I searched for the perfect everyday hat for what felt like for- ev- er. When I came across the Luna hat in Brindle in a store some years ago, I knew I had finally found my unicorn. I 've had this hat for about 5 years now, and it's my go- to for when my face will need sun protection but I still want to look cute... farmers market, outdoor events, travelling, etc. The medium brown color goes with everything, the leather band gives it a polished look, the shape has just enough structure but still feels casual. I live in a hot climate( Central Texas) so a cool and breathable hat is essential. With our weather, this hat gets 3 seasons of use. Do n't be deterred by the `` paper '' content... the braid feels very soft and it's also durable. I love to wear this hat around town or when we ’ re out on sunny days. It ’s very comfortable, and the brim holds its shape well. I don ’ t use it when I ’ m out gardening or mowing the lawn because I prefer my other Sunday afternoon sun hat that I can throw in the washing machine if it get dirty. That ’s not to say that I couldn ’ t use this for light yardwork. It would be great with the sun protection, I just prefer to not get mine dirty. My original Sunday afternoon son had served me well for 20+ years.

I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. Very versatile and can be used in any number of scenarios. Thanks for a great product!
