding they are fairly snug at first. After a couple days of break- in, however, they are coming around fine. If you prefer a roomy fit, maybe get a half- size bigger than normal.

These boots are wonderful. My first week in them I drove the from Haines AK to Anchorage AK in October. They were perfect for the wet, the snowy, and the cold. My only concern is how long they will hold up, looking forward to finding out!

Just returned from AK and I had the chance to wear these in ice and snow. They are very stable, I did n't slip at all. The fit is nice because it allows for a thicker sock, but I did order my usual size. The sole has a noticeable cushion, which I like. There is a low pile/fleece lining that feels good! I own many pairs of Xtratufs and these are probably going to be one of my favorites!

Very easy to slip on and secure once on your foot. This can be difficult to achieve with a slip- on boot, but these nail it. The rubber material is completely waterproof, and the bottom tread is excellent on icy surfaces. If you live in a cold, coastal area( Maine, Alaska, Nova Scotia, etc) these will be a lifesaver in the winter months. [ I am normally a size 6 but tried the 7 since that ’s what was available. I figured I am wearing heavier socks in the winter. The fit is good, even with thinner socks. There is room so it doesn ’ t feel too big or too small. All of that fur will definitely keep my feet warm in the winter. It hits about mid calf for me, which I like. They will be perfect for a snowy winter.

I sprayed them with a water bottle as a test to the waterproof claim and the water beaded and rolled right off. The inserts are thick and have a ton of cushion to add to the overall comfortability. Coming from a perma cold- footed gal-- these boots are Alaska rated! When paired with an ultra thick pair of DarnTough or Smartwool mountaineer socks, these boots will keep your toes warm when you 're outside for several hours and temps dip to 0°. The Vibram outsole has a nice tread pattern to enhance traction in snow. Laces are thick and stay tied whether the boot shaft is rolled down or tucked under snow pants. TTS-- I have narrow feet and purchased a 6. 5. They have plenty of room to layer socks and are easy to walk in. I typically wear a 37 in Birkenstocks, a 7 in Merrell boots and Altra running shoes. If you have a wide foot, these may not be the boots for you. Whether worn for shoveling the driveway, winter walks, or running errands, your feet will stay nice and cozy.

I ’ m on my second Canadian winter with these. Very warm, very comfortable. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.
