This was my first pair of mid hikers( I prefer ankle height) but I immediately loved how comfortable these boots felt when I tried them on. I bought them for a trip to Sri Lanka, and my first hike with them ended up being an all- day 8- mile trek in the rain forest – I didn ’ t know this going into the hike or I might have worn my broken- in boots instead! The FloatPro insole is the equivalent to an expensive orthotic insole in that it is supportive and yet has good cushion. It will be a go- to hiker since it did very well in the ice and snow. I bought these for Oregon as an all weather wear. I love the no slip sole. I wore chains to walk around outside as a camp host in the snow and ice. I no longer need my shoe chains. [ Searched around a lot. Bought these because my husband has Vasques and loves them. They ’ re comfy so far( just worn around the neighborhood and a couple short 1- 2 mile hikes). Grip seems good. I wore them in some slush/ice and had no issues. I think they ’ re really attractive. Was worried that the white sole would stain easily and look junky, but so far it ’s been fine. Haven ’ t been in mud yet though. I gave the comfort 4 stars because there ’s a spot where the upper was rubbing when I was breaking them in. It ’s gotten better and I imagine it will go away once they ’ re fully broken in. I ’ m also not used to having that much ankle coverage, so it could be that that ’s affecting me.

[ I have hiked 1000's of miles on Asolo boots over the years and had many models. This one runs a tad bigger ue I have always been a 10 in the boot line so I would say it fits more like a 10. 5 but comfortable. Very rigid sole, which I look for in a boot and slightly on the heavier side, which does n't bother me. I did see where someone complained about a stitching clustster were the toungue is sewn together amd that was rather uncomfortable as it sat directly beneath one of the lace locks. I took a pair of flat nose pliers to the material wad.. for lack of a better term.. lol and worked it over a bit w the pliers squeezing and turning wo tearing it! So do n't go to crazy just cruah it down and it solved that problem rather easily. Great boot. Fit is larger. Crush the extra material to soften it.

I sincerely hope that Vasque does n't discontinue the Breeze LT GTX. I 've had a pair of clunkier Vasque's and a pair of Merrell's and these outperform both hands down. I 've worn these in the winter with a thicker pair of socks and in the summer with a thinner pair of socks over the last year of having them and they hold up great in both( although not designed as a winter/snow boot). Hiking summers in Boise desert heat is hard, and these have not once given me a blister, been uncomfortable, or made me question my footing. Everything about them is phenomenal! I recommend them to all of my friends and will continue to buy more pairs. Now I just want more color options please!:)

[ I 've only done about 20 miles in these boots so far, but am VERY happy with them! I read reviews all over the place and decided to follow the advice of ordering a half size up, I will always have to wear a thick sock with them but feel it was still the right way to go. After reading the reviews I was a little concerned about the `` strange arch support '' mentioned by many. I was worried it was going to be similar to Chacos, which I cant wear because of the large arch support, however it's not like that at all and gives more support under your heal( not sure how to best explain this(:) and I find it very comfortable. These seemed pretty stiff at first but after one 5 mile hike they loosened up and feel very similar to a tennis shoe. I do have to mention that the heal box is oddly large, this does n't seem to be an issue for me, but thought I would mention it incase it would be helpful to someone else. All in all I would say if your on the fence about these you should just go for it!

Amazingly comfortable. They make my feet feel loved. They grip well enough that I can step on slimy rocks without slipping. Only downside is they 're a bit warm for midsummer in the sun, but I think that's just the tradeoff for them being cozy in the snow as well as surprisingly waterproof- I 've dunked them two inches deep in streams and the water sheeted right off. My only request is to please bring these back in men's wide sizes- my husband has heard me talk about how great these are but ca n't find a pair in his size!

[ I bought these before a trip to hike Joshua Tree and was impressed with all the reviews indicating they were super comfortable and didn ’ t have to be broken in. So I bought them and have zero regrets! I wore them with a pair of Smartwool socks and had them on more than half the day and didn ’ t have one second of discomfort. I ’ ve recommended these to everyone but remember they ’ re not waterproof.

I normally wear a size 8 in boots and sneakers, but had to exchange these for a 7. 5. Even with thick socks, the 8 was too big. Can ’ t wait to try them out this weekend!

The only thing that needs improvement is the laces do n't hold that well as they are tied from the toe up, they slide on the material of the boot. First, I ’ d like to share how amazing Vasque ’s customer service is. I initially purchased a differed boot that wasn ’ t hardy enough for the type of hiking I do- Vasque allowed me to return the boot immediately! So instead of going back to the brand I was with before( Scarpa) I decided to stick with Vasque and purchased this boot with my refund money. I am so glad I did. These boots really hold up with all the things the white mtns throw at you with little break in needed. I did need to loosely lace the boots and insert a toe box stretcher for my own needs but the boot has now confirmed to my foot. I fully submerged both feet by mistake several times. My feet were kept dry and warm. I felt my ankles were supported and my boots got more comfortable as my hike went on. I think I used the first 10 miles of the boot to break it in- and I just completed a 20 mile, 4 4000k peak hike in the whites. Zero blisters or hot points on my feet. Thank you vasque!!!

I bought these boots a month or two ago and honestly, I ’ ve been spoiled. No other shoe will do lol. I have hypermobile joints, arthritis in my feet, bunions, and roll my ankles a lot; I ’ ve been on the hunt for the perfect shoe for years so that I could not be in pain every time I walk and this is it! Fantastic arch support( especially with a memory foam Redwing insole), great ankle support( no more rolling ankles), and the fit and construction are perfect. Very little breaking in, just squeaky for a bit. Absolutely recommend for people with delicate feet or folks who need a lot of support! I can work on my feet all day and not feel any pain. [ Been wearing the Vasque breeze since 2016 and never had a blister in this boot. Quality is good, never had an issue. The only thing that wears is the tread which is to be expected from normal wear and tear and backpacking in extremely rocky conditions. Would recommend. I won ’ t wear anything else.

I have been buying the breeze boot for about 20 years now. I would agree that the laces need to be a bit longer so you can double tie them. On zappos web site they advertise that the 7742 has gore tex lining and vibram soles, you might want to check on that one. Other than that the boots are really comfortable.

I 've been through many iterations of the Vasque Breeze, for hiking, search/rescue, and everyday wear. I 'm now looking for a new pair of the 7742, but I see much to my disappointment that the outer sole is no longer Vibram. The part number is the same, but the sole is n't. I wo n't bet my life on anything other than Vibram, so that's the end of the Breeze for me. RIP.

I have worn so many different hiking shoes/boots over the years and have struggled to find something that I really like. I love these Talus ATs. My feet are a little bit wide and these are the perfect width for me. They are sturdy and there was no break in period for me. The insoles are basic so I put in my own insoles and they are super comfortable. I have been wearing these shoes for 6 months and probably wear them 5x a week, whether for hiking or to work.

[ These are great hiking shoes by Danner. Good arch support and lots of room in the toe area. I walk 25 miles a week in the hills on pavement. I 've had issues with my feet in the past, but not in these shoes. My feet feel great after wearing all day. I love them so much, I bought another pair. I wear an 8. 5 in a shoe, but wear a 9 in these shoes as with most athletic shoes.

[ Some reviewers mentioned these fit snuggly, so I was cautious because I do have quite wide feet. I 'm glad I took the risk because though I do find it helps to make use of a shoe horn to ease putting them on, with thin running socks they fit just right! Snug but not too tight. I have arthritic knees, and these have the perfect combination of cushion and stability for walking on a variety of terrain, from light hiking trails to gravel to sidewalk. I had wished for different color options, but when they arrived I found the salmon color quite striking, so I 'm quite pleased with that in the end too.
